We live in the U.S., and since my wife’s family is from Belgium, we decided to have a destination wedding in Italy. After researching about 20 venues, we chose Nikis Resort for a 3-day wedding weekend—and it ended up being the best decision we made.
1. Matteo (the coordinator):
Matteo was amazing. He was super organized, quick to respond, and genuinely kind throughout the entire planning process. He took care of everything—from coordinating with our vendors to setting up transportation for guests—and made the weekend run so smoothly. He even stepped in during small gaps in our schedule and helped out with anything unexpected.
2. The Venue:
The resort is even more stunning in person. The mountain views, sunsets, and wildflowers in the spring made it feel like something out of a movie. The rooms and bathrooms were modern and spotless while still keeping that rustic Italian charm. And the staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful.
3. The Food:
The food was incredible—fresh, beautifully presented, and just as good (if not better) than it looks online. Every meal felt like a treat. We also appreciated having the on-site restaurant open for guests who wanted to grab a bite outside of the scheduled meals.
4. Value:
We’re from New Jersey, where a one-day wedding at a decent venue can cost $40–50k. At Nikis, we were able to host 45 guests for three days with meals included—and it still came out to about half that. For the experience we had, the value was unbeatable.
