Nidaros pilegrimsgård

I didn't get to stay here but this was the best place to start my pilgrimage to Nidaros!!! Ingeborg was incredibly gracious and helpful!!! Made me want to go back and start another pilgrimage where I could earn my St Olav Pilgrimage certificate. Ingeborg was so extraordinarily kind!!! I bought several memorial items to bring more meaning to my pilgrimage visit! I hope to journey back again!

As expected, it was very basic. What I did not expect was fading paint and someone walking into my room during the night. Luckily the person went straight out again. I informed the receptionist the following day, but got no explanation or follow up on what could have happened. ||The good: Great location, friendly staff, clean room, good bed and the water was HOT.

Nice and quiet location! Very nice, friendly and helpful people! We got nice tip about cycling website and they helped us with our parking problem! We are very thankful and had a nice and pleasant stay!

Very well maintained and pristine rooms that are welcoming to arriving Pilgrims that have been camping or staying at farmhouses nightly over the past week(s).

Such a grand finale after finishing the Gudbrandsdalsleden! The location is perfect, close to the Nidaros cathedral. The rooms are functional and very clean. The service is amazing; the staff will go out of their way to be of assistance. And the food, breakfast and otherwise is very tasty. Definitely a good choice!

We came upon this cafe as we were strolling around having visited the cathedral. I believe it is a hostel for pilgrims to the beautiful Nideros Cathedral. The place is very quaint and olde wordle but we had a lovely coffee and cake in very pleasant surroundings. Would be an excellent place to stay as the location is first class.

Unusual place. It was originally a pilgrim hostel and some of the clients still use it as such. The lounge/ breakfast room is furnished in a chintzy Victorian style. The breakfast was cold buffet only but very nice. Our room had no tv but for us this did not matter. Arriving by car, the route was a bit tortuous and the final approach felt like driving along a path in a public park, but it was correct. The location right next to the cathedral is great for a wander round town.

This hotel is very old and not in a great condition. Both the room and the common areas smell like church and old people. However, the location is truly perfect. They also offer breakfast consisting of home baked bread at the neighbour café, which was excellent.
