Nile Valley Hotel & Restaurant

A wonderful place to stay. The staff are genuinely warm and welcoming, always ready to help with anything you need. The restaurant serves delicious food at very reasonable prices — I was never disappointed with a single meal. They also assisted me in organizing my day trips with a reliable and trustworthy guide, which made the experience even better. And as a bonus, they even have a very cute cat that adds to the charm of the place. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting. 🐾

Great location, friendly staff, and beautiful Nile views We had a wonderful stay in Luxor. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, always happy to help and making us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The location is excellent — just one block from the docks, which makes it very easy to cross to the East Bank, either by private boat or the public ferry. It’s super convenient if you’re exploring both sides of the river. One of the highlights is the restaurant on a higher floor, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Nile while eating. The food was surprisingly good for the price, making it a great spot not just for convenience but also for quality. Overall, a great place to stay in Luxor with an unbeatable location and very good value for money. Would definitely recommend it.

What a great little family run hotel. Where does one start? The owners and all the staff are more than happy to go the extra mile for their guests. The refurbishments since I was last here are great and the place is looking good, both inside and out. The roof-top restaurant is the best place to hang out, and the view across the Nile to Luxor Temple is hard to beat. The menu is a good mix of local and international dishes and always good. From a location point of view you cannot beat the Nile Valley. It is right by the water and the ferry point, so crossing to the east bank is simple and quick. The shops are a few minutes walk away and of course it is ideally placed for all the sightseeing there is to do on the west bank. I thouroughly recommend staying here.

The restaurant has really nice quality local food as well as a few other cuisine options. The team attending are all very kind and make you feel welcome. The view is amazing, it was the best spot for both, people watching and getting a casual view of the action in the Nile. It is right above the nice new riverside area where you can watch children using the smooth fresh tiles for roller skating and playing. Really a special spot.

I echo all the positive comments. Karin and the staff are fabulous. My man Khaire/Abou Mohammed looked after me every day--always cheerful and helpful. He arranged for a solo felucca ride for me on the one day where there was a breeze!|I was lucky enough to land room 109, which is a huge comfortable room, with a generous terrace overlooking the Nile. As noted, the location can't be beat for access to the ferry-you can hop across on a whim to roam the Eastern Bank of the city.|The restaurant is excellent--I ate all my dinners save one there. varied menu with plenty of options. And I can vouch for the hamburger, when the mood strikes, Thanks for everything,

Hot water doesn’t work. No wifi in rooms as advertised. Listing said it had a hot tub which it does not. Queen size bed was two twins pushed together. And they sprayed so much air fresher that i couldnt go in the room for hours after we checked in. Absolutely do your best to avoid this place they have no clue what they are doing

They were efficient, convenient, kind, and great customer service. Right next to ferry. Karen is so lovely! Visit her little cute gift shop! With all that said, the restaurant took a very long time to serve food when there were only 4 people there. No WiFi. Beautiful view on the Nile.

We visited the restaurant of this nice hotel. 1st day, the staff was nice, and the food was good as well. The thing was that the waiter charged himself a tip of 10% without even asking. The bill was 1500 at the end. Ok, we pay, and we return the next day for dinner, tired and hungry from the day trip. We ordered food, and the food was terrible. The beef was chewy and not tasty. The fries were overburned, and I found a fried bee in them. Terrible. The waiter brought the bill, and he was so rude. He told us that today is like this because we did not tip him yesterday. He charged a tip of 150 on his own!!! And again, on the new bill was a charge of 10% for a tip and an additional 3% for a Visa payment. This was really dropping too much. The behaviour towards tourists as we paid fair over priced food. For sure, this was our last visit to this restaurant. The rude behaviour and the prices + bad food!!! No way and good luck!!! :(((
