When we first arrived at the hotel we didn't get a good vibe from it, this was compounded when the receptionist showed us around and we felt like an imposition, we spoke to the concierge as we had a package and wanted to find out how to redeem certain things but she seemed unsure as well|When we got to the room it was a good size but a number of things didn't work, when we went down for breakfast we were handed a menu but the atmosphere created by the staff felt gloomy, they weren't clearing plates or checking in with us|The rest of the day followed in a similar vein, making us want to cut our trip short, however when we went to get our cocktails on day 2, I raised some of this with a Valery and he immediately spoke to his manager, Kyriaki(Sunday) who came straight over to ask us to explain the problems we'd had during our visit, I explained what had happened and gave both feedback and constructive criticism, she not only listened without getting defensive but took on board what I was saying, the proof of this being that from the next day there was a massive turnaround in the quality of service, the awareness of packages offered etc...|This quick and decisive action by both Sunday and Michelle, made us change our mind about Santorini and Nikki from not wanting to go back to already planning my next trip, however if we do go back it will only be because of Kyriaki and Michelle excellent hospitality, you did so much to take our holiday from a miserable hell to a miracle holiday to remember xx||Areas to improve : one of the downsides of the hotel was that the food expensive for the quality of the food, The signature Jasmine rice satay was a totally disaster, the rice was wet enough to be close to congee, and the breakfast selection is very limited, |Should cut the housekeeping twice a day to once a day visit and get it all done during the day, some days we have people suddenly climb into the swimming pool area unexpected or turn up in the room while we are in the pool...so maybe replace the water when housekeeping is done in the early afternoon, especially with this heat, having to wait until late evening 7-8ish for water to arrive affected our privacy most days. |Charging guests of the hotel for the lounge chairs in the pool area was a terrible idea, glad to hear that this is being looked at
