Ningaloo Coral Bay - Bayview

We stayed in a two bedroom villa for 2 nights. The location is great and the service is superb. As we stayed in the ground floor, the noice from the upstair guests walking on the wooden floors was little disturbing. Being a small town everything is within a walking distance. The price is on the higher side but understandable due to the remote location. Coral viewing, Manta Ray and snorkeling tours can be booked at the reception or online which are reasonably priced.

Would not recommend at all! This campsite has what they describe as a “small mouse problem,” which is completely misleading. There are small, easy-to-miss signs, but no clear warning at booking or check-in. Despite following all recommended precautions (and extra advice found online), we were woken in the night by multiple mice running through our campervan. The site was overrun — mice were everywhere on the ground and throughout the campsite, with everyone we spoke to dealing with multiple mice, not just the odd one. It was impossible to sit or stand outside, and we felt unsafe sleeping in our van. We were forced to spend the rest of the night in the communal bathrooms until sunrise. Unfortunately, these were filthy. Our first visit involved an overflowing toilet covering the floor with no warning or cordon. The kitchen was also unhygienic and not fit to cook in. We called the out-of-hours number for help and were spoken to in an extremely patronising and dismissive way, being called “darling,” “love,” and “sweetheart,” and told comments like “well look where you are.” Completely inappropriate. Other campsites on our two-week WA road trip did not have this issue. This is clearly a management and hygiene problem, not an unavoidable part of camping. In the morning, after cleaning droppings from our belongings, we went to reception after being told traps would be available, only to be informed these are for villa guests only, not campsite guests — despite campers being most affected. While the receptionist was polite, it felt like the issue is being actively downplayed. We spoke to multiple neighbouring campers, all of whom had the same problem, many far worse. Food was ruined, droppings were found on clothes and bedding, and people were shocked the site was even open in this condition. This campsite is unhygienic, poorly managed, and severely lacking in customer service. At the very least, guests should be clearly warned before arrival — though most would likely cancel. If you want to be overrun with mice, have your belongings ruined, and be treated as nothing more than dollar signs rather than actual guests — book here.

After reading the reviews, I wasn't expecting much, especially after just leaving the beauty Monkey Mia RAC resort. However, after three nights, this has been our favourite place after travelling all the way down to Freo from Port Hedland over a three week period. Beautiful grassy sites for the van, ablutions are more than adequate, great kids spaces, lovely pool, fantastic Reef Cafe with seriously good food and cocktails-open til late with a great vibe, and an impeccable location! The beaches here are insane. Also, only one dead mouse and staff were lovely. We are in a remote spot here, so if you can't deal with some hot salty boar water and regular (not five stars) facilities, then stay in the city✌🏼

Worst campsite experience. We stayed here for just one night, and that was more than enough. The camp kitchen is absolutely disgusting. Everything is covered in mouse droppings, and the fridge looks and smells like something has died inside. Yes, they mention that they have a “mouse problem,” but this is not just that — it’s a serious hygiene problem. The very least they could do is clean up the mouse droppings. While having breakfast, we even witnessed their so-called “cleaning process.” A man used a single cleaning cloth that looked like it hadn’t been replaced since World War II. He wiped every surface with it — including the toaster — and was finished in about three minutes. That’s not cleaning at all. To make things worse, there is an old bird’s nest in the bathroom. Completely unacceptable. We would never stay here again. Also quite expensive for what you get.

⭐ 2/5 – Beautiful view, but for the price we expected far more We stayed at the White House in Coral Bay’s Bayview Resort with a group of seven. The view was truly beautiful and the house itself is spacious, but unfortunately that’s where the positives ended. The shower leaked and flooded the bathroom every time it was used. Windows and doors rattled constantly, and the floorboards didn’t fit properly, leaving noticeable gaps. The kitchen was poorly equipped — no oven mitts, only one sharp knife, and rubbish bags that didn’t even fit the bin. There was no WiFi, the pillows were flat, the mattresses uncomfortable, and we even heard something living in the walls at night. For the price we paid, we expected much more care, maintenance, and basic comfort. The location is great, but the property needs serious attention before we’d consider staying again.

Lovely place to visit. Lots of happy campers. I had a powered campsite with water and it was really good. I only gave it 4 stars for the excellent site because it was tricky getting in as the sites are not very deep and cars are parked on the edge of the access roads. Otherwise once you are in it is VERY good. The toilets and showers are great and there is drinking water near the showers and the restaurant. The site water is good for washing but as it is bore water it varies greatly in quality. Always looks clear with varying temperatures. That’s why the owners go to great lengths to supply filtered drinking water which is excellent. Showers use bore water and I must say they were extremely good. Not any complaints there. The whole campground is super clean and tidy. The surrounding areas outside the campground have a holiday feel. Small shops and cafes are supported by a shopping centre with a nice pub and supermarket plus tour booking shops and medical services. Fuel is available and if you have a boat there is a very good boat ramp a few minutes drive away. The bay and beach are also top rated (by me). I will return!

Would not recommend this campsite. It was quite expensive and not hygienic. The bathrooms had birds nests in them and the kitchen was full of flies and no door to keep them out. The grass was too long where we had to park and the sprinklers were in our way when we arrived. We asked the staff what to do and they were clueless. We had to get wet and move the sprinkler ourselves to be able to park. The showers also use salt water so we couldn’t even have a clean shower. Because of this we also couldn’t wash any good clothes in the washing machines assuming they also use salt water.

Booked 2 Nigaloo villas via reputable travel agent. Marketed as 'ideal for honeymooners'. Not sure when the blurb was written, but not my idea of 'honeymoon' standard accommodation. Bathroom sink drain smelt badly and everything looked old and tired. As we had booked 3 nights here, decided to pay the excess and upgrade (at a high premium). Swapped to a brand new top floor 3 bedroom apartment which was a vast improvement. However, considering this slept 8, there was only 1 bathroom and no washing machine, yet it had a full size American style fridge freezer. The showers wasn't great, but did the job. It didn't bother us, but the area & hence our accommodation was susceptible to mice. We were provided with a humane trap that worked.
