I ordered a tonkotsu ramen. The broth unfortunately had very little flavor. Tonkotsu broth should not look like clear soup. The amount of it was also very little. With the normal amount of noodles, the soup was quickly absorbed. Unfortunately, the noodles still tasted like plain noodles, no broth flavor at all. Honestly, it really tasted not good. The bowl was a little small comparing to other ramen restaurants, which made the whole chunk (literally!) of noodles just stick to the bottom. As soon as I stirred the noodles, the soup all went to the bottom and disappeared. Let me be fair, the pork in there was very good. Comparing to the flavorless noodles and broth, it really stood out. My husband ordered a miso ramen. Same, no flavor, very little broth. Normally, when we finish the noodles from a bowl of ramen there is plenty of broth left.
There are not many good Asian restaurant in Cleveland. However, as ramen lovers, we have tried ramen from many different places. One or two of them: pretty good. Most of them: not bad, okay. I'm sorry that I have to say that I was shocked with the ramen I had from Ninja City. I am hoping that it was just a 1-time thing or made by some careless staff forgetting seasoning or something, because it's really unbelievable that this is the quality from a restaurant that focuses on Asian food and even on Resy.
