Great location - so close to sights and food. Hiro is a star, all the information we needed was super helpful and so easy. He didn't even mind us forcing him to cheer for England in the rugby World Cup final! If you can book here for a few days, it's a great place to relax and a home from home. Free tea, coffee, snacks and bread for breakfast too!

Excellent location and good vibes. The Japanese style room (private, for 2) was absolutely wonderful, our favorite spot so far on this trip and priced very affordably. The other guests were quiet and friendly. Hiro is a treasure: kind, helpful, and artistic. The shared shower is actually lovely, and the outdoor luggage lockers were a lifesaver.

I have stayed at Nikkorisou a couple times now. Hiro is an absolute legend. Full of information about the local area. The accommodation is really cool. Feels like being at home. Especially playing cards having a few beers in the common area. I will stay here again!

This is in the perfect location ! Right by the entrance to the temples and the bridge as well as the maim street with many shops and restaurants. The hostel itself is very cozy and has a great communal space backing onto the beautiful river. I stayed in the female dorm and felt very comfortable although I wouldn't have been as comfortable if I had to sleep in the bed that's open to the rest of the room. The owner is very friendly and caring! Check in time is 4pm so if you have large luggage perhaps that would be annoying so email and see what your options are. Luckily for me I just brought a backpack so I didn't care. The price point is also fair especially since I went during probably their busiest weekend. I would definitely go back!

The location is great and the Japanese room is very beautiful and comfortable. The decoration of the hostel is very nice as well. The only bad thing about it was the late check in, but I understand the situation. Thank you!

Good location and Hiro is an awesome helpful host. Very clean. Cozy. Nice atmosphere. Nice decorations. Tips and recommendations all over the place. Friendly. Beds were not that comfy, hard.

Hiro is the best host you could wish for. He kept us safe during typhoon Higibis, and his level of English is excellent. We are grateful and will definitely come back. Also location is perfect, very close to natural beauties and temples.. Domo arigatou gozaimasu, Hiro San!

It is a very comfort place, feels like home. The owner is so kind and helpful. He could talk english. The river view behind this resort is also beautiful. Just several minutes from shinkyo bridge and rinnoji, and toshogu shrine. It's very recommended to stay here when you plan to visit Nikko.
