Nintendo NEW YORK

We were genuinely excited to visit this store and had been looking forward to the experience. After waiting in line for about 20 minutes, we finally made it inside — unfortunately, that’s when the excitement started to fade. The store itself feels like it’s in need of a serious refresh. The space looks dated, and many of the displays appear worn and tired, rather than engaging and inviting. For a place that should feel dynamic and interactive, the overall atmosphere felt underwhelming. One of the biggest disappointments was the number of live consoles that weren’t working. A large portion of them were out of service, and the few that were operational had long lines, making it difficult to actually try anything out. That really took away from what should have been a hands-on, immersive experience. Overall, it just wasn’t the experience we had hoped for. Given the anticipation and the wait to get in, it was especially disappointing to leave feeling let down. We hope the store considers some updates and improvements so future visitors can have a more enjoyable visit.

Just got back from the Nintendo Store and it was seriously amazing. Walking in and seeing the whole Pokémon timeline on display brought back so many memories. I still remember my first Nintendo 64, the first console I ever owned, and how magical it felt to play those games for the first time. Seeing all the consoles, the evolution of Nintendo games, and all the classic characters made me feel like a kid again. It was so cool to see how far Nintendo has come and to relive all those memories in one place. The store really makes you appreciate the history and creativity behind every game. If you grew up with Nintendo or just love gaming, this place is an absolute must see. Walking through it, I couldn’t help but smile remembering all the late nights playing with friends and the excitement of discovering new games.

Visiting Nintendo New York was pure nostalgia mixed with modern excitement. From the moment you walk in, it feels less like a store and more like a celebration of gaming history. Whether you grew up with Nintendo or are experiencing it through a new generation, there’s something here that immediately connects. The space is packed with iconic characters, displays, and interactive elements that make you want to slow down and look at everything. Seeing how Nintendo’s games and systems have evolved over the years—while still holding onto what made them special in the first place—is really well done. It’s fun without feeling gimmicky. What stood out most was how welcoming it felt for all ages. Kids were clearly having the time of their lives, but adults were just as engaged, pointing things out and reliving memories. The merchandise selection is solid, with plenty of exclusive items you won’t find anywhere else, making it hard to leave empty-handed. Even with other visitors inside, the atmosphere stayed upbeat and relaxed. It’s one of those places where you don’t feel rushed, even though you’re right in the heart of the city. If you’re a Nintendo fan—or just want a break from the usual sightseeing—Nintendo New York is absolutely worth a stop. It’s fun, nostalgic, and genuinely joyful.

We went to Nintendo New York for the first time and had a great experience! The store has lots of merchandise for Nintendo products like Pokémon, Super Mario Bros, Zelda, and Animal Crossing. It was so fun to walk around the store to look at the fun decor. There are a few interactive aspects like a spot to play Mario Kart in the store. Highly recommend Nintendo New York!

My family (including 3 boys under 10) stopped here on our trip to New York City. The boys and I fell in love with the store. From the new and used Nintendo games, 🎮 consoles, plush, and statues, this place is an excellent stop for families and gamers alike. The boys especially loved the plush Pokemon figures, apparel and 🎁 gifts here. This store is ♿ handicap accessible and has wide aisles as well.

We visited the Nintendo Store on December 30, right before New Year’s, and yes, it was very crowded. There was a line outside, but honestly, don’t be scared of it, they let in big groups and it moves pretty fast. The store has two floors. You can buy games and merch, and quick tip: the game boxes on the shelves are empty, but at checkout they give you the actual game, so that’s totally normal. The second floor is really fun, you can actually play and test games on TVs and even huge wall screens. Such a cool experience. There are cashiers on both floors, and the second floor checkout was faster for us, little life hack. Staff were super polite and helpful. Also, I really recommend getting their store bags, they’re great quality with strong handles, and prices overall felt reasonable.

If you’re a Nintendo fan, the Nintendo Store in NYC is absolutely worth the stop. From the moment you walk in, it feels like stepping into your childhood (or your current obsession). The giant Bowser bursting through the wall is an awesome photo op, and seeing life-sized statues of Mario, Luigi, and Link up close was very surreal. They’re detailed, clean, and really well displayed — it doesn’t feel cluttered or gimmicky. The huge curved video wall showcasing Nintendo Switch content was impressive too. It gives the store a high-energy vibe without feeling overwhelming. I also loved the silhouette display above the entrance and the smaller collectible displays like the Mario Kart PVC figure. You can tell they put effort into presentation — everything feels intentional. The merchandise selection was solid. Plenty of Zelda, Mario, and character-themed gear, apparel, and collectibles. It’s definitely more curated than your average retail store, which makes it feel special. Even if you’re not planning to buy much, it’s still fun just to walk through and take it all in. Overall, it’s a really cool experience, especially if you grew up with Nintendo. It’s not huge, but it’s memorable, clean, and well done. I’d absolutely stop in again next time I’m in NYC.

This is one of the best stores ever! A wide variety of all Nintendo merch. The staff is very helpful with finding certain items. There is an interactive mario you can talk to, switch 2's you can play and a mini museum of merch and consoles.

This place awoke my inner child and then proceeded to take him on a shopping spree. This place is nostalgia under one roof. It is 2 stories and has an elevator or stairs to use. It also has lifesize characters from various Nintendo titles. There's clothing, accessories, and video games. Theres also a display case of every Nintedo system ever made. There's also playable video games that everyone use. There's even a Mario Game where you can physically walk on different tiles to lead Mario around on the game. This place is perfect for current and forever Nintedo individuals!

It's Nintendo... IFYKYK My review has to be at least 85 characters long. So I'll mention that they have some unique clothing that's worth checking out.

Yes super fun place to visit when in NYC. For any Nintendo fan and especially someone who grew up with this stuff, this is a great place to visit for games, nostalgia, and fun gifts. There are two floors, some fun photo ops and more. It can get very busy but the staff gets the line moving. While some of the items can be pricey, you won't find this stuff anywhere else. The first floor is mostly Nintendo merchandise as in clothing, hats and amiibo. Second floor has Pokemon, Zelda merchandise and others. There's a small glass display showing every Nintendo console ever made. Very cool.

Great location. Super fun stuff inside. Lots of great products. Customer service was great - so many workers around the store ready and friendly to help you. We found some awesome Nintendo NY shirts!! There are game stations throughout the store to play! Two levels of fun and an elevator available if you can't take the stairs. Will come again!!

My daughter has been wanting to visit this place, so happy with the service and experience. It's two floors of shopping experience, games upstairs to get to play. Lots of things to purchase, from clothes, games and stuffed toys.

This USED to be a place I would want to go to whenever I travelled to New York but it simply isn't the same place it used to be, especially back in the old days when it was known as the Pokemon Center. If you really think about it, there's very little that sets this place apart from a Target or Best Buy's video game section. Even the museum that used to be here is gone too. Yeah they have that glass container with a lineup of old Nintendo consoles but the thing I loved seeing the most, the old Game Boy that a war veteran took with him overseas that got run over by a tank and still worked, is no longer here. This place no longer has much of the charm and soul that it used to have. And now that a counterpart is opening in San Francisco soon, I have even less reason to ever come back here. I also don't buy the merchandise here anyway. It's pricey. I'm still giving three stars because of my old memories of what this place USED to be and also getting to play Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door on the big screen was pretty sweet.

One the most amazing shopping experiences I've had next to Disney. I loved the homage to there consoles and chaarcters throughout the storw. They have a nice assortment of Nintendo merchandise including games, clothing, accessories and kitchen products plus the prices are reasonable. The staff are very helpful and kind too. I wouldn't mind a few visits to check out their new merchandise and play more of the games.

Located within the Rockefeller Plaza. You should definitely give this place a visit if you're even the slightest fan of Nintendo games. They sell very cool apparel, accessories, and games here. Even if you aren't planning to purchase anything, they have your beloved Nintendo characters all around the 2 floors where you could take pictures with them.

I feel there should be more kid things. Not many kid t shirts. A few, but should be more. Cool that you can play a bunch of switches in the store. Tons of cool little toys. Big builds of Mario and bowser and toad and Luigi. Very fun to stop in here.

Fun store with a lot of Nintendo merchandise, a cool section to play Nintendo games including on a huge screen, a tiny museum of all Nintendo's consoles, and some fun sculptures. As a destination store to take people to this does a good job, but it's not as much fun as the nearby LEGO store. It has a huge room with lots of places to play various Nintendo games. One of them has a huge ~20-foot-wide screen that my son got to play Super Mario Bros. Wonder on. It also has some cool sculptures of Mario, Luigi, and Link, but somehow it has less of wow/photo op feel than the LEGO store does. There's a lot of merchandise, but somehow none of it really wound up appealing to either my son or I. The coolest thing from my view was the little museum (really just a big display case) of all the consoles Nintendo has made.

When my husband and I visited New York, we didn't even know there was a Nintendo store right near our hotel, so once we passed it, we knew we had to go in. And my husband was honestly like a kid in a candy store! Nintendo New York had games for purchase, demo stations, little displays of classic systems and games from throughout the company's history, and even big character statues around the store you could take pictures with. Our favorite part was a full wall screen where you could play games at a little stand in front of it. Fun if you're really good at a Nintendo game or really terrible and can entertain your travel companions with your lack of skill. If you're a huge fan of Nintendo, whether modern or classic, I definitely recommend a stop here if you're in New York!

Crowded but manageable. A good variety of apparel , plushies, games and items. Not as big as the one in Japan but they have other nice tshirts. If you're in the area and like Nintendo, go to check it out.

--Location/Parking-- I didn't see any nearby parking structure, but I recommend researching in advance since the store location is in a popular tourist location in Manhattan. --Ambience-- Two story of Nintendo goodness. If you are a fan of everything Nintendo, this is the place for you. There is a section of retro museum showing vintage Nintendo items, even a Gameboy that survive a missile attack. --Service/Staff-- I only interacted with the staff at the registered where they help me with bagging because of my luggage situation. They were friendly and were willing to accommodate my purchase needs. Thank you for helping me out on this trip. --Food/Products-- The store tends to have new Nintendo licensed items. I was hoping there would be vintage or rare Nintendo items you could not find in any store. There is on the 2nd floor a huge Switch section where you can browse through a lot of various games. --Capacity-- I visited during the weekday and there was a huge crowd all around the store. The checkout line was not that long and goes by quickly but traversing between the 1st and 2nd floor showed that the store can reach a maximum capacity. --Overall-- Go if you are a big Nintendo fan!

Tourist attraction and big gaming store for all Nintendo kids of all ages... how can one resist! Come here early to avoid the crowds and long lines especially on the weekends! Cool to check out the latest and the greatest items and picking up some gifts especially for the holidays. Yes, a bit pricey - but it's the Nintendo store! Best to take local transportation as parking in the area is hard to find and also expensive. Can walk to many other shopping places and attractions in the area.

Cool spot! This used to be a Pokemon store but Nintendo converted it to a Nintendo store. There are some cool pieces on display from the past and a lot of toys, swag and games for sale. They have a lot of Nintendo IP from the classic games as well as some Pokemon stuff. It was cool being in here for a bit and they have some game consoles to try. It was cool being in here for a little bit.

When coming to NY, and you love Nintendo... this store is a must! Went there with friends the day after GO FEST 2023, one of which was hosted in NY on Randall's Island. The next day, we had to go look for some Pokemon merch and explore the city. This store had everything I was looking for and then some! I ended up with lots of gifts and quite a few shirts for myself. This is a must see!

Located at Rockefeller Center, in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, Nintendo NY is a premier destination for family entertainment, where my partner, our visitors from out of town and I came last Saturday. Upon entering this two-level, 10,000-square-foot interactive space, there were no lines or crowds. Visitors can immerse themselves in the latest Nintendo has to offer with their newest games showcased on the Nintendo 3DS and the Nintendo Switch system. The store also carries exclusive apparel and other items featuring beloved Nintendo characters, mainly Mario, Zelda, and Pokémon. The item has the New York Nintendo logo on it and is therefore somewhat unique. Some products didn't seem too overpriced. The Nintendo Shop in NYC is fun for all ages.

I was so excited to visit Nintendo while in NYC but was pretty disappointed.... The store was in sections with Mario and the gang downstairs, pokemon upstairs, and a few other small areas. The giant figure displays were pretty neat though there was only 2-3 for the whole store. Being a store, I expected to be able to shop more.... unfortunately the selection was extremely limited in all the sections. There weren't many options for Nintendo NYC specific merch let alone general merch. Unfortunately I don't expect to visit again.

FUN FACT: this is the only Nintendo store outside of Japan! Honestly, I thought the store would be bigger. It is a two-story corner location with an entire floor dedicated to Mario. The second floor had Nintendo Switch consoles to play on and very minimal merch of select games like Kirby, Zelda, Pokemon, etc. I was pretty shocked to see how little Pokemon products they had. They didn't have any limited edition plushes, nor NYC-themed merch. However, I was happy to see that everything was reasonably priced! Not many items were overly expensive.

So fun. So cool. Great place for kids and families alike. Check it out when you're in NYC.

For any video game fan, this is a must visit store. Nintendo only has a few dedicated stores around the world and this is a fun one. Located in Rockefeller Center, it's easy to find. It's two stories of games and goodies to go along with them. They sell everything from the systems themselves, games, t-shirts and apparel, merchandise, collectibles, etc., a lot of them are exclusive to this store. The real draw if you aren't here to buy anything is the store is essentially a museum with tons of old systems and exhibits, plus collectibles and art in cases. They also have a few play stations to try games for free or watch others play. The store is well lit with giant windows on both sides, which really shows all the fun colors of the Nintendo aesthetic. Prices are typical, plus may have limited things available in larger quantities than other stores. This is a great place to visit for people of all ages!

I love this place! They had a great selection of items and merch from all different franchises (mainly just the main franchises like Legend Of Zelda, Pokémon, Mario, etc) I love going here.

The Nintendo Store here in NY is the closest thing you're going to get to a Pokémon Center outside of Japan, so you can imagine coming here during a large Pokémon Go event weekend was going to be chaotic. ...and you know what, it was all worth it! This two story shop had so many nostalgic Nintendo merch with a real heavy emphasis on Pokémon and Mario goods on the top floor. My sister and friends all spent time browsing all the merch that wasn't available at our event site, and it was nice to be somewhere where like minded players were also enjoying the atmosphere. Even if you're just a casual Nintendo fan or have played one of their IPs at some point in your life, it is a nice store to explore for a bit (assuming the line getting in isn't massively long).

Cute store and obvious Nintendo themed everything! My brother asked us to buy some shirts here for he and his wife since we were on vacay in NYC, but we enjoyed the store too. The shirts are reasonably priced so my husband bought a couple as well. And my nieces just love Pikachu so I had to buy them a NY themed stuffy. The service was good and employees are very nice. There are great picture opportunities here with their decor so that alone is super fun!

All the games. All the merch. 2 stories of Nintendo fun! The best part for me is the case with ALL of the Nintendos, ever. Mini museum + store! Definitely worth a stop if your family loves to play Nintendo! It's an easy find in Rockefeller center.

This store still holds the same magic as it did years ago. The last several times I have been haven't been crowded, which I guess is a good thing. Splatoon, Zelda, Pokemon and Mario are definitely the biggest IPs they focus on with their merchandise -- but thankfully you can still find some others, but it's a lot less for sure. In my experience, the only other place where I can find this much Nintendo merch in one setting is Super Smash Con. Merch aside, the decor, the music, the displays... it's hard to not smile when you're there. I haven't gone there once and left empty-handed. I always get so hyped when they post about exclusive stuff that you can only get in-store. The fun never ends! If you're in New York and you're a gamer, there is absolutely no excuse to avoid Nintendo NY.

I made sure to visit Nintendo NY on my first NY trip. I didn't buy anything but I loved exploring the two floors of merch and displays. The store layout is great. Everything is clean and organized. There are a few museum worthy displays and several large statues that are perfect for photo ops. Aside from the obvious video games and gaming hardware and accessories, you can pick up apparel and other small souvenirs that are only sold there.

NEW YORK CITY: right in Rockefeller Center is only one or two Nintendo stores in the whole world! Dogs are allowed inside the 2-story Nintendo NYC, but they must be picked up, in a carrier, or in a stroller. This is for safety because the store is packed with gamers, tourists, and fans of the super popular Nintendo brand. Shop around for the latest Switch games, exclusive merchandise, pose in front of fun decor for a selfie, and check out new releases at the gaming stations. Brie's Mom loved the Kirby section and Brie's Dad checked-out the hard core games.

Definitely worth visiting. We came during the evening one night and the line was super long so we decided to come back the next morning right when it opened, no wait time. This is a fun place to visit, and shop.

Spacious and easy to get to, but I was surprised by the lack of selection. I expected to find a wider array of unique items and games, as well as sizes for clothing. Instead, I felt quite limited on what I could purchase in popular sizes (Small & Medium), and most of what I saw was available online or in stores elsewhere. I did find some items that are harder to find in stock online or in other stores. It was really cool to be able to link my Nintendo account at checkout for some added value, too. The store is spaced out well and has multiple photo ops, as well.

Came here the Monday before Christmas. Was the third person in line to go in, and once they opened it was pretty underwhelming. They were low on almost everything in the store - shirts? Three small sizes. Bare shelves etc. Would be one thing if they had an online presence but you have to come here to get the stuff. And making the trip one would expect to be blown away. I wasn't. It was just the stuff you could find in game stores etc. Try it yourself. Have a modest expectation.

An amazing Nintendo store in NYC. Vintage gaming systems and plenty of merchandise to purchase. The customer service was great and the workers were knowledgeable about the company and gaming systems. If you're in the area and a super Mario fan give this place a try.

I love coming to Nintendo every time I visit NYC because it's something different every time. They have a wide selection of Pokemon, Zelda, and of course everything in the Super Mario World. There's something for everyone here no matter your age. Things are a little pricey but are pretty unique to the location. They have tons of workers at the cash registers so the line moves quickly.

A good place to go for any Nintendo fan. Prices aren't half bad for NY either. The games selection was surprisingly deep, even had games I didn't have, which I wasn't expecting.

The Nintendo NY store is super cool. There is plenty to see, play and buy. When you make your purchase you can use the QR code at the register to get gold points onto your account. There is a wall sized screen to play Mario cart and a couple of interactive displays as well. I really enjoyed the cases displaying all of the Nintendo consoles over the years. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable.

The store was very well organized. The staff was very helpful in finding what we wanted. The cashiers were also knowledgeable of what was in their store and interacted with everyone including a child infront of us getting a stuffed pokemon toy.

Cool store, not much to say except it's a popular place for tourists who love Nintendo. There are two floors, the top floor has demos of games and displays of all existing amiibos, plus display cases showing every Nintendo console ever (made me feel old lol). Located in the Rockefeller area, right next to Rockefeller Center. Overall had nice vibes, and was a consistently busy store.

For anyone who likes Nintendo, come to this store! I loved how welcoming the staff was, they truly interacted with everyone and kids. I love that they have a small display of figurines of various Nintendo characters, a display of the Gameboys that have been made and various game systems. They have very cute statues of kirby, splatoon characters, donkey kong, Pokémon! Very picturesque. They also have a wide variety of VERY CUTE plushies of Pokémon, splatoon characters, kirby, and animal crossing. It's very hard to not leave the store with a whole bag of things! If I'm ever back in New York, I will definitely come back!

I will always be a fan of Nintendo - visiting this store was a top priority of mine on our recent visit to the city. The store carry plushes, accessories, clothing, and even photo ops scattered throughout the store. There is also a case that shows the different collectibles over the years, ranging from rare to the super rare. Unfortunately, I felt that the selection was a little lacking, especially the sizing - we were looking for some souvenir clothing gifts for a dear friend, and larger sizes were non-existent. The other limited options in the store were no dice. I also felt that there could have been better choices in terms of the design/graphics. Staff were friendly, and the place does get packed! This place is absolutely amazing!!! I'm a long time Nintendo fan and realized I work only a couple of blocks from here. Went to check out the new stuff for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and Nintendo New York did not disappoint. It lives up to the hype. They have a giant Link display and the Master Sword on display. Tons of good stuff here, including a showcase of historic tabletop and handheld platforms, Switches your can play on, apparel, Nintendo Switch games for purchase, candy and more. Don't miss this one if you're in midtown Manhattan.

If you are a fan of Nintendo games like Mario and stuffed animals, this is the perfect place for you! There are life-size character displays and numerous plushies for Mario characters, Pokémon, and even Animal Crossing.

Arrived at the store about 20min to closing, so had to rush. Ran into an employee who'd asked if I had been there. Told him "Yep, about 15 years ago!" He was probably 5 at the time. Anyway, returned to the Nintendo store. It's changed since I was last there. They were apparently sold out of an exclusive T-Shirt one of my sons wanted. He was bummed, but what can you do. My other son was really impressed to see the history of Nintendo consoles in physical form. Between the consoles and handhelds. I was a bit surprised there wasn't more specific merch geared to Nintendo products that maybe need more love? Maybe even some Japan goods would have been neat to have. Like import exclusives to the store. I dunno. If I had extra money and space, I would have picked up a few Animal Crossing goodies (my fav Nintendo franchise). Also, was SHOCKED to see Waluigi merch. Heck, they show him more love than Super Smash Brothers (justice for Waluigi!). Cool to check out. Take some pics!

A fun immersive store that has a little bit of everything. Walking around is like a museum of Nintendo artwork. This is as close it gets if you aren't stepping foot in Universal Studios Nintendo land.
