The Niepce Paris Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton
My stay at the Niepce Paris Hotel was a refreshing change from the typical hotel experience. While it wasn’t perfect, it was still a lovely stay overall, worthy of a solid 4 or 4.5 stars.
Pros:
First, a huge thank you to Julia at the front desk. Due to a flight cancellation, I arrived in Paris a day late, but she stayed in communication with me the entire time. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted with welcome pastries and two complimentary drinks thanks to my Hilton status, a thoughtful touch.
The room was clean, fresh, and well-stocked. I chose the complimentary breakfast over points, though I didn’t have the chance to try it. However, I did enjoy lunch at the hotel restaurant twice, and both meals were delicious. Housekeeping was also consistent and my room was refreshed daily without any issues.
Cons:
If mobility is a concern, this hotel may not be the most convenient choice. There are steps at the entrance and within the lobby area. While there is an elevator, it was out of service at times during our stay. It wasn’t a major issue for us, but definitely something to be aware of.
In Room 102, the in-room phone didn’t work, and the air conditioning across our rooms wouldn’t cool below 19°C (about 66°F), which felt quite warm during a hot Paris evening.
Final Thoughts:
Despite a few inconveniences, I would absolutely return on my next trip to Paris. The service, food, and overall experience made it a memorable stay.
