Amazing selection. Dizzying array of options for men, women, children, athletes, casual Nike fans, and everyone in between. Shoes and apparel in every modern Nike color. Great service. Plenty of fitting rooms. Even long checkout lines get checked out quickly with several different cashiers working. They close early on Sundays--plan ahead.

Google
This Nike has so much in stock considering the high level of foot traffic. They are very well staffed and the gentleman in the kids shoes was just great with my son. There was a quick checkout as well. We will definitely return!

Hi my name is Daniela. This store is AMAZING. It is big and well organized. When you enter it gives you the inpression of openess and cleaness. The people working here are really kind. My big Thank you goes to Joe. He helped me to create an account on Nike to get a discount and he helped me in choosing something for my son. He is very good in customer care. Thanks!

Google
The shoe selection and store layout were both solid, but the customer service left a lot to be desired. When we asked for sizes in the women’s section, it felt more like we were inconveniencing the staff rather than being helped by someone eager to make a sale. Eye-rolling and audible sighs when retrieving different sizes were disappointing and unprofessional.

Google
Surprisingly meh. Sure, they had a lot of shoes and if you’re curious of a particular model, you can see it live here. But that’s true for most sports stores nowadays. What I really wished was more apparel around the local teams. There’s not even a lot of Bulls stuff, which just seems odd on Jordan’s home turf. Still, if you’re a runner looking specifically for a Nike shoe, you’ll find it here. Plus a little bit of apparel.

Google
My lady purchased a pair of air Jordan that was the wrong size the cashier there was given the shoes to see if the shoe was still in stock he then came back and told us it wasn’t.I told my lady I’m going to check the back wall like the cashier suggested he then gave us a return receipt that we didn’t want so I had to purchase the shoe with money we didn’t have he acted as if he didn’t see me say I’m going to check the back wall and my lady told him that as well. I feel like he rushed us out the way to get the next customers that were in line I understand he needed the commissions but man he could’ve went about different because if we hadn’t had the money would’ve had to wait until the money returned to my card

Excellent customer service, Harun was very helpful, helped us buy shoes, and cloth for 4 kids.

Yelp
During our journey up and down Michigan Avenue, we popped in several shops including this multi-level Nike. There are several floors of goods, but even with all the levels and goods, we were less than impressed with this location. Service was equally disappointing. Several associates standing around talking to each other, but none engaging with the customer. The store is in good condition, clean and was well kept. It's a shop on Michigan Ave, so we did not expect outlet prices , but on the flip side, since it is on Michigan we did expect a bit more. Overall, we stopped in and now can say we have.
google avatar

Natosha M.

Yelp
We randomly walked into the Nike store just to browse. It's always so clean when you walk in and everything is in its place. There are about 5 levels , you can take the stairs or the elevator. Each level has something different. We ended up going to the floor with women's shoes and they had such a great sale. Of course we had to get something. Staff were great and friendly! They were very helpful and made sure we had all we needed. One thing I really liked was the fact that we could check out on the floor we were on and we didn't have to go to the first floor and stand in line for the cashier. That is amazing, it gets you in and out. If you're ever shopping on the Mag Mile, you should consider stopping in.
google avatar

Lizzie R.

Yelp
It is a Nike Store. What more do people want or expect from this chain? Well, to be honest, as soon as we walked in, there was no sign at the front letting you know which floor to go to unless you walked towards the middle of the store near the staircase. So we went to the floor we thought we needed to go and it turned out that we needed to go 2 more floors up. We were looking for the men's section but ended up at the lab on the 4th floor. When we arrived, no one offered any assistance even after we tried to get other associates' attentions. They walked past us and then said to give them a couple of minutes while the others were just standing there. Once we got someone's attention, we asked about specific styles and shoes. They had a very limited amount of styles they offered and they had to check the website, which I could've done if I logged in. The shoes we got weren't on sale or anything and it was just very transactional rather than personal or friendly. We needed a pair of shoes that were comfy and stylish. We know in the future that there is a store in the area so we can look ahead of time.

Yelp
Great location, amazing staff and so many sneaker options to choose from. The first floor was all Jordan and my favorite. I left with the latest pair of Jordan 1's and they had my size!
google avatar

Kyle B.

Yelp
Always enjoy coming to this store. The Nike store in San Francisco is the best. This one is decent and has good shoes and clothing.

Raven M.

Yelp
A bunch of inconsiderate and useless idiots work here. Go elsewhere if you want actual customer service. They act like they don't want your business so don't give it
google avatar

Israel G.

Yelp
Nike has such a massive clothing and shoe line, I almost never buy anything from them unless it's on sale or a clearance item. This store is 4 floors and they didn't have much on sale. So that's basically where my shopping stopped. LOL. However, my wife did find some shoes on sale for $60. I also felt like this store had a ton of unused space. A few of the escalators were not working and both elevators were out of service. Considering the location of this store, I felt these things should be working all the time. I was also hoping to see a large selection of Jordans. But that was not the case. I only saw 2-3 pairs.
google avatar

Tom M.

Yelp
Nice place, but they didn't have the shoes that my daughter wanted in her size. They just told her, "Go online and order it." And that was for all the 3-4 styles that she asked about. A total waste of time. We remembered a trip long ago (probably 20 years ago) when the Nike store was a great place just to visit. Its just another shoe store now, and you might not find what you want in your size. I doubt I'll every return here.
google avatar

Kim M.

Yelp
What's really going on here All weekend closed Staff going in - but no customers Closed to the public Staff looking like they belong on a security detail for a VIP..... what's tea? I had a 15% off in store only coupon that I couldn't make use of.... Something is off here ....

Jose R.

Yelp
I waited over 30+ minutes on hold and never got through. I called multiple times on the same day and had the same result of waiting for a ridiculous amount of time and never getting through. The staff needs to do a better job at answering customer phone calls. It's not hard!
google avatar

Kathy M.

Yelp
Used to go here when. It was Niketown. Still pretty much the same thing but seems like there have been some changes like in top floor which we didn't need to go to ( the lab). Great selection and customer service!

Alex M.

Yelp
Awful customer service : asked for a specific product and was told i could look up on line myself. At first I was excited to go to the Flag ship store, and what a huge disappoitment. I will buy anothe product line.
google avatar

Yvonne Y.

Yelp
great staff who is willing to help you find a specific product your family misordered online (yeah, that's fun). clear layout and I'd be back especially if there's a sale going on
google avatar

Armando L.

Yelp
Such a mixed bag in this store. I'm giving you four stars because some of the associates I've interacted with in my several visits here have been amazing, but it's not five star worthy, because some associated have provided some of the poorest customer service I've ever experienced. I'm not sure how management evaluates the individuals working here but truly, I'd probably spend even more money in the store if I could get someone who really wanted to help me, as opposed to some one who would rather be anywhere in the world but here. I'm an avid shoe buyer. I'm not a reseller, not a flipper, just a guy who really likes sneakers. I've been to this store no less than a dozen times over the past two years, which is impressive, considering I live in Florida. Sometimes the people interact with are super cool. They are helpful. We exchange knowledge about sneakers. We talk about upcoming drops. It really is a pleasant experience; on those days I typically spend a few hundred dollars in the store. There are other days where I can barely get an associate to check to see if they have a shoe in a certain size. It doesn't make sense. How could the experience be so different at the same location. If it were only one occurrence, I'd understand but it's happened to me several times. I regret not making note of the names of the people that have been really kind and really helpful because I would love to have rep'd them here on yelp
google avatar

Gary W.

Yelp
Love this nike store.... looks like here you don't need sneaker reseller charging you triple the price for a pair of dunks because they have them here on the shelf at retail price...

Davis S.

Yelp
I've been trying to buy a Chicago Marathon finisher jacket. The store does not answer their phone. Impossible to reach and very frustrating. Nike customer service has been worthless.

Vladimir S.

Yelp
Don't trust their website and app working hours! Simply ruined my day, spent a while driving to this store to get the item the same day, app clearly stated that the store is open until 8pm on Saturday. Turns out they close at 6:45pm everyday. A very disappointing experience. Customer support blamed the whole situation on me not checking the store hours beforehand, when their website and app says the close at 8pm.
google avatar

Karamel M.

Yelp
Sam A is the best, i came in literally at closing and He went above and beyond to retrieve my online order. I then asked to see another shoe and he went to the 3rd floor to retrieve a pair and even gave me cleaning wipes. Sam A gave me the best customer service I received in a long time. 10 out of 10 for Sam A
google avatar

Tyann A.

Yelp
This store is nice and large. The staff was nice and the store is clean. I was expecting to have a little more variety of shoes though.

Daisy C.

Yelp
Disappointing, really - we walked in and were not offered to help. It was nice to see a variety of Nike clothes. Stuff was organized very intentionally and neatly.

Yelp
Came here to pick up a Nike App order. When I was exiting the building one of the black male security guard called me a punk and said my hat sucked ??? I paused outside seeing if he would bring that ignorance outside LOLOLOLOL Security.... He stayed inside with that ignorant talk ........Yelp don't like any factual details.......

Yelp
In Chicago with my kids for a long weekend a few weeks back, I wanted them to experience as many of the things I love about the city as possible. When we had a bit of down time in between Navy Pier and lunch, I decided to squeeze in a visit to Nike Chicago (aka "Nike Town" as I remembered it from many visits over the years). Needless to say, I was super underwhelmed. I had suggested to the kids that they could pick out new Nikes for the upcoming school year, but when we anxiously arrived to the level with kids shoes, we found only a few potential shoes in their sizes. I understand that inventory is low, but this was really sad for all of us... and the staff wasn't very apologetic or helpful either. We somehow found 2 pairs of kids shoes to purchase... they would not have been our first choice, but they will do. I really hope that this store gets inventory back and can create the same kind of extraordinary shopping experience I remember. Perhaps we'll try again next visit and see...
google avatar

Carin W.

Yelp
Went on 9/23 and had great service from Tamika -- appreciate her guidance on a good shoe, especially given how busy it was!
google avatar

Phil B.

Yelp
Hubby has been wanting new Nikes. We haven't been to Nike Town in years. They have a lot less shoes and a lot more clothing. Young man we talked to was very friendly. My husband wanted shoes for comfort at work. Nick or Eric we couldn't remember what his name was, recommended a specific shoe and got my husbands size. He kinda went nuts because they were so cushie and bouncy. So now he has a nice new pair of shoes for work. I think the first time I was in Nike was in 1996.
google avatar

Joshua M.

Yelp
I went in looking for a pair of Jordan shorts to bring back for my son...something simple and not too wild. I struck out. This was a strange experience for me walking through a Nike store. I can remember there being massive inventory the last time I was in this store about 20 years ago but now, it's more like a museum. There are items, but they are some of the newest and latest designs using pastel colors and bizarre styles. If you want to dish out $40 for a basic Nike shirt or maybe $70 - $100 for some lightweight, paratrooper-kind-of-shorts that look very strange...this is the store for you. There is a ton of wide open space on all floors and each table, display or wall looks as if you need to ask for permission to touch. Not a very positive window browsing experience for me. Either I'm getting old or Nike has gone wayyyyyyyyy out there with their design teams.
google avatar

Khris G.

Yelp
Not thrilled with this location. As other reviews mentioned, I expected more from a store on Michigan Ave in Chicago. Glad I found a dope pair of AF1 from Nordys a few blocks away. Women's selection was sad.
google avatar

Rahul S.

Yelp
Visited here to return a product I had bought online. Thankfully due to Nike's 60-day break-in return policy it is possible to return worn shoes.. but that said, the returning process was pleasantly simple and easy. I'm infracting 1 star because of their negligence to pick up phone calls. Prior to returning my shoes, I called Nike Chicago across several days: right at opening @11am, around 2pm and also an hour before close. They never picked up!
google avatar

Brandon J.

Yelp
Fire shoes and stock love Nike Chicago! The associates were really helpful as well & every time we've come here they've shown nothing but love!

Yelp
The house that Mike the GOAT built. A must visit on the Magnificent Mile. Try our the Air Jordan SWAG--A must when in the Windy City!
google avatar

Mariel W.

Yelp
Great business, lots of clothing choices and always has the best launches and drops. One of the only mid-west flagship stores it is definitely a must see attraction in Chicago.
google avatar

Laura M.

Yelp
Decent selection on the wall but they are out of common sizes in the cute shoes. They are severely understaffed so it's more like window shopping for what you can't buy. Even if they have your size you'll wait for a half hour for someone to get it from the back. And that's only if you're aggressive. Put on your best NYC. Guy was super nice just can't handle 6 women at once. Then wait in a long line with only one cashier. Lots of new luxury sneaker brands available at Saks and Nordys. Unless you're a Nike die hard skip this low vibe experience.
google avatar

Claire G.

Yelp
Although this store is 5 stories tall, the cashier was not friendly at all. She didn't say hi when she was ready to help nor did she say thank you after I purchased a pair of really cute women's air vapormax shoes. Based on her conversation while I was waiting to be helped, she was more interested in hearing about her colleague's recent trip. On the other hand, Ryan who brought me various designs and sizes of shoes was very patient, helpful, and a great listener. On the 3rd floor, there were other staff members who were just standing there and not offering to help. I had to flag down and ask Ryan for help. There were nice staff members on the 2nd floor. I will be completing the survey at the bottom of the receipt, so the corporate office is aware of who has been very helpful and who has not.
google avatar

Tim Y.

Yelp
This is the Nike store on the famous Magnificent Mile in downtown Chicago! I stopped by the day before my marathon to check out the swag for the Chicago Marathon. The store was CROWDED, as expected, with runners, their families, friends, and the normal customers. It was very hard to navigate but they did a good job distributing all the marathon-related gear throughout the entire first floor. The checkout process was smooth and well-organized with all the cash registers open. There was even an employee directing customers to the next available register. Even with the long lines to checkout, they did a great job moving everyone through quickly.
google avatar

George N.

Yelp
Huge store and they have everything you would need from Nike. Unfortunately, being assisted is a less than stellar experience. I was literally one of the only customers in the store, knew exactly what i wanted with item number/photo and it was jumping through hoops to break up employee conversations to ask for help and when i finally received assistance, they looked at me like i was an inconvenience for wanting to give them my money! Also, for covid, they do not enforce if a customer isn't wearing a mask and they don't clean between customers.
google avatar

Tiffany L.

Yelp
The styles here are very cute and up to date. It has good sports bra and outerwear selections. I think overall, the store should have more to offer considering how much real estate it has. Regardless, it's nice to go into a nice three story Nike sometimes and I understand the appeal and the increased foot traffic
google avatar

Angela S.

Yelp
This review is based purely on my experience purchasing a pair of shoes online and picking them up at the Nike location on Michigan avenue. Let's face it, shopping is tricky these days for everyone. But, if you're a parent with teenagers who need clothes, it's even harder. My son was in need of another pair of sneakers. He had been obsessing over this pair of Nike shoes, and there were literally only two pairs remaining in the Chicagoland area. Of course he wanted them right away, and because he's been working so hard in school, we decided to reward him and pick them up the very same day...an hour after we ordered them! Yes, we drove into the city. When we arrived at the Nike store, we walked in and were greeted right away. They had someone at the front who asked if we were shopping or there for a pick up. When we said pick up, they looked at the order number on my phone. The associate was very polite and said he'd be right back and was literally back in 5 minutes with our shoes. A few observations while we waited... The store was very empty. They limit the patrons in the store, and the dressing rooms were closed due to Covid. The associates were wearing masks (as were we), and there were plastic shields and hand sanitizer everywhere. We were so lucky to be helped by two guys who really enjoyed and appreciated having a job. Of course my hubby told one of them that he looked like a model (very handsome). Easy in and out. Would have upped to 5 stars if they figured out a way to do curbside, but I guess that might be a little tricky on Michigan avenue ;-) Oh, and my son was over the moon happy. Let's hope he keeps up his grades with many more reward to come!

Yelp
This five story Nike store had many items for individuals of all ages. It is located on Chicago's magnificent mile. Each floor specializes in specific apparel. Visiting Chicago, I wanted to check out the store. Nothing there wowed me, but they have plenty to choose from, including the Space Jam 2 Nike shoes. If you are visiting Chicago, it's not a "must do", but a "may do" if you have time.
google avatar

Lisa L.

Yelp
I had a pretty good experience here. There were a lot of employees willing to help. They had a nice selection and most things were in stock. The only reason for the 4 stars was one employee lied to us and told us there was not a size we wanted in stock but when we asked another employee the same question 5 minutes later, guess what......that size was available. She obviously didn't want to do her job but I'm not going to fault the whole store for her laziness. The other employees were working very hard and I appreciated it!
google avatar

Louis D.

Yelp
A shadow of its former self. I usually anticipate shopping here for lots of stock and coverage of the wide variety of product lines - outdoors, hoops, baseball, soccer, tennis, golf, all ages genders etc. Now? way too much empty bare space with very limited merchandise not much beyond what you can get at your local Champs or Footlocker. 4 floors of meh. Looked more like the end of a going out of business sale. On the plus side, being in town, the SNKRS app sent me a sneaker pass for some new Jordan 1's. I asked at the counter but was told to come back tomorrow on the availability day. so I did. They were closed without notice. - for several days. shut out again. Basically Nike gave up on this store and the store gave up on Chicago. Adidas does 3 times as much with 1/10 the space in their store. Hugely disappointing.
google avatar

Orest S.

Yelp
Very long lines during the weekends inside and outside. This is just another sports wear store.
google avatar

Bronislava O.

Yelp
Amazing staff. I ent in yesterday to pick up an order in store but accidentally checked as shipping. Came from suburbs all the way to downtown for it and Brian who I think is a manager, went and found me the items applied discounts and had me out of there right away. Cashiers were amazing and sweet and items of course were amazing! Lots of colors styles etc available

L. T.

Yelp
Expected so much more for Nike in Chicago. My local sporting goods store has more in store. Definitely needs a remodel, TLC, & restock of merchandise! UA made Nike look run down!
google avatar

Kishma H.

Yelp
I'm very displeased with what I received, I order shoes overnight for an event and what I received a pair of AirMax 90 toddler shoe that looks to have been returned and then shipped to me, when I called to discuss the matter and let them know that I needed the shoes for an event it's like they didn't care!! I will not be spending another dime at this business, furthermore it's the middle of a pandemic and you are sending used shoes that's just terrible
google avatar

Hong L.

Yelp
Edit: Before I get any ignorant comments about how I should have stayed home, I write about issues other than the COVID response. Plus, Illinois has had one of the lowest rate of COVID cases in the country so it has been relatively safe to walk around in public. If your takeaway is to blame an individual for not staying home vs a multi-billion dollar corporation for their lackluster COVID response, then enjoy online shopping for perpetuity. I agree with other reviews that this Nike is more a tourist trap than a place to reliably find a good selection athletic wear or equipment. There were positive things they did to reopen (wearing masks, hand sanitizers, limit capacity), but there are also many problems I found with their management. 1. They did not enforce the 6 foot distance standard. One couple behind us kept creeping closer and closer to us while queuing. All while chit chatting with an employee who was oblivious that there is a pandemic still going on. 2. They should ask customers to wear masks as they are waiting in line. Both the family in front of us and the couple behind us (both parties were white, *surprise*) felt they had no obligation to keep their masks on despite the large gathering of people. 3. It was very unclear where people should start lining up. One of the employees told me and my partner to go to the back of the line because there were people who came before us - but they were not even standing in line. On a different note, they have a terrible selection. Shoe section is small and they only carry shoes that are at least $120. Barely any accessories like gym bags, which is what I had came for. The entire first floor is a bunch of limited edition stuff that most people wouldn't wear. Save your time and sign up for a Nike account and get free shipping. Overall, the employees should be more concerned about maintaining safety as it is pretty clear that Americans, especially older white folk, display such a cavalier attitude towards it. While it is necessary to maintain an orderly line, I don't appreciate the employees showing more concern about who's first in line than enforcing face masks and the 6ft distance.
google avatar

Maria K.

Yelp
One star due to the lack of service. All the employees just hang around and talk to each other. No one cares.

Greg C.

Yelp
Are still in the process of Nike by You. Our daughter has always been a Nike fan/collector. We did custom designs for a pair of AF 1's. They told us they would be done in 30 minutes. That was 20 minutes before they went on a hour break. So rather than tell us to come back at 2:30, we wasted almost two hours waiting for them to open, start on the shoes and finish. Fix the problem and simply give people an accurate time for pick up. Our time is as valuable as yours...and I've already paid you for yours.

Jennifer T.

Yelp
If I could give a Zero stars I would! My teenage daughters were thrilled to go to the Nike store... but as soon as we walked in... Nothing but regret! They had a DJ who was literally blowing peoples eardrums out. So incredibly loud and ridiculous. The only thing the music did was make us want to leave the store. You couldn't even ask a question to the staff as they couldn't hear you. The staff looked more miserable then I felt.. more then likely because they were trapped there losing their hearing 1 minute at a time. Selection was minimal- it was giant waste of time and will never go back. Where is management in the store to turn it down.. epic Fail ! I would have gladly spent money if I could have found anything to buy but we couldn't take it ...

Yelp
Awesome, great service , sneakers where awesome, some great Jordan kit , I was totally happy with everything and the in store app worked great . 5+ stars

Yelp
It is what is and that's an overpriced tourist trap on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. But it does have high quality gear in most sports and the customer service the few times I've purchased something has been pretty good. I do recommend coming during a weekday when it's a lot less crowded and you can take your time looking around. If you are looking for sales this isn't your place to shop.
