The RAC is currently developing a new resort in Coral Bay and has unilaterally blocked public access to one of the few remaining beaches in the area. This is deeply disappointing, especially given that there are no alternative dog-friendly beaches nearby. For travellers with dogs, Coral Bay is no longer a suitable destination. Public spaces should remain accessible to everyone—this kind of exclusionary approach sets a troubling precedent.

This was an absolute gem of a place for our second trip to Australia. We stayed here during our Western Australia trip, flying in from Perth to Exmouth. The staff here were really welcoming and nice, also helpful, warning us about the bore hole water that is salt water (good to know when you're showering). The villa we stayed in was perfect for us and spacious too with a nice outdoor veranda for the evenings.|There are several bars/restaurants here with delicious fresh food that are reasonably priced too.|The beach is just yards away and the reef is so close to the beach it's amazing.

Unfortunately there is very limited accommodation in Coral Bay unless you are staying on a camp site. Development in the area is thankfully restricted but this is the downside. ||The setting of the resort is lovely and it's a great place for families. Our stay there coincided with a holiday weekend so the resort was full of people with young children. We were just a bit unfortunate to be next to a family with four very young children for the duration of our stay. ||The outside of the accommodation on the ground floor has little privacy so it isn't a relaxing place to sit if there are children running up and down. However, there is plenty of space to sit out on the grass which is actually a much nicer spot. The view of the bay is lovely and it's a good place to watch the wonderful sunsets. (It's also well worth going up to the viewing point on the sand dune for the sunset.)||The rooms on the upper floor have enclosed private balconies - one of these would probably be a better choice for a couple. Alternatively, if you wish for a bit more privacy on the ground floor, maybe you could ask for a room on the end of a block.||The accommodation itself was fine - quite spacious with a big fridge freezer and decent cooking facilities. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom also a good size.||The bar was relaxed and friendly, as you'd expect. Beware of the "Happy Hour" prices - it's not too clear what's included so it's worth checking.||Just for information - the very helpful lady in the tourist office (restricted hours) told us that snorkelling in the bay wasn't good due to dead coral but she recommended some good sites not too far away. You do need to deflate your tyres and you can do this at the Ampol petrol station. The pressure gauge wasn't working when we were there but we were able to buy one in a store.||We'd also recommend the walk up to skeleton beach. A wonderful opportunity to watch the rays at low tide!

Location: 2 full days are enough. The area is easy accessible and there are some restaurants and tours. The hotel is at the end of the village and we had an amazing view. Room: nice view, clean maintenance and a comfortable bed. Bathroom: spacious and nice. Service: friendly

Great location well worth paying the extra money for a room with an ocean view. -On arrival staff member was friendly and welcoming. -Accomodation itself was pretty dated but clean and obviously cared for. - Bar and restaurant at the resort we’re great. - Beach right across the road was great for snorkelling as there was plenty of coral and marine life as soon as you get in the water. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

The room itself was ok but the hotel rooms are sandwiched between two enormous caravan parks, so be warned! The rooms have brackish salt water showers and only one drinking water tap by the kitchenette sink. Laundry facilities are charged and communal, offering a salt water wash (unbelievable!) as well as fresh water. Also a first for us was a written warning about mice in the room and mouse traps placed in the outdoor corridors! Hot water is dangerously hot so be very careful when showering. There are three low standard places to eat scattered around the whole site but nothing like a decent restaurant or professional service. We would not return.

staff are very rude and have no respect for anyone, 40 degree day and they won’t let non guests in even tho all the other pools are closed. how selfish can you be? i’d give this place a zero if i could

Yelp
I stayed here with family for a few days during a snorkeling trip to coral bay. 'Resort' is a bit generous of a word to describe this place, but we really did have an enjoyable stay. The kitchenette was adequate enough for us to prepare meals for our group of 5 every night, the beds were comfortable and the view from our second floor balcony was absolutely beautiful! The beach was just a few minutes walk from the resort and the main shopping center in town was walking distance as well. The wifi came free with our room, though only one device could be connected at a time and you had to log in each time, which was kind of annoying. And our water shut off right when I was in the middle of taking a shower, also annoying, though they had that fixed in less than an hour. Overall I had a great stay and if I ever make it back out to Coral Bay I'd easily stay here again!

Yelp
Wonderful Wedding Venue on the grass or around the pool in front of the most stunning beach where you can feed the fish or snorkel. Good food and good wine list. Bands are on sometimes which make it a fun place.

Yelp
Interesting ... the "resort" is at the end of the town and with rooms high up most get a sea view. There is a pub, restaurant and bottle shop onsite. With the layout of the rooms, either side of the pub, it can get noisy. Its quite comfy, the rooms have kitchen facilities and a deck to relax on. Old accommodation but is quaint so fits the feel of Coral Bay perfectly.
