Nile Safari Lodge

We just got back from celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary at the Nile Safari Lodge. This has to be the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms are so spacious and beautiful on the Nile River. The best part is the service and the staff. They are so friendly and welcome you every time you come back from a game drive. They made our anniversary so special! I would highly recommend if you are in this area.

Stunning location and incredible hospitality! The view of the Nile was the highlight of a lifetime for our daughter. The grounds, lodge, and our rooms were all spectacular. They were all done in the local style and with extravagant finishes. We saw monkeys, baboons, and more birds than I can recall. Hippos could be heard but the staff were always conscious of their location to ensure we stayed safe. Meals were all wonderful and accommodated gluten free options.

We had the more incredible visit to the Nile Safari Lodge. From the moment you arrive every detail is carefully planned. When you arrive you’re greeted with a cold towel and fresh squeezed juice which is the perfect “hello” after a hot and dusty journey. The property is magical - overlooking the Nile - with exquisite lobby/restaurant/pool areas and bandas. We had a family banda- two units with king bed and a loft for the kids with two twin beds. The units were joined with a living room and outdoor pool area with a firepit and trampoline. The kids were in heaven! The food and cocktails were outstanding and we appreciated the gluten free options for my husband. It is located close to the safari park for convenience. Everything was so lovely and unforgettable and I hope to have the privilege to visit again someday.

Staying at Nile Safari Lodge was honestly one of the most special experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, it felt like paradise. The views over the Nile are absolutely stunning and mesmerising.||The lodge itself is beautifully designed, with a style that is both unique and completely in tune with the nature around it. My room was gorgeous, extremely spacious and super comfortable. I especially loved the bathroom. The design was so well thought-out, and the shower felt like something out of a spa. The bathtub by the window looking out over the Nile was next level relaxing.||What made the experience even more magical were the sounds and sights of the wildlife around me. Every day, I could hear a hippo grunting in the river nearby, which never stopped being amazing. And one night, a group of monkeys passed right by my room. Such a fun surprise.||The people who work here are the heart of it all. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, and I always felt like I was being genuinely cared for. A big thank you to all staff members!||The food was absolutely delicious. Every single meal was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully prepared.||There’s a peaceful magic to this lodge that’s hard to put into words. I left feeling completely amazed and deeply grateful for the chance to stay here. I truly hope to return one day.

Our stay felt like a waking dream. This lodge is a little slice of paradise, nestled among incredible birds and the most adorable little monkeys. The breathtaking view over the Nile gives way to stunning sunsets. The lodge has a charming little boat, captained by Alfred, who took us all the way to the magnificent Murchison Falls. On the way there, we spotted countless hippos, crocodiles, and an amazing variety of birds! The lodge staff were incredibly warm and attentive. They organized a wide range of activities for us — from visiting the rhino sanctuary to reaching the top of the falls — not to mention the unforgettable animals we saw during our safari in Murchison Falls National Park. This place is more than just a lodge. It’s a timeless escape, where every detail is designed to create a truly unique and intimate experience. Thank you to the whole team for this unforgettable adventure.

Its breathtaking setting along the Victoria Nile immediately captivates, offering a tranquil and immersive safari experience. Our beautifully decorated and thoughtfully appointed room along the riverside was a mix of perfectly blended luxury with an authentic safari ambiance. The staff's warmth and attentive service were outstanding, making us feel incredibly welcome throughout our stay. The culinary experience was nothing short of delightful, with every meal exceeding expectation. A fantastic bonus is the lodge's proximity to Queen Elizabeth National Park; a short, scenic boat ride takes you there, offering opportunities to spot wildlife on route. Nile Safari Lodge isn't just a place to stay; it's an essential part of the Murchison Falls adventure. Highly, highly recommended. Five stars!

My stay at this lodge was fantastic. A special, timeless moment, with incredible animals surrounding our rooms, as well as a beautiful view of the Nile from our terrace. The food we eat there is worthy of a Michelin-starred chef. Thank you to the entire team there, each one as caring and professional as the next. I will be back!

Absolutely one of the most incredible and romantic places I have ever stayed (and probably will ever stay). The lodge itself was beautiful and everything that you would want for breathtaking views. Our room had our own little pool and daybed that overlooked the Nile River. It was just unreal to sit out on the bed, watching monkeys play and hippos swimming. The food was excellent, the staff was even better! I highly recommend booking 2 private boat rides down the Nile, one in both directions. We did a morning boat ride (private pick up right there at the back of the lodge) to go down river to look for shoebills! We saw 4 shoebills which was just incredible. We also did an evening boat ride up to Murchison Falls, getting to see elephants, tons of birds and hippos along the way. Every time we returned from the boat or game drive, the staff always had cold towels and juice ready for us. We once even returned to our room to find a gorgeous bubble bath already drawn with rose peddles. They even made a cake for my birthday which was so sweet and unexpected. Murchison Falls was definitely one of the highlights of our Uganda trip and the Nile Safari Lodge will always stick out in my mind as being the most romantic. Overall it was a 5 star+++++ experience.
