"Located on Rote Island in West Timor, Indonesia, this resort offers a secluded beach experience with 21 villas and a focus on social responsibility. It includes the Rote Hospitality Academy for vocational training." - Jennifer Flowers
Massive construction right on the beach, over bearing, over the top and not what Rote Island needs. Already access to the beach & break at Boa is restricted due to the joint. This is another dismal example of why catering for the rich is no good for humanity. Don't they have enough, already? Appalling.

Indonesia law prevent beach own by anyone. People still can get access to any beach at Indonesia. You can sue this resort if they prevent you to access the beach. This is the law “Perpres no 51 2016”

Indonesian beaches are for Indonesians, not only for people with wide pockets. Remember that you're a guest in their country, it's their island. Not the other way around.

We used to be able to enjoy this beach, check the surf and walk along. Now there is security everywhere not allowing you to easily access Boa, because of Nihi resort and other big developments.
This place will ruin tourism for Boa. Sad to see such large scale development in rote. I know I won’t come back
I’m sure the locals are also not happy seeing their island get destroyed by rich developers

Blocking public access to the beach and surf spot out front. Neocolonialism at its worse

Disgusting to try and own a public beach and the wave out front. Should be ashamed of themselves

Go back to where you came from. Stop blocking the beach and denying access to other tourists

Rich owners have put up security and don’t allow tourists or locals to access the beach anymore. Such a loss, shame on you Nihi resort.
