Google
We were finally able to sample the lunch offerings at Nim; this place has been on our radar for a few years, and we’ve just been able now to check it out I must say that it was worth the wait! A really diverse menu - we opted for the Summer Rolls (think Vietnamese spring rolls), Nim Salad, and the Cubano Sandwich. Service was warm and attentive (they even brought a bowl of water for our small dog). Food was artfully plated and quite delicious. Nice selection of wines by the glass as well. Of course we couldn’t pass up the warm brownie with vanilla ice cream for dessert! Reasonable prices. Highly recommended. We shall return!

Google
I highly recommend sitting on the patio. This is our second visit in 2 weeks. We’ve had the Lamb burritos (my partner went a second time just for this), pork soupe, Mediterranean fish, lasagna (big enough for 2), caeser salad (this I would give 4 stars), beet salad, pork tenderloin (ordered twice) and Chicken with mushroom gravy. All delicious. Service is also amazing.

Google
Food was great, nice size portions and decent price, I was expecting a little bit more of the french onion sup not as thick as it was but liked the flavor though. Meat was fresh and cooked to perfection. I do recommend the place for a casual after work dinner.

Google
Nice quaint restaurant. Prices seem fair and the service was pleasant. Not a very large menu, but the food quality was very good! If you’re in the area, it’s worth a stop.

Google
Nice space with local artists’ work on the walls, delicious, creative entrees and otherworldly cocktails. Salads are fresh and dinner-sized, shareable. Very reasonable prices considering the quality and service; Karen was a fantastic server.

Google
Absolutely fresh and delicious. I met a friend for lunch and loved the food so much, I returned with my husband for dinner. And we dug into the food so fast, I completely forgot to take pictures. 😜

Google
Best food we had in La Paz!! Special shout out to Karen our server who was FANTASTIC!!!! Definitely check out this restaurant if you are in La Paz ! Best crème brûlée I’ve EVER had .

Google
One of my favorite restaurants in La Paz. Everything here is consistently great! I like the vibe on the patio, and know during summer to take advantage of the indoor space with A/C! Picture are the Nido salad and a special-of-the-day tuna carpaccio. Not shown, the delicious mango mezcalitas. Recommended! Edit April 2025: still great!

Yelp
The food was amazing, we shared taco choyero was so good, we had to order another. This is a special place, staff is attentive. Evening ambiance on the inner patio was lovely.

Yelp
Low key but very impressive restaurant; you might get scared when you first see the menu. They have dishes from various cuisines, which is weird, but they delivered everything! We ordered many appetizers and a couple of mains to share and had a blast! Their oriental fish was exceptional, flaky, and perfectly cooked! The hummus is a must, and the tiradito was WOW! Honestly, go and order everything to share; it's perfect that way! They also have some excellent desserts that are perfect for satisfying that sweet tooth! We went on a Sunday and the service was a little slow, but the restaurant wasn't busy, it was still a great experience!

Yelp
Service was perfect. The Nim salad is delightful, the Tabule and Beet salads are very good. The chicken fussili and shrimp curry entrees are simply terrific. The flan makes for a perfect ending. One of our favorite La Paz restaurants. Highly recommend.

Yelp
When in La Paz. This is a must! Abraham and company have delighted us with a fantastic, fresh, beautiful and delicious meal. Riquísimo!!

Yelp
we decided to try Nim after seeing all the good reviews online and it was one of the few restaurants that lived up to the hype. For drinks we got the tamarind and maracaya Mezcalitas which well both good followed by a michelada which was also good. For the food we got the shrimp ceviche which was so delicious that we ended up getting a 2nd order, 10/10. We also got the scallop aguachile which wasn't as good but still ok, 7/10. The tuna tartare was better though, 9/10. The bone marrow was served with tortillas instead of toast. It was good but was missing something, salt maybe, 7/10. For dessert we the brownie with ice cream which was as expected, 8/10. The flan was a tiny portion but delicious, 9/10. The baklava was the star of the desserts. It was three pieces and also came with a scoop of ice cream, 10/10. Service was good and the atmosphere was fine for this dinner.

Yelp
Pricing was not too bad, good variety of choices, and very friendly and professional service. We had a great experience with our family at this restaurant.

Yelp
Nim is excellent!! Service is very professional, attentive but not overbearing. The food is absolutely delicious, each dish perfectly presented. The mushroom strudel is unique, the salads are superb and the entrees impeccable. Highly recommend Nim.

Yelp
Very enjoyable meal for European diners. Very relaxed atmosphere, i.e. paper napkins and plastic chairs, but very fine quality food. Excellent fish and fresh vegetables and the North African lamb tagine was excellent, though not as much spice as expected. The Mexican Brut rosé was properly chilled and opened, so very enjoyable. Service was efficient and we appreciated that we were able to communicate in mostly English. With an incoming tropical storm, we were happy to be able to get out for our most enjoyable meal in La Paz. Merci! Gracias! Thank you!

Frank M.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. The oriental fish and strip steak are very good. The garden ambiance is comfortable and inviting.

Yelp
Visiting here from Washington and stopped in for dinner. The chicken enchiladas were so good. We had both the red and green sauce. I grew up in LA where Mexican food is a staple and these were on par with the best I've ever had! Dinner was so good that we decided to go back for breakfast. We've been here for almost three weeks and this was hands down the best breakfast we've had. The eggs Benedict are served on a homemade biscuit that will melt in your mouth. The Hollandaise sauce was so good and clearly homemade from scratch! The service is fast and friendly! Give NIM a try you will be so glad you did!!

Yelp
Excellent service! Amazing food! The shrimp mixture with Chorizo was amazing! The beat superb. The mushroom strudel fantastic! A super good option for diner

Yelp
We had so much going against us... our Spanish sucks ...we're trying to stick to keto. But NIM really saved the day for us, with no modifications. We came back a few times before the end of our trip. They were welcoming and accommodating for both our dietary and language barrier needs. We got both the New Orleans Oysters and the Rockefeller. Both have this last little bit of broth in them that is just spectacular. I'm already missing these at home! The Mediterranean Ceviche is excellent. A dramatically different take, they offered it to us with the yellowtail. And each meal we got the avocado and brie salad with shrimp, because it was JUST PERFECT! And you cannot miss the bathroom area. It's gorgeous. The tiles throughout are beautiful, but the sinks and hallway are very creative. We miss the restaurant, food, and the staff. Thank you all!

Yelp
Our first stop in La Paz was at Nim. The service, food and ambiance was perfect. We arrived at 11:15 AM, and although lunch hour started at 1:00 PM, they welcomed us. Two of us shared 3 appetizers (lamb burritos, mushroom strudel and tabule.) All were exceptional. The beer selection was great, too (Baja Brewing Co.) We wish we had a restaurant like this in our town!
google avatar

Yelp
The food here is delicious! Especially the oysters and the taco choyero ! The mezcaldita is amazing! Five stars

Yelp
Horrible Horrible.. stay away. Have been coming to this area for 40 years and never had such a horrible experience at a restaurant. We went to Nim on 11/29/2024. We ordered oriental fish and the pork tenderloin. We were asked to order the pork Medium which I agreed. Both dishes came out to us RAW. We called the waitress back over and put our plates on the end of the table. The waitress did not come over the owner did and we said both plates are RAW would you please cook it longer. We put the plates at the end of our table. The owner responded to my husband... You don't have to be rude about it. Don't understand what was so rude about sending our food back to he cooked longer but she was Pissed about it. We decided to leave the restaurant and pay for the two drinks and two salads we ordered. The owner kept mouthing off and swearing at us as we were paying the bill and one of her employees kept trying to tell the owner to calm down because she was very loud, obnoxious and swearing at us and never to come back to her restaurant. She was taking our picture like we did something wrong. I WILL never eat RAW Pork and recommend NEVER eating there. She took the plates away so fast I couldn't get a picture of the RAW PORK and RAW oriental fish which your couldn't even cut thru it with a fork or knife. I did get a video of here outside swearing at us as we were leaving and her employee trying to shut her up. Stay away from Nim in La Paz. When any employee in a restaurant makes a mistake the owner should side with the customer to make things right. This owner needs a lesson in restaurant etiquette. Find another restaurant. Many great ones to choose from.

Yelp
Five of us went here on a Saturday night. The ambiance is very much like an art gallery. It appeared as though the art on display was for sale by local artists. The space is big, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The service was spot on, and the waiter knew it because he had no problem asking for his tip in cash at the end of the service. As far as the food, I can speak for: - Beet salad - Lamb tajine with cous cous - Pork tenderloin - Carrot cake Surprisingly, my least favorite was the lamb. It was super tender, but it lacked flavor, which it shouldn't have considering how long it must have taken to cook. Everything else was delicious, and the wine list is quite expansive.

Yelp
The sweetest staff and best food I had while traveling here. I wanted to hangout with the staff because my tummy and sense of community were at a 10/10! Coming back every time. Drinks are off the chain too!
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant came highly recommended by the local expat community and more than lived up to the reputation. Gorgeous inside, library/wine closet and patio areas. Patio has a cover to shade during the heat of the day and slides back for a view of the starry sky at night. We ordered several items for the table to share with everything delicious. Staff proved knowledgable about gluten free as required by one in our party. Attentive to details. Perfect for a nicer night out near the beach.

Chris G.

Yelp
The food was great! I had a pork dish and all the veggies were good too! Staff was super friendly. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Service is amazing? Food is fresh and beyond compare. When in a new destination, one must try this special place. We go every time we're in LaPaz.

Yelp
Very eclectic menu, lots of fish, standard Mexican fare, but also Pho and Lamb Tagine. Extensive wine list. We enjoyed everything, and the service was fantastic -- informative, attentive, but not intrusive.

Yelp
Wonderful!! The food here is so lovely and fresh. We had the orchard salad with chicken (cooked perfectly with a crispy outside and tender interior) and it really hit the spot. The ceviche is also very nice, we loved the addition of the corn nuts for some nice texture/flavor. The guacamole is so fresh and has very strong (and wonderful) flavors of lime in it. The staff is incredibly friendly and we would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting La Paz. It was one of the better meals we had while visiting. :) The inside of the restaurant is also super cute and there's air conditioning which you can't beat when it's 90 degrees outside with 70% humidity.

Yelp
Came here after trying in vain to find some decent food around town. Asked if they could make some food specifically for my son who was on the verge of hangry. They came through! I ordered the catch of the day- halibut. It was good and satisfied my need to eat. French fries were hot and quesadillas hit the spot. Ordered out so can't speak to the dine in experience. The woman at the bar that helped us was helpful and I appreciate her accommodating us.

Yelp
Nice place. Nice people but my food wasn't great. My tenderloin was hard seared and I could barely cut it. Then one side was too rare and the other was too done. The carrots were half mushy and half not done. It all needed seasoned also. It just wasnt great but my daughter loved the Pho she ordered.

Mario M.

Yelp
Tortilla soup was smooth and flavorful with excellent cheese and avocado. The lamb burrito was prepared with delicious shredded meat that tasted like birria. It's the best lamb burrito I've ever had. The green juice was made with fresh ingredients (pineapple, spinach, celery, apples) and was very refreshing. We ate so much we couldn't eat dessert but I'll go back for the flambed bananas soon.

Yelp
Friendly service, delicious food, who could ask for more! But I did...and they exceeded my expectations!
google avatar

Erin H.

Yelp
Great food! Lovely murals on the walls but also a private outdoor courtyard. My server was very nice. They had English on their menu. The mushroom strudel was really good and this steak with blue cheese.
google avatar

LeAnn M.

Yelp
Definitely a place you just have to go try it. You can't go wrong no matter what you decide to order. Chef Christina's culinary skills are magnificent!

Yelp
If there were six stars, I would have given it six. Amazing, fresh cocktails, lovely appetizers and great service. We had several drinks and appetizers but if those are any indication, this place knows what they are doing. Not cheap prices, but you get what you pay for. Hubs and I had the mezcal Jamaica martini, mojito, and the jalapeño and strawberry margarita. All of them were really outstanding. The top award goes to the jalapeño margarita for having a really fresh jalapeño flavor and not too much heat. We also had the octopus tostada and the spring rolls, both excellent with really fresh flavors. I took a picture after we ate a few spring rolls so what you see is only half the order. They were delicious! Very friendly staff and super attentive.

Yelp
OMGOODNESS....we've eaten here twice in the past week. I ordered the steak (what else, right)! The NY strip was the special and not on the menu. I'm a Texas girl and I KNOW a great steak...this steak was seasoned perfect, cooked with a fabulous crust and cooked to order (medium rare). The flavor was fantastic and the seasoning and crust was outstanding. The second time I ordered the grouper fish special and it was light and flavorful. Some far, this is my favorite restaurant in La Paz and we can definitely be back. The al fresco dining is romantic and the waiters are attentive and speak english for us gringos who are still working on their Spanish. **Update June 6, 2018 - We ate here again and the food was excellent. HOWEVER, this time the outdoor courtyard was reserved by a private party and we had to dine inside. Thehe atmosphere is not as lovely or romantic as the outdoor dining.

Yelp
It's not getting one start only because the interior is nice Service: terrible, we were waiting for 20 min to be seated and make an order, 10 min for a check. And we were there after the dinner rush. 3 empty tables around had dirty dishes and no one cleaned after the guests... Menu: with the attempt to be play modern fusion Food: mediocre. I had s chicken mole that was overcooked and a seafood carpaccio with olives, capers and onions ...topping that destroyed a delicate taste of scallops and shrimps. Lemonade was bitter. Atmosphere: in the middle of our dinner in the kitchen something got burned and smoke was everywhere Cleanness: restrooms=disgust Overall: I can see why people like this place, it's social and has art on the walls, but because it's so bad in terms of service and food, I would go there only for the drinks, after a dinner in another place.
google avatar

Carol L.

Yelp
Ambiance is really lacking! Food mediocre! Staff attentive but not necessarily great!

Arleen H.

Yelp
I love their Ruben sandwich, the meat is so tasty and tender. But my favorite is the Moroccan Lamb Tangine with Couscous! The service is good, alwYs friendly servers.
google avatar

Nathan R.

Yelp
We walked into this restaurant without planning to, for a light meal. It was outstanding! The service was excellent and there was plenty of room for us to sit comfortably. All the nice things you read about the lovely ambience in other reviews are true. I ordered grasshopper tacos, which are not for everyone but I found them delicious and there were many of them on my taco! My friend had a lovely grilled fish and tasty dessert. I will go back here next time I go to La Paz!
google avatar

Kristen K.

Yelp
Our waiter made this place so special. Jovani was so funny, upbeat, and truly passionate about his work. Plus everything he recommended was incredible! Highly recommend the salad with avocado and Brie! One of my all time favorite salads!

Cristina S.

Yelp
Bonito lugar y buena comida PERO CUIDADO. Si te ofrecen un plato que no esta en el menu preguntad el precio primero. Nos hicieron pagar $1200 por 300gr de Filete. $350 es lo máximo en otros lugares. Me sentí estafada por ir con mi pareja que es de america. Really nice spot and good food, BUT CAREFUL if they offer you a special dish that is not in the menu. They made us pay $1200 for a 250gr Rib Eye. We were scam.

Wayne O.

Yelp
Top flight food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend, as good as it gets. You won't be disappointed here.
google avatar

Stuart M.

Yelp
This could well be the best restaurant in the city. Real passion in the kitchen, detail oriented service, and a relaxed atmosphere in the dining room. Prices are fair, and it's all about the food. Standouts included the beet salad with feta and puffed quinoa, the octopus appetizer with Spanish chorizo, oysters (both ways), the pork tenderloin, the grilled shrimp, and the heavenly baklava that I was still eating on the plane ride home.
google avatar

Yelp
Everything about NIM screams unique love the music, it wasn't too loud, the staff was superb and the food was outstanding the portions as well. I had the bone marrow dish as well as one of the specials for the day which was tempura crab with a mushroom risotto topped with arugula and really clean restrooms!
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Many thanks to Hector who took care of us on both our visits to Nim. Excellent service - very attentive and helpful - thank you! The food here is absolutely fantastic and the chef is extremely innovative, especially with veggie/vegan options. The salads are amazing and the local cheese special this week was fantastic (I could have eaten a second one for dessert!!!) ;-) Nim is definitely a recommend and we would return next time we are in La Paz.
google avatar

Nancy O.

Yelp
My friends and I ate dinner there tonight. The outdoor courtyard seating was very comfortable on this beautiful evening. I had the beet salad with chicken. The salad was fresh and light and delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly; moist and seasoned well. My friends had the NIM salad, the beef tenderloin, and the lamb. All dishes were sensational, seasoned well and full of flavor! We even got dessert...the brownie, the cookie, and the flan. Nothing disappointed! The servers were all very attentive and the service was excellent. Looking forward to returning and recommending to others.

Yelp
Amazing dinner in La Paz! Probably the best we've had in Baja! I had the Beet Salad and Mushroom Strudel and my husband had the Summer Rolls and the Vietnamese Pho all of which was outstanding! Service was terrific and prices were very reasonable. Definitely highly recommend!
google avatar

Clint T.

Yelp
I don't do too many posts but this place is great. Chowder is excellent, the mushroom strudel is so good. Guacamole is a good portion. You can see the pride in the employees. Very nice clean restrooms.
google avatar

Armand D.

Yelp
I would describe this place as comfortable art gallery. Really tasty food friendly service with an Innovative menu.

Giuditta B.

Yelp
What a lovely place, nice ambiance and good food. Good variety of salads and appetizers, the pulpo tostada is great as the scallops carpaccio We were surprised by a trio playing live music and great service. Waiters were super nice.

Allison L.

Yelp
When we arrived we were offered a table to seat 3 in the small area compared to the open area and we were told this was the only area a available to us. Then when the table next to us wanted to move they were moved to the open area that wasn't available to us. We ordered one appetizer and 3 main courses. The appetizer and 2 of the main courses arrived at once. All of the waitstaff shrunk away until finally after 5 minutes one came over and told us they had made a mistake and thought the shrimp entrees should be served with the hummus appetizer. We were finished with the 2 entrees before the the 3rd was brought out. The food was very good but the service ruined the dining experience.

J. M.

Yelp
Went here under recommendation of friends. It was an anniversary dinner. What a disappointment. Service was horrible and it was not even close to having a crowd. Only one other seated table. The drinks were short pours. None of our dishes had any flavor and did I mention the service was horrible. I had the lamb which was tender, looked great but had no flavor at all. Just boring and you could not tell what kind of meat it was. My wife had fish and it was also beautiful in presentation but lacked any discernible flavor. Art is nice, rooms are nice, bar looks nice , food not worth it at any price.
google avatar

Kim P.

Yelp
We had a big group here for lunch after swimming with whale sharks in the bay! They sat us out back at the huge open patio space and it was absolutely perfect! The sun shown in but wasn't too sunny under the shade. The drinks were excellent and the food was so delicious! They used ice from bottled water for us too haha. The hours were a little strange from what I rememeber. I think we waited for them to open for lunch for quite some time.
google avatar

Yelp
We're pleasantly surprised to find this place via yelp. The food and service were as described by other reviewers. Particularly loved the mushroom strudel. My husband ordered the pork loin and he was pleased with it, my lamb tagine not so much. But the severs were very nice and accommodating. Glad to find this place on our first visit to la Paz.
