😊: The guesthouse was super nice. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. Everything was clean and the location was very close to JR and Tobu station so super convenient. Sensei Eimi showed us how to fold origami and I was brought to a small onsen two days in a row by the hosts with their car - soo friendly :) It was perfect to explore the world heritage shrines and doing hikes in senjoghara and checking the three beautifull waterfalls. With the bus system everything is super accessible. I really had an amazing weekend. Thank you!. 😢: I slept in the 2 man shared room. It was super comfortable and even in the summer time mid of july still nice. In the mountain area it was much cooler than in the city so for me it was nice but if it would get very hot in nikko it might ne a small downside that only fans at the beds are available no AC. But for me it was still perfect..

The hosts are incredible! They speak good English. They were super nice. And helped us with everything we needed and asked about. Very clean and helpful. By far our favourite hostel and city in all of Japan up until now! Conveniently located right across the train (no trains at night so you don’t hear them). Even during the day you can barely hear them. It’s a small guesthouse with locals and internationals and an atmosphere conducive to meeting others. If we come back to Japan we will certainly come back here and even longer than last time. ❤️

😊: The beds were very comfortable and it wasn't too cold outside. I was there in May and the weather was just fine. The shower is pretty spacious. The only downside were the stairs, which is not something to make a fuss about. They had some teas and biscuits saved for every guest that booked in. This guesthouse is located in a perfect area. Very close to the train station and you can perfectly go by foot to all the temples - 15-20 mins of walking won't kill anyone. The staff were very nice and kind, always eager to engage in conversation 😊.

Great location and amazing staff. Staff 100% was the dealbreaker for this hostel. The owners are super friendly, and even willing to shuttle you to the nearby Onsen and back. This was our cheapest accommodation in all of Japan, and turned out great. We booked a "male in dorm room" but there were only two of us and we had a private bunk bed room anyways. They provide tea and little snacks, and are very helpful for any tourist information. Emi provided great instructions for mastering origami as well. Only downside is the wifi seemed a little spotty, and there isn't AC in all of the rooms - the fan system worked surprisingly well.

😊: Beautiful traditional Japanese home located 1min walking distance from the train and bus stations. The house was super clean with very charming and inviting interior. It’s true what everyone says, the staff are very lovely! They were super quick to respond to an issue I had with hot water and resolved it which was great.. 😢: Stairs were super steep, but honestly it was fun to experience..

We had an amazing stay here. The staff and owners were incredibly friendly and generous, even going above and beyond by driving us to our next hotel in Nikko when theirs no longer had space, giving us origami folding lessons in the evening, and offering us popsicles and iced tea on a hot days. We enjoyed all of the recommendations that they provided. This was generally a more social hostel than most I have been to in Japan. The room itself that we stayed in was a perfect “dorm” for two travellers because it only had a single bunk bed in it. The property was very clean. It was exceptionally good value. I would recommend this place to anyone who would like to feel the warmth and joy of Japanese people and welcome in the beautiful town of Nikko.

One of my favorite hostels on my trip to Japan. The hostel is located right next to the train station, so it's very convenient to get around from there. The hostel itself is basic and good and has everything you need to spend your time in Nikko. The staff was so kind and made sure the hostel had a good atmosphere that I was sorry I couldn't stay longer. From making snack bowls for everyone to taking us to the onsen, it was just so pleasant. Thank you for the great experience. I'll be back.

The staff were really kind and gave such good advice. I saved a bunch on bus tickets since they advised me to buy a bus pass. They made good conversation! I really loved that there was coffee and tea sachets and a little snack prepared every day. It's the little things that make you feel at home. I really like that there aren't too many people staying at once, so it's easy to get to know them if they hang out in the living room. I had great conversations with the other guests and I went out to breakfast with one. Everyone was really friendly! The location is also fantastic, really close to the stations, bus stops, restaurants and the supermarket is pretty close too. I liked just buying the discounted meals, salads or sandwiches at the supermarket for breakfast and lunch. They also have snacks on discount!
