This location was probably the most visually stunning places I’ve ever been to, and the food absolutely matched its gorgeous location. We were so appreciative of the vegan menu, and it did not disappoint. Most notably, the spring rolls were so incredibly fresh and so delectable that we had to get a second order. The cocktails were incredibly delicious - it was also so fun to watch the “fizz” cocktail be prepared from the air canister, and it was incredibly light and refreshing. The entire staff was so attentive and gracious, they truly made us feel welcome and made the whole experience enjoyable. Both the view and the food made this a dinner experience I’ll never forget!

NIDO Sushi at Viceroy Hotel – A Taste of Excellence (With a Side of Rush) Nestled within the luxurious Viceroy Hotel in Cabo San Lucas, **NIDO Sushi** offers an unforgettable dining experience with its exquisite flavors and stunning ambiance. From the moment we stepped in, the sleek, modern décor and intimate lighting set the tone for what promised to be a memorable meal—and the food did not disappoint. We opted for the **sampler menu**, which was an absolute delight—each piece of sushi and sashimi was impeccably fresh, with delicate flavors that melted in the mouth. The **toro sashimi** was a standout, buttery and rich, living up to its premium reputation. The **sushi roll** we ordered was equally impressive, beautifully presented and packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every bite confirmed that NIDO takes its sushi seriously. The service was mostly outstanding—our waiters were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate** about the menu, enhancing the experience with their recommendations and warm hospitality. However, the otherwise perfect evening was slightly marred by the **manager**, who felt overly eager to rush our dishes. While we understand the pace of fine dining, the constant pressure to finish plates quickly detracted from the relaxed, indulgent atmosphere we were hoping for. Despite this, NIDO Sushi remains a must-visit ,for anyone craving top-tier sushi in Cabo. The flavors are exceptional, the setting is breathtaking, and the ,staff (minus the pushy manager) elevate the experience**. Just be prepared to dine at their tempo—or kindly ask to savor each bite at your own pace.

Daniel and Anyano were amazing and the best service! The whole meal was a great experience and honestly the best seafood sashimi I have ever had.

Setting: 5 stars! This is obviously a huge reason for coming to Nido as it’s one of a kind. The hotel is awesome and unique and the best is both a wonder at night and during the day. Service: Marco Polo was great as well as the hostess that sat us and the valet that also showed us to the restaurant. This great hospitality was the big reason the review was not less. Food/price: this was the disappointing part....for the price there is an expectation of great flavor and none of the dishes had that. The fish was bland and texture chewy, pork sliders were tough and again without any taste, the won tons were spicy but could have tasted like a pizza pocket for that matter. I do not mean to be cruel ****there is a service charge and tax added automatically. I hope the servers know this will directly effect their tip unless of course the night is perfect and if the food isn’t fixed that’s not likely******

Google
Incredible restaurant located within the Viceory resort in San Jose del Cabo. Definitely one of the most beautiful properties in the world. Excellent restaurant with incredible food, excellent service and astonishing views of the Gulf of California. The clams were my favorite dish and probably one of the tastiest thing I've ever had. The cocktails were perfect. Overall, an absolutely perfect meal. A must visit!

Google
This restaurant was just so cool to dine at. The structure is built to resemble a birds nest surrounded by water. It was absolutely stunning. The food and service were also amazing! I would definitely recommend the spicy miso soup which was delicious and the pork belly bao buns which were so fluffy and flavorful. Everything we ordered was great and the staff explained their recommendations along with most of the menu. Can't recommend this place enough, it was definitely a great experience!

Google
Art. One of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever seen, you are literally eating inside a piece of artwork. The service is impeccable and everything is pristine. I was a little disappointed in the quality of the food and drinks at this price point. It is good, just not worth the price tag. Still a must see for anyone in Cabo.

Google
Incredible food, service staff, and food. We had the 7 course tasting menu experience. Every course was delicate, flavorful and beautifully plated. Their attention to detail was the by far the best experience we had the pleasure to enjoy in Cabo.

Yelp
Definitely worth going to. We had the tasting menu and started with some oysters. Daniel had waited on us and was 5 Star service all night! The aesthetic of the restaurant was the perfect date night, placed in the middle of the Viceroy Los Cabos. Can't say enough good things about the experience here.

Yelp
This restaurant in located in the rear of a hotel. The ViceRoy hotel. Once in the rear you walk on a wooded path. Almost appears to be floating on water. Super cool. As soon as I stepped inside this huge egg shaped dome made of twigs and sticks I was hit with HEAT! There is no vent at the top of it. And the open cooking area is in the center. It just felt as if there was zero breeze / ventilation. Once seated I felt awkward. The chairs were are uncomfortable. My feet could not touch the floor when I was seated on these cheap white plastic chairs. I am 5'5. We asked for a bottle of water. They poured acouple glasses for us and then took the water away. When I found a server I asked where my bottle of water was. It was half full. He said they keep in behind the counter cooling. I said please bring it back. I felt the food was average and way way overpriced. One glass of wine - cheapest white wine glass is $24. Its the same cheap stuff I pay $15 / bottle back home. The sushi was all rice topped with fish. Not stuffed. So it falls over when you grab a piece to dip in soy sauce. The place is cool but way overpriced for average food.

Yelp
The food was good. Especially the grilled shrimp. The service was excellent. Shamanta was very helpful explaining the menu and making sure everything was to our liking. The setting is the real star.

Yelp
The restaurant has a stunning ambiance, creating a romantic setting for a date night. While the service was somewhat mediocre, the employees were still nice. I ordered a Martini with a twist and had to send it back twice because they mixed it with olives. The Pork Belly Buns, priced at around $25 for two were very tasty, though the Chicken Robatayaki left much to be desired. The paired sauces was were good though. Make sure to get them to add some flavor into the rice. Overall, you visit this restaurant because of the atmosphere, not the food/service. I would still recommend for a special date night.

Yelp
Well, part of this review is for the stunning location and layout surrounding the restaurant. Whether you are a fan of Westworld (TV series) or not, there is simply no way to not love the absolute beauty of the Viceroy and how the "pod" that makes up the restaurant comes together for the perfect and non-stop Instagram moments. If you come here for dinner, arrive just before the sunsets as the change in lighting will transform the entire surroundings as the minutes tick by. You will find yourself getting up from the table just to capture more images as the night moves forward. Service was top-notch, and the kitchen is literally right in the middle of the place too. There was a chef prepared starter for the table as we dug into the menu to figure out where to start. Yes, you can order individually, but doing it family style for whatever sized table you have is the better way to go. We managed to sample almost everything on the menu, including the sashimi, the fried chicken, the shrimp tempura, the dumplings, the pork belly buns, the Japanese table side grill, and more. Everything was consistently good and the pace of service went along well for the experience too. In the end, the bill wasn't that bad either for a table of our size. I still enjoy staying closer to Cabo San Lucas, but for dinner this place is worth the trek!

Yelp
We had an exceptional meal here. The entire experience was a sight for all the senses. The architecture is mind-blowing. The food was creative, aesthetically presented, and plain delicious. Check out the pictures... The service was great, the wait staff is fluently bi-lingual and extremely friendly and warm. I am coming back for sure!

Yelp
Get ready for the most amazing sushi you have ever had! Service was amazing, ambiance was so uniquely awesome, and the food....OMG, the food! The fish was so fresh, meticulously prepared, and presented in a well-timed flow to make our overall experience GREAT. I highly recommend this when you are in Cabo.

Yelp
Great food and the service was impressive. Ambiance was awesome with the structure and pool in the background. If you get a chance to try this restaurant please do

Yelp
This sushi place was a dream!!! I couldn't wait to come here when we were visiting Cabo. I made reservations in advance which I recommend. I reached out to them 4 weeks out via email to make sure we would get a table during the time of our stay. I was so blown away by the resort and the restaurant! It's outdoors in a structure that looks like a bird's nest. Love all the vibes here! Just walking up to it was amazing. It's a sight you must see and experience in person. Pictures don't do justice. And the service was wonderful! I loved their nigiri!! Sooo soo fresh and flavorful. Everything came out pretty quickly and looked beautiful. The presentation was everything. Overall this is a great place for a date night and an experience I won't ever forget.

Yelp
Beautiful location and hotel. Food was delicious! Oysters were my fav! Very flavorful! Service was very accommodating!

Yelp
So my jaw dropped when I saw the "nest" we were dining in. The water surrounding it, the lights, it was so beautiful, elegant and romantic. If I wasn't already married I would've been pissed off at my husband for not proposing here lol The food was delicious. Smaller plates. Beautiful presentation. However... the prices here were ridiculously high. Maybe it was the hotel it was in to begin with? But oooooof. It was hard to enjoy our meal because of how pricey each item was. And trust me, my husband isn't afraid to spend money on food that is worth splurging on. We (thankfully) weren't starving coming into this restaurant. We shared chocolat clams, a mushroom salad, and hamachi. Like I said, everything was good. But maybe not for the prices they were presented with. So if you're more on a budget, come here for an appetizer or two!

Yelp
The structure made for a unique experience but dint cine here when it's hot out. It's built form sticks so there basically out doors. We can for dinner and it was unbearably hot. The menu is limited and the food was basic and mediocre at best with a high price tag. I wouldn't comeback especially considering there are plenty of other better dining experiences nearby.

Yelp
The ambiance was so nice! Feels like you are in a nice cocoon! Made a reservation here since we were not able to make one at our hotel next door. The food was good as well but I don't think it was anything too special. Tip was included in our bill even though it was only for 2. Overall a great experience and a really nice last vacation dinner.

Yelp
We stayed at Cabo Azul which has a Javier's on site that is wonderful. We wanted to try something different and found Nido near by. The food tasted good but man the portions were small and prices were very high. The waiter actually said the portions are intentionally small but meant to be shared. What? You want us to share something that is already not enough for 1 person but still charge us $30 per plate? We ended up only ordering apps which was a sushi sampler platter of 5 pieces, and the assorted raw bar starter. We each had 1 cocktail and the bill was $87 USD. Yea 2 appetizers and 2 drinks for essentially $100 in Mexico. It just doesn't make sense when you can have a great Mexican meal elsewhere for $40-$50. We left hungry but didn't want to spend more money and found a taco place on the way back to the hotel. Again the food tasted good, just way over priced. It's what I call "an Instagram restaurant". Its fun for taking pictures of the venue and the food but not to eat and get full.

Yelp
I loved it here! The reviews made it seem like it was overpriced and not great food but I was very pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything was! The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant was almost empty though and we went at 6pm on a Saturday night. The ambiance was so lovely. The hamachi was the highlight and is a must! The table side grilled salmon was my second favorite. The table side grilled rib eye was a skip, it just tasted very mediocre and my date and I agreed it was the weakest part of the meal. Overall, 10/10 experience and I thought it was worth the price. However, we did get yelled at for walking around the pool after dinner because "we weren't hotel guests". Pretty rude considering we spent $300 at the restaurant and were dressed very nicely. We should be allowed to walk around the property.

Yelp
This hotel viceroy has some of the best restaurants I've ever ate at. Delicious! We ordered the hamachi twice, the seared eel, the yellow tail sashimi, pressed pork dumplings, the table side grill with the catch of the day and ribeye and the cheese. My husband loved the food and couldn't stop talking about it.

Yelp
If you're looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion in Los Cabos, Nido is the place. Dinner at Nido is an extraordinary experience! Nido sits within a nest-like cover which is surrounded by walkways and water. We had a group of 6 people so we were able to share several different dishes. In addition to sushi I ordered the table side Japanese grill: one with salmon and one with shrimp. These personal sized grills come to the table serving up fresh fish and veggies and a side of dipping sauce. The fish was fresh and the veggies were grilled to perfection with a little char on the outside. The streamed pork belly buns were delicious and fluffy. Maya's lime soup was fresh, light and tasty. All of the drinks paired well with sushi and fish choices. The food presentation was amazing and thoughtful! We shared several desserts also. You can't go wrong with any of them but the grilled plantains hit the spot! Nido is a dinner experience you will never forget!

Yelp
Super amazing! The service is impeccable and the flavors are super creative and fresh! Wow! I love it here! I'm so glad we are staying at this hotel so I can come back tomorrow! Thank you so much for the most perfect dinner ever! & let me conclude with, I've been to Michelin Star restaurants in Europe and El Nido is a million times better! I wish I could kidnap the chef lol soooo amazing!

Yelp
A very unique experience. Ambiance and service were amazing. It just feels magical dining here. The food is pricier than most restaurants in town, but I do not consider it overpriced by any means. The food is good! I loved everything we ordered. The pork in the buns practically melted in my mouth. The oysters tasted like they were pulled out of the ocean 5 minutes ago. And each sushi dish was accompanied by its own curated sauces and flavors. I love Nido and will be back every time I visit Cabo.

Yelp
Great sushi place at The Viceroy. The atmosphere inside the nest is even cooler than it looked from outside. The servers were attentive and food came out quickly. We loved the Hamachi Tataki, Salmon Nigiri, and Yakemeshi. The "tableside grill" for the skewers was cute. The cheesecake dessert was delicious - the cake itself had an angel food texture. It came with raspberry-wasabi ice cream, which tasted alarming, but you can substitute it for vanilla. Our only regret was not trying the taro ice cream.

Yelp
This place was AMAZING!, our group had a private event and I was blown away by the food here, I believe we ordered everything on the menu, literally everything!, the food just didn't stop coming but hey, I wasn't complaining! the fish was fresh, and almost everything was grilled in the middle of the restaurant which was pretty cool to see! you gotta try it!. the resort it was located in was super nice as well, which made it a very great experience, staff was super accomodating and very attentive to all our needs!

Yelp
Pros: * Venue is really nice. They called it "The Nest". It's like a dome shaped nest. * Service is fantastic. Our server was very attentive. Since I was celebrating my anniversary with my partner, our server gave us a customized dessert with a happy anniversary message! * Okonomiyaki was unique. They put some tortilla in it. * Coconut sorbet dessert was fantastic. * We got some complimentary side dishes somehow. Cons: * Portion for each food was tiny. * Price is woah. It's like US price. I don't know whether it's the standard in Cabo. * I really liked their skewers. We got Wagyu and Salmon. Unfortunately, the wagyu is not quite like a standard wagyu that I've tasted at high-end Japanese restaurant in the US. It's not as tasty / soft. For the salmon, it's good, but the flavor is nothing special. Feels like it would be unique if somehow they flavored it differently. * The nigiris are quite cheap actually, considering you get 5 for $25 USD. BUT the rice was soooooo hard. I have no idea what's going on with them that night, but the sushi rice was not good at all. It's hard. Not even soft. It doesn't have a hint of that vinegar taste as well. Pretty sure they messed up in cooking it. The fishes were good, but they ruined the food with the hard rice. Though I don't know whether this is the intended "style" of the food. * Service charge 15% is included, but apparently it's only for the people in the back. The servers do not get any of it, so you'd have to add more. Assuming you add another 15%, that would be 30% tip. I don't get how the tipping system works in this restaurant. It's insane. Conclusion: Not likely to come back again to this restaurant. I just don't think the price point is worth what we were getting. Sushi rice was really disappointing. The only savior for this restaurant is the great service from our server, and the location because it's inside the resort. Easy to get there to get food. If I were to come back again, probably just for the omakase nigiri (5 pieces), and hopefully they don't botch the rice.

Yelp
My wife and I loved this restaurant. We visited San Jose del Cabo to celebrate a friend's birthday and Nido seemed like the perfect restaurant. We had 7:15pm reservations on a Wednesday night and arrived promptly at the check in counter at the "nest." We were a bit perturbed when the maitre'd informed us that flip flops weren't allowed in spite of seeing more than a dozen people wearing them! It still didn't detract from the overall experience. My wife ordered the "Saltado" tenderloin; I ordered the Karraage Japanese fried chicken and a side order of the A5 Wagyu steak served Robotayaki-style. Our friends also ordered the Karraage chicken and the 5-piece mixed sushi. The Karraage fried chicken was awesome!! I hadn't had that style of chicken in about 4 years which was the last time I was in Japan and Nido did not disappoint! Keep in mind that the dish did not come with sides like white rice. I had to order that separately. The A5 Wagyu was "melt in your mouth" tender and juicy. I barely used a butter knife to slice into it! It was just THAT good!!! Toward the end of the meal, the server came out with a nice mini flan cake for my friend which was a nice topper to the meal! And I can't say enough about the atmosphere, but you'll just have to experience that yourself! Surreal!

Yelp
I loved this place! Food was good and people were super friendly! The ambiance is amaking!

Yelp
Came here in April 2019 to eat before leaving to the airport. The venue is beautiful, it is almost like a dome-shaped bird's nest. The architecture is breathtaking and very clean. The food itself was expensive compared to the tacos we would get outside of Viceroy. But you are also paying for the experience and view so it is worth it. Now onto the food, they taste good but not something out of ordinary. What stood out to me is the Fish and Chips Ceviche. That one's good. The sushi are fresh but it does not fill you up by it alone, so you would want to order something else. The sushi can be customised according to which you want. I would not get the Sandwich and Fried Chicken & Waffles again just because they are so ordinary, not quite worthy to travel and get there, in my opinion. The shrimp tacos were good, it is crunchy but at the same time moist. The Chirashi don tastes like rice with Sashimi and avocado, almost like a Salad instead of a Japanese ricebowl. I also would not get the ramen even though visually and presentation-wise it's stunning (they use a teapot to pour the ramen broth out), but it tastes normal. Overall, the food is good but if you are on budget, you do want to consider which dish to get and not to get.

Yelp
This place was delicious. The ambience is spectacular. It's like you're sitting within a secret bee's nest floating on the water. Our dinner in January was at 7:30, but the personal heaters kept us warm and it was neat to have the indoor/outdoor vibe. My cousin and I split a few plates and all were scrumptious. The Kampachi bites were delicious and fresh and perfectly bite sized. The Katsu- Sando sandwich may have been my favorite dish from visiting Cabo. The wonderfully thick slice of beef was smashed between crispy golden layers of Japanese milk bread, and layered with some kind of sauce in between the meat and bread. Lastly, we shared the chicken ginger dumplings; which were soft and pillowy and accompanied by a semi- spicy sauce. The servers were attentive and friendly, the food was delicious and the ambience made for an unforgettable evening. I highly recommend making reservations here.

Yelp
If you're looking for an amazing experience, do not go to NOBU, go here!!! We went to both within the span of a week, and Nido was superior in every way between food, experience, and service.

Sonya A.

Yelp
This was the worst dining Experiance in San Jose Del Cabo. It is literally the most expensive place in all of cabo . One tiny skewer of chicken is 30 dollars. We have dined at amazing places like Acre. Flora Farms and happy to pay for outstanding food and service. Nido at the Vicroy hotel has terrible service, horrible dry food and your expected to pay rediculous prices, save your money
google avatar

Yelp
When I rate a place I give pints for , taste , atmosphere, service , cost to value , and presentation. This restaurant was a perfect score and even above on atmosphere and a couple of dishes that were just to literally die for! You have to try the bone marrow with tuna!

Yelp
To be honest, I don't even know how this place is still in business...I love the ambience is 20 stars, the menu is nothing more than some serious nibbles... Do not come here if you are hungry or if you do not like mayo or mustard... Or mushrooms... but here's the real scoop... I can't be a picky eater but I ended up dropping $100 and I ate nothing except a couple of nice glass of wine... I still don't think I'll ever come back... Sorry

Yelp
Great fusion of Mexican flavors and japanese cuisine. Very trendy location and ambience. It's right in the middle of the viceroy over looking the infinity pools. Signature drinks here are delicious

Yelp
My husband and I opted for the 10 course omakazi each. And it did not disappoint! The food mixed with amazing nest that we ate it made for a truly unforgettable night. Be warned, this was our most expensive dinner in Cabo (by nearly double everywhere else we went), and we went to Aqua, Comal, Cocina Del Mar, and Flora Farms... double each of those bills. So be prepared!

Alisa N.

Yelp
The food was sublime and the service excellent. Marciel, our attendant, was outstanding and knowledgeable!

Yelp
Fantastic food, drinks and service. This restaurant inside the Viceroy will amaze you. Head to Cielomar rooftop bar following dinner.
