Where to Stay in Paris (Updated 2025)

"I liked this small four-star boutique—everything still feels new and shiny; some rooms have outside patios with jacuzzi tubs while junior rooms remain modern and luxurious, the marble bathrooms are large and bright, beds are incredibly comfortable, and amenities include AC, Wi‑Fi, plush bathrobes, flatscreen TVs, a coffee/tea maker, and an on-site Japanese/French fusion restaurant." - Matthew Kepnes

We stayed here for two nights before heading to Brussels. This was one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had! I was previously a diamond member for several years so I have had my share of stats with Hilton. Mohammed took excellent care of us. He is the perfect person for this job. The room was very clean and we had plenty of space. The hotel is very quiet and nestled in between apartments with plenty of food/bakery items nearby. I believe the hotel’s restaurant had good food too because it was always busy! I would stay here every single time I come back to Paris! Thanks, Mohammed and team.

I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times while looking for a convenient option near the Montparnasse train station. The rooms are beautifully decorated, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast is excellent, and the bar is very nice as well.||I would easily rate it at the top if it weren’t for one recurring issue - the restaurant. It’s frequently closed — whether due to holidays, private events, or other reasons. I’ve stayed here four times, and on each visit the restaurant was unavailable. For a Hilton, especially one catering to international travelers on business or holiday, having a reliably open, highly rated restaurant for lunch or dinner is a basic expectation — particularly at rates north of €300 per night.

I recently stayed at the Niepce Paris Hotel with a friend to celebrate her birthday. The hotel is in a great location, close to the Metro and in a neighborhood with many lovely shops and restaurants. Our room was just right--a good size, with comfortable beds. Breakfast at the hotel was also excellent. But the service of the hotel staff truly went above and beyond any of my expectations. My friend became sick during our visit, and Julia and Nadeesha took incredible care of us. It could have been a stressful time, since I was trying to care for my friend in a foreign country where I did not speak the language, but Nadeesha and Julia made all the difference. They made sure we had clean linens and towels when needed. When I needed to fill prescriptions for my friend, Julia called around to find a pharmacy that was open on Armistice Day, a national holiday in France. The pharmacy was within walking distance, and had a wonderful pharmacist who could explain all of the prescriptions and their dosage instructions. I had to check out of the hotel earlier than my friend did, and Julia took the time to walk my friend to her new hotel around the corner. I am so grateful to Julia for the dedicated, compassionate, kind care she offered to me and my friend. She made what could have been a very upsetting time into a situation where my friend could feel supported as she recovered from her illness enough to be able to fly home. Merci beaucoup, Julia!

This is one of the best Hilton stays we have had. Typically my family has to use 4 free nights for a weekend, with my husband and I doing 2 separate reservations each. This usually creates confusion at check in with us making sure we can stay in the same room for the next night and having my husband and I’s rooms near each other, since we both have to sleep with one of our small children (Using a free night only allows us 2 in a room). We arrived at check in and the staff already made sure we were staying in the same room for the next separate reservation AND also next door to my husbands room reservation without us asking. Mohamad made sure we were taken care of completely and even gave us a free drink card to use at their bar. I also highly recommend this hotel for the cleanliness of the rooms, Carrefour grocery across the street, and it is also right next to the metro!

This was my second visit to Paris and my second stay at this hotel. There is something very relaxed about the neighborhood. The rooms are decent sized - not large and the staff is always very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is very nice quality. If I were to go back to Paris third time I may stay here again.

Thanks to Mohamed for helping me and my mom during our stay. We are truly grateful for his kindness, patience, and professionalism. He was always attentive and willing to help, which made our stay much more comfortable and reassuring. His support meant a lot to us, especially while traveling together. We sincerely appreciate everything he did and will always remember his warm and thoughtful service.

Google
The location of the hotel is a bit out of the way for Parisian site seeing. Every day trip involved a minimum of a 20-25 minute uber ride. There is a laundromat about 2 min walk, which is convenient for lengthy trips. The breakfast was really one of the more slender offerings I’ve ever experienced in an equally rated EU hotel and a bit pricey compared to most of the neighboring cafes. The room was tiny and required a bit of rearranging just to navigate easily with two people and our luggage. There is a nice happy hour between 1700-1900, however, the glass of Sancerre I took to my room was very clearly watered down. The one night we decided to eat at the hotel to avoid more lengthy drives or walks, it was closed for a business function. For the price I believe there are better options.

The hotel is a boutique designed in beautiful taste. Though my room was small, it was beautifully done and nicely maintained. Staff was warm, professional, and helpful. The restaurant was a wonderful surprise: beautifully prepared meals that were extremely delicious. Service was excellent and the 2 for happy hour was satisfying - they were able to make a delicious gin martini. A definitely return for me. I went there more frequently than I should for a visit to Paris! The morning buffet always had an excellent selection.

Yelp
During my recent visit to the awesome Hilton Hotel Curio Collection Niepce in Paris, I experienced exceptional hospitality at the hotel. The staff, known for their warm service, made our stay memorable, ensuring every request was promptly attended to. The complimentary breakfast, featuring fresh local produce, added a delightful touch. Engaging in local attractions, such as a tour during the day to the Eiffel Tower, & in the a evening we did the Seine River Panoramic Views Dinner Cruise taking us around the Eiffel tower was the most incredible experience we ever had, Palace of Versailles was so amazing & beautiful, Louvre Museum was incredible, we did the Pantheon that was very historic, all these tours enriched our experience in Paris, & were all plan by the Concierge Muhamed he was absolutely wonderful, helpful & super friendly & we are so happy he booked our entire schedule because we were able to skip to the front of the line. We greatly appreciate all of his effort & experience this was an cherished memory we will never forget. Ashley was there when we arrived & she was incredible in helping us get into our room after a nightmare train ride plus she was always there when we arrived from our tours & always with a smile on her face & willing to help. We gave them a little monetary tip for all the help they gave us.

Yelp
I don't get the positive reviews. I'm not sure if I got the "privilege" room (which I assumed meant deluxe or better than standard), but it is smaller than expected based on the website photos. The biggest issue is the terrible lighting. Let me be specific - in order to make coffee or see my clothes in the closet, I needed to use my flashlight! The ambient lighting in the room is that bad. Additionally, the room is getting shabby. The bedside table wobbles, the pleather on the chair is ripped, the vinyl wall paper (which is weird and ugly - the color of milky coffee) is coming un-glued and peeling And, why is the first door coming in off the street manual, and then the next one automated before getting to a set of stairs to go down to the lobby and elevator that you need to then take up to your room? Schizophrenic architecture. The breakfast buffet is lame by typical European standards. And they don't have good croissants in Paris!!! The Pernety Metro stop is literally at the end of the block. While convenient, if your room faces the street it is likely to be louder because of the Metro traffic.

Yelp
Pros: Absolutely lovely staff. It's a small boutique hotel and the scent reminds me of old grandma perfume throughout the hotel. They gave us a great upgrade to the duplex suite. Cons: there are a lot of mosquitos and little fruit flies. Our suite had a patio area and the chairs had so many spiders and webs, the staircase had so much dust buildup behind it you can see from in between each step. The last day I was feeding my baby her bottle and I wanted to prop her up so I got off the pillow and when I lifted it a cockroach crawled out. I jumped off the bed screaming and my baby threw the milk bottle and fell off the bed also from being scared.

Yelp
Comfortable, quiet, and a wonderful staff, Niepce hotel is located in 14th arrondissement near Montparnasse. It's a residential area so you're among real French living and working here and not touristy at all. As a result, you're a little farther away from the major sights but there's a metro stop a short walk away and there are plenty of bistros, restaurants, cafes in the area that you'll never want of any food of pretty much any type. The hotel has its own restaurant and serves a good breakfast buffet - probably a little expensive but very convenient way to start your day. (If you're a diamond Hilton member, it's complimentary which we fortunately are.). The room, while comfortable, is in the small side, not untypical of a big city. Bottle water is complimentary too and replenished daily.

Yelp
AMAZING HOTEL!! Where to begin!!! Uhmad the night auditor was nothing short of amazing and beyond friend and accommodating! I felt like a true diamond member at this hotel! They sent up an amenity of champagne for our birthday complimentary!! The bartender Uhm made us THE BEST DRINKS WEVE HAD IN Paris!!! Fantastic!!! I highly recommend staying here the staff makes you feel like royalty !!!

Yelp
I had never stayed at a Curio Collection before and it was interesting! The only reason for 4 stars is because there was no ice machine and the AC didn't work well in the room. I think this hotel would be awful in the summer, but in the winter, we could open the large room window and get some fresh air. The room itself is dark. For the ladies, you can't do your make up anywhere but the bathroom and even then, the lighting is challenging. Mini fridge in the room along with some juices, water, and coffee pods. The location is a short walk to the metro and has a lot of cute shops and boulangeries around it. The hotel bar was friendly and made some great drinks. I think I would try a new hotel next time in Paris, also especially if it's in the summer.

Yelp
The people won me over. We arrived too early in the morning because of our flight so we were just hoping to drop off our bags and go sightseeing until check in time. The reception clerk Celine offered to check us in and breakfast. We could not believe it because it was exactly what we needed after a long flight, subway rides, and lots of walking. It was great to have breakfast and then kick back in our room before seeing Paris. We always stayed with Hilton as Diamond H-Honor guests, and receptions are very cold and unfriendly, but this is the first time I can honestly say that I'm treated as a special guest. Celine, they need more of you in the hospitality business and I know you will be management soon. We recommend this place to anyone because of the warm, kind, and friendly staff. We'll be back.

Yelp
Our family spent seven perfect days at the Hotel Niepce enjoying Paris recently. The front desk and restaurant staff are are very hard working people and especially welcoming. The hotel is elegant and very comfortable. The people are what make this hotel. Beyond their great hospitality they speak several languages including English, accommodating customers from across the world. The only thing that I didn't love was the price, avg €500 per night per room. The reason was prime season and the football championship game that sent prices to €1000 per at all nice hotels for the weekend, yikes! I think this hotel typically runs €225 - €350 per night.

Yelp
Stayed here for the first time in December close to Christmas. We stayed for three nights. This is my first time staying in this particular area of Paris. I was concerned because it's sort of far from everything but there are two metro stops within a short walk. One other time we took the scooters and while it's slightly expensive it's sort of fun to whizz through the city at night on those little lime scooters. When we walked in the door they immediately asked us if we wanted help with the luggage. Now mind you when the door opens you have to walk down five steps to get to the desk. The elevator is very small but it's functional. This is clearly a small hotel. It's not like any I've seen in the Hilton brand before. There was artwork on the ceiling. The staff were so helpful and kind start to finish. The breakfast was not the largest I've ever seen but it was quality food. We never went hungry. The restaurant looked nice although we did not eat in it. They were kind and they provide bottles of flat or sparkling water to take to your room. The breakfast had fresh squeezed orange juice by the way what a nice touch. I will definitely be back to this hotel. FYI we stayed here using my Hilton Honors points and so we literally stayed here for free for approximately 150,000 Hilton points which was worth it. What's extra nice is that even though we use the points they didn't treat us like freeloaders they treated us just like every other diamond member and made a fuss over us.

Yelp
Check in went very smoothly, process was pleasant and efficient. Room was kinda small but you can move around. Bed was very comfortable and great bedding. Bathroom was big and stocked with quality toiletries. Breakfast was delicious with a nice variety. The breakfast service was excellent! A gentleman who really made the experience great was Leslie (I believe that was his name). Great service and customer focus. Hotel is in a great location close to a couple of metro stations. The neighborhood is pretty quiet, our room was near ground level and we didn't hear a lot of noise. Wonderful experience.

Yelp
We were happy choosing this hilton as our home base in Paris . Great rooms , staff , breakfasts and neighborhood.

Yelp
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Niepce. Arriving on a Friday evening during rush hour our ride from CDG took approx 80 minutes $55EUR flat rate. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a speedy check in - our options for 2 free drinks and breakfast each morning due to Gold status. Our single room booked on points was located off of the main row of rooms which for a moment struck me as odd but actually worked out quite nicely. We were located very close to the gym (workout room) which I inspected for use but did not use on this visit. A hotel gym is always very important to me especially during travel months when I am training for marathons. Our room was small but nice. This is a boutique hotel and I was aware of the square footage of it prior to arrival, so it was not shocking at all. We stayed at the Hilton Opera location last year which has much larger rooms but it's also a much larger hotel. If you're looking for that, look elsewhere. We were completely satisfied with our stay. I also noticed this hotel had washcloths which are always very much appreciated. I've noticed when traveling in Europe often a washcloth is hard to come by. The water pressure of the shower, although a rain shower head and handheld could definitely be stronger but not a big deal at all. I'm just very particular about my water pressure, loving a very strong one. This hotel location is literally STEPS from the Pernety Metro line, which made it an absolute breeze to get around town. We would often transfer but never needed more than 2-3 trains max, and everything was often less than a half mile walk at most to anywhere we went. Our absolute most fav part of this stay has got to be the breakfast buffet! When they asked if we wanted it during our stay I said yes, thinking "gross, a hotel brekke buffet". I thought if it's awful we will nibble and graze around Paris all day :) This buffet is SOOOOO good! The oeufs were some of the best I have ever had. Probably the best! It was also massive!!! Fresh juices, glass jar waters, yogurt, granola, fresh cheese selection, croissants, pastries galore, fresh banquettes and bread to toast, jams, honeys, and the best nutella hazelnut spread, THE BEST waffles (OMG!!! what are these things, they were soooooo good!), fresh fruit, the bacon was so so (you can skip it) but the entire breakfast was seriously the most fabulous. We had our two free drinks (red wine by the glass) and ordered a sandwich to share at the bar one evening. All very nice, with great service from the staff at all times. The hotel staff is friendly and always greet us upon entry and exiting the building. Our bed and room temp were perfectly comfortable. The noise level was tolerable, you definitely know you aren't alone in the place but nothing absurd at all. The photography detail is very nice and their vintage post cards really struck a cord with me since I'm a serious post card collector. All in all we had a wonderful visit, and I'd highly recommend staying in this more "locals" neighborhood. There are several bakeries and cafes nearby. We dined out nearby one evening and it was steps to get back after dinner. I doubt highly you'll be disappointed. The nights we stayed the room rate was in excess of 800 EUR but I don't believe that is the usual price and like I mentioned, we were booked in on points not cash/EUR. Merci! Niepce Hotel you were magnifique! and excuse myself and son for eating like typical Americans at breakfast each morning ;)

Yelp
This hotel was a great experience. Being a "curio"hotel it was very different from other Hilton's and had a unique ambience and decor that was very charming. There is no parking garage or lot so when we arrived we parked in a temporary space out front and went in to ask where we should park, and being in Paris I fully expected to have to pay for parking. The manager on duty called the bellman to help us and he brought our luggage in and then took our keys and moved cars to give us a parking spot on the street, and there was no parking fee. We had read a review that said the breakfast buffet was small, but we found it contained anything we could want and everything was very fresh. Also, the kitchen would make anything you wanted and guests were getting omelette, waffles and pancakes included with their buffet. One morning they ran out of croissants on the buffet and as soon as a new batch was baked a server brought the tray of them around to every table and handed them out fresh out of the oven (they were fantastic). The entire staff, from the manager, to the clerks and bar tenders to the kitchen and dining room staff at breakfast were so friendly and helpful that our entire stay was a complete pleasure. We would defiantly stay there again.

Yelp
The Niepce Paris Hotel is a hidden gem in Paris. An excellent property in the heart of Paris that offers elegant rooms that are small but comfortable. The rooms are very nicely decorated in modern decor with a safe, small refrigerator, large flat panel television, robes, slippers and a tablet to use in the room. The bathrooms are clean and the showers are efficient though there is not a bathtub. The staff is very friendly and professional adding to the elegant feel of the hotel. They check you in and out very quickly and are very knowledgeable. The breakfast buffet is small but the food is high quality. The eggs are fresh as is the various breads. The highlight to the hotel is the location. Tucked away in a quiet area but close enough to many services. Right outside the doors, across the street is a large and convenient supermarket. A few feet more and your on a quaint little street with shops and restaurants. The subway station is also a 2 minute walk and will whisk you away to any part of the city. Overall, a wonderful, clean hotel in a quiet little area that has easy access to services. Great service, pleasant rooms, good breakfast and terrific value!

Yelp
I unfortunately have to disagree with the other review, there are much better Hilton properties out there. While this is a very new property, and therefore is nicely decorated, it is lacking in a lot of areas. Of particular concern is... 1. My TV and my rooms iPad "control panel" did not work when I arrived, I asked to have it fixed (and they said they would), but it's still not working 9PM next day. 2. The "buffet" breakfast is quite possibly the tiniest buffet I've seen in my life. The eggs were quite excellent, but a breakfast at Hampton is significantly more impressive. 3. The rooms are "Paris" small and there are no views as far as I can tell. It's not a terrible hotel, but for €2000 for 6 nights, I really expect more. And being a diamond member I would say there are no benefits at this property. I stay in Paris at least twice a year, and there are much better (and also cheaper) options. I will likely try out the Novotel next time I'm back, based on feedback from colleagues and friends.

Yelp
First you should know this is not near the majority of tourist attractions, which was the first reason we chose this hotel for the last leg of our trip. It's walking distance still to a lot of places if you can handle 20-30 minute walks like we did. We also utilized the scooters. And taxis are cheaper than Uber's from our experience. This hotel is closer to the catacombs, which was our favorite tourist thing we did. It was very shocking and a huge learning experience. Most French peeps have not ever did it, just like we don't do Disney or any other touristy things in our area. So, I think the pictures speak for how clean and gorgeous and trendy and beautiful the hotel is. As we discovered French people are very friendly and all of the hotel staff here are extraordinarily friendly and helpful!!!! They are all the cream of the crop. Tell Alain we said hi(btw, we dubbed him the most beautiful man in France and that's huge bec French peeps are all beautiful!!!!!). The only thing I'd prepare you for is the do not disturb light is only good for when you are in the room. Don't bother putting it on if you do not want maid service bec maid service cleans every room every day no matter what unless you verbally ask the front desk to tell them not to enter your room please. They do not have an outdoor space to kick back, but there are plenty of places to do that to the left and right corners of hotel. We will stay here again bec it's amongst the locals and I love that when traveling. People watching and seeing how other cultures are and how they live is so exciting to me!!!!!! I highly recommend this hotel!!!!

Yelp
Such a lovely hotel with the best staff! Breakfast was amazing, it was pretty close to the metro station but due to the strike it was closed when we were there but still was pretty easy to get around and very safe to walk at night. Have to say again breakfast was just fantastic!

Yelp
Lovely hotel. Stunning interior. Service second to none! Every person working at the hotel was accommodating! Diane, Lilly, Maëva were a few stand out employees! I am a Hilton diamond member and stay at Hilton's weekly, but this is by far a top three experience. My husband and I will absolutely stay here when in Paris. Bravo!

Yelp
No complaints which is worthy of 4 stars. I stayed here 5 nights bc my initial choice of Hotel Le Fabe down the street, an adorable small 3 star hotel w great service, could only serve my entire group for 1 of 6 nights. The staff at Niepce is also awesome; really top notch. The room is at least as small as the less pricey Le Fabe and oddly lacks bedside tables-resting places of any kind. When I say small I mean Paris hotel small, not stupid I'm from America small. The gym is even smaller but has 3 cardio machines, free weights and a nautilus machine- if you can stand the fact that they skimped on air con for the gym. The bartender cannot make drinks to save his life and the bar chairs are bad but at least it's a hotel bar. Room service exists-4 stars for that. We had to take a 30 minute bus/metro/cab ride to anything you've ever heard of or want to do in Paris. If you just want a sleepy neighborhood restaurant, go to C'est mon Plaisir nearby or this hilton's food looked good and was good for room service. It's quiet here and ....well, I wouldn't stay in this area again but if I had to and Le Fabe was sold out or equally as expensive- I would come back. Contrary to the previous reviewer, I did not spend an exorbitant amount to stay here so that helps.

Yelp
My husband and I are currently staying at the Hotel Niepce Paris for six nights. I must say that we have experienced the highest level of service, delicious breakfast and evening meals, and the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. The level of comfort for each guest is very important to the staff who are 100% top notch. On this trip to Paris, we are here for recovery from surgery-- we could not have chosen a better place for comfort and support during this time. In other words, this hotel strives to offer the best of the best level of service for their guests. If you are interested in a smaller, more intimate hotel, this is the one for you. Thank you for this opportunity to compliment the Hotel Niepce Paris Curio Collection.
