Nimbin Bush Theatre & Cafe

Nimbin Bush Theatre was something diffrent! I was there with my new friend and we thought that cafe still exists - it turned out that we came into someone’s garden:) And then we met David and his wife. I will never forget this experience, cinema room was breathtaking. (photo with david can be deleted due to privacy, just let me know) peace and love bernie.

It's a quirky little place with beautiful natural surroundings and lots to look at. The lady who was there when we visited was very lovely and welcoming. We had the best mocktails as well. Amazing coffee and cakes.

The old saying about not exploring your own backyard is no truer than for this place. We've lived 8 kms from this cafe for 40years and never visited. More fool us. What a lovely place. Quirky, certainly, on the banks of the creek, situated in a huge old factory, so much worth visiting, if only for the great coffee and superb food. Ground Control coffee is always great, and so it is here. The food is simple but done exceptionally well. Quality ingredients are treated with respect and prepared with care, attention to detail, and by a chef who loves what they do. The two ladies behind the counter were extremely friendly and efficient, and treated their customers with respect and grace. The smoked salmon and boiled egg baguette sounded unusual enough for me to satisfy my inquisitive tastebuds, and I wasn't disappointed. It was delicious. The roast pumpkin and haloumi focacia was also tasty and filling and the little addition of salad was also super delicious. The side of chips was welcome with thick cut, possibly even fresh,skin on potatoes seasoned perfectly. They had been overlooked from the order, but once notified, they arrived post haste. The dirty chai was exceptional, and the pot of chai on soy also good. Such a pleasant place to relax on a Sunday for lunch.

The art of salad 🥗 what an amazing relaxing riverside dining experience! I recommend this place for anyone who loves raw or vegan cuisine 😊 best salad I’ve had in such a long time.

We were visiting the candle factory that was situated on the same lot and once we saw the sign for the cafe we decided to venture in and look around. We felt like something sweet so after looking in the display cabinet and seeking assistance with flavours we ordered two slices of cake with ice cream on the side, a pot of tea and a smoothie. Our selections were delicious; the staff were lovely and the cafe and surroundings provided such a feeling of comfort and calm. We will definitely return.

This is a gorgeous place, with a truly magical and very typically Nimbin garden. The cafe wasn't open that much last time I was there, and there aren't as many events as the space deserves, but even just being there is special, and if you've got a chance to attend an event there, you'll likely feel something special.
