Whist we found the food to be ok. We were impressed by the service from our waitress and the manager who ensured that customer satisfaction is priority on their watch. I give this place 5 stars for the above, the ambiance and the cool talented gentleman (DJ and Sax) who entertained, and warmly interacted with us and the other patrons. Made the whole experience that more special. Coctails were outstanding. Most delightful passionfruit parfait and delicious matcha cheesecake which were served to us complimentary as my wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. Thank you. Overall, a great dining experience.

What an incredible experience at Nikkei Peruvian Japanese Restaurant in Cape Town! Right from the beginning we had a small challenge, as there was apparently a misunderstanding with our reservation. But this is exactly where true hospitality showed. Wesley, the host, handled the situation in such a professional and warm way. He still welcomed us with a rose and a glass of champagne at the bar — absolute 10/10 hosting. It immediately made the evening feel special. Shortly after, he even managed to organize a table for two for us. Truly impressive! As for the food: simply WOW. The dishes are not only outstanding in taste, but also incredibly creative and beautifully presented. The fusion of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine is executed perfectly — every plate was a highlight on its own. You can really feel the passion and concept behind each dish. Service: 10/10 Food: 10/10 Ambience: 10/10 We will definitely be back — it remains one of my absolute favorite spots in Cape Town. Thank you for such a memorable evening!

We had the best date night at Nikkei! The cocktails were superb and the food was delicious. All the courses came out at perfect timing and created and seamless night of drinks and food. Our waiter Alex was attentive and made the experience wonderful! We were recommended the perfect cocktails according to our tastes and had the dishes explained to us very well so we know exactly what to expect. Overall Nikkei was a very positive experience.

One of the best restaurants in Capetown! We had an amazing time at this beautiful restaurant. The food was delicious, really surprising combinations, and very beautifully made. Every dish was a hit. The service was the best we’ve had (thank you Dilshaad!!) — very friendly, attentive, and professional. Everything felt relaxed and well taken care of. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it. 10/10.

We visited Nikkei to celebrate my partner’s birthday, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. It turned a special occasion into an unforgettable one. We went with the 9-course option, and every single dish was a knockout. A huge thank you to our waitress, Pan, for making the night so seamless.

AMAZING experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we felt very welcomed by the staff and we were happy to be here. Kyle was absolutely WONDERFUL. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant as well as the menu. His recommendations were top tier. He did not miss! Crispy squid starter, Yellowfin tuna sushi, braised short rib, salmon teriyaki skewers & matcha cheesecake were just some of our favorites. Thank you to the Nikkei team for giving us the most awesome dining experience in Capetown! Highly recommend to those considering checking it out. 10/10

Had a brilliant dinner at Nikkei. Food is exceptional with brilliant presentation. We had Kyle as our waiter and he was fantastic! Super knowledgeable and friendly, made the evening so fun and memorable. We had mainly sushi and a few starters, each dish was expertly made and was delicious. Very much recommended to those who haven’t tried

We are vegan and had cocktails and six different vegan ( or veganized) dishes which were all absolutely delicious ( the flavors and textures were out of this world) and beautifully presented with top notch service. The DJ was great and the ambience was perfect- couldn’t have asked for more!
