Nestled in Costa Rica's Nicoya Peninsula, this eco-friendly paradise boasts stunning surfing beaches, vibrant wildlife, and a laid-back vibe that keeps visitors coming back.
I Attended the World's First Official Blue Zone Retreat, Here’s What I Learned
"An area in Costa Rica known for its high concentration of centenarians, recognized as one of the world's five Blue Zones where people live exceptionally long and fulfilling lives."
"The Beaches of Golfo Nicoya The Nicoya Peninsula, on Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast, is lined by some of the country’s loveliest golden-sand beaches. Surfers love them for their gnarly offshore waves, but wilder species converge here, too—including several endangered sea turtle species (who, during nesting season, come in droves to lay their eggs). In early mornings, visitors to beaches like Playa Caletas (who often explore on horseback) may hear howler monkeys in the trees edging the shore. Timing your excursions right is key when viewing wildlife. All Lindblad-National Geographic Costa Rica & Panama expeditions strive to explore wild habitats when their residents are most active. Sponsored by Lindblad-National Geographic"
Best way to get there is by plane. Long rough ride.
I was at Finca Exotica ecolodge.
The staff, the food and setting is amazing. Rustic place on the weekend people are coming from all over, meditation, yoga and good relaxing music , played by the guest.

One of my most favourite places on earth. So much beauty, so many beaches, so little time! The Nicoya Peninsula is truly a gem.

Beautiful area of Costa Rica. Lots of hills and unspoiled jungle. The beaches of Mal Pais have great waves. Montezuma is a fun funky town with a short hike to a waterfall. Tambor is a beautiful bay with gentle waves. Lots to explore on your own. Great shore fishing as well as sports fishing.

Cannot wait until the southern beaches have paved roads. Many rushing river crossings and broken bridges during the rainy season. Beautiful coastline and sunsets.
