Nile Street Cafe is a hidden gem located down a quiet suburban street. We sat in the indoor courtyard for lunch. We ordered their Breaky burger (swapping out the bacon for halloumi), Handmade Banana bread with Greek yoghurt and maple syrup, Fresh Pasta Ribbons with walnut pesto, cherry tomatoes, feta, baby spinach and their delicious Hash browns with rosemary which were so good we had to get another serve. You could taste the freshness of each dish. We washed it down with Detox juice and Jaffa hot chocolate. A meal that was simple and casual, yet unique and memorable.

We had a fantastic experience at Nile Street Café in Orange – a true standout on the local café scene. The menu offers a refreshing break from the usual eggs and bacon, with creative, flavour-packed options that feel both unique and comforting. There’s plenty of seating both indoors and alfresco, making it a great spot to relax no matter the weather. The coffee was expertly made, smooth and just the right strength. We both ordered the Coconut, Date & Walnut French Toast with orange, cinnamon roasted rhubarb & apple – and it was absolutely delicious. The dish felt homely and nourishing, with the stewed rhubarb adding a warm, nostalgic touch that was pure comfort food. If you’re in Orange and looking for something a little different but incredibly satisfying, Nile Street Café is well worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back!

Great food. Pricey tho. Hate that everytime I go the staff are sitting taking up a table drinking wine and discussing business loudly and swearing and bickering and it’s awkward and unprofessional maybe should be left till before or after opening hours

Pretty good food. Must have been on a Wednesday. Not great service but clean and nice atmosphere. Food was unique and quite good.

The Mexican breakfast is worth a try. Service was cordial. Noisy inside so better to go Al fresco.

Got in early food took awhile to come, when it did, one person of the group got their meal first while the rest waited about 15mins , French toast disappointing, thickness in the bread lacking, raisin not ideal. Not worth the money being 10% surcharge on weekends .

I’ve been to Nile Street Cafe before and usually sit outside, however, since the weather was a bit miserable I sat inside today. Being inside is a much different experience to the peace and quiet you get outside, the feeling is a lot more chaotic. While the waitresses were friendly, the food was yummy (as you can see in the picture) and the service was quick, there were a few downsides to my experience. I very clearly saw and overheard a man who appeared to be a manager reprimanding one of the waitresses at the front counter. While I understand issues need to be addressed, I feel there’s better ways to communicate and customers shouldn’t have to hear or see it. I also overheard other snide comments from this man which honestly cast a negative vibe over the entire experience. Another small issue was my coffee tasted a little bit burnt, however, due to the poor communication I heard, I didn’t feel comfortable raising this at the time. I’ve seen other lower rated reviews responded to in quite a dismissive manner, I hope that this review can be taken as constructive criticism and used as an opportunity to improve future customer experiences.

My son & I have been coming to Nile St for a couple of years now. For special occasions. Never had a bad experience. Yes, maybe you pay a little more but if it’s good food & service … totally worth it. We will keep coming back ❤️
