Ninù Roma

We were looking for a restaurant near our hotel and found this one. Upon entering maybe around 8:30 during the week the restaurant seemed almost empty. We were put into the American penalty box in the back library. Our waiter brought us water and disappeared for at least twenty minutes maybe more. He finally came back and ask if we wanted a drink. Two glasses of house red please. Came back maybe another twenty minutes to say they only had one glass of red wine. He told my wife she should get a white because she was getting seafood. She said yes thank you I know I should be pairing seafood with white but I would like a red thank you. So he left and was gone another 20 to 30 minutes and came in with Two glasses of red. Can’t make this up. We waited probably another half hour and I finally had to go find my food and waiter. I had the sliced beef which was very good. And my wife had the calamari which was not so good. Once our food was brought we never saw our waiter again. No coffee no dessert no bill. I finally had enough and went again to find my waiter only to be greeted by three people begging me to stay for FREE dessert. I said it’s probably better for you if I leave now. I don’t know what it was. I have never had service so bad

The place itself is very nice, very clean restroom and fancy outside sitting area. Good service. But the price and more importantly the quality of the coffee is a sin. I paid €4 for an espresso which was advertised as some fancy single origin extravaganza with all kinds of subtle notes and undertones. In fact, it tasted like bad Nespresso. Then I saw these "fancy" Lavazza pods displayed at the window and everything made more sense.

A pleasant surprise during a stroll in Rome. Passing by, it immediately struck us as a good place to have lunch and we were not disappointed. We sat at the terrace, but inside you can have your lunch or dinner among the books, which we like ( and reminds us of home..) . Good food with interesting twists, a good wine list and last but not lest a sympathetic proprietor. What more could one wish for? This new restaurant will certainly be successful, we only hope that in the future there will be a place for us as once more we pass by!

Terrible place, don’t go there! We went to the restaurant and ordered aperitifs around 19:15 (of course after we had a positive answer that we can have a simple drink but anyhow we wanted appetitive as well!). Then they came to us at 20:10 and told that we actually can’t have it, we can only have dinner. We had been already waiting for it meanwhile. Therefore we had to leave. It was very rude how they acted. Week customer service and very poor English in such a international touristic spot which makes this situation even more ridiculous!I never recommend.

The wait staff were rude and made us feel unwelcome. We asked for an outdoor table and were sat at the far end of their outdoor area, about eight tables away from anyone else. We ordered a specific tea and were served the wrong tea. When we pointed this out, the server told us we were wrong. We complained again and they admitted they simply had none of the tea left so had instead tried to serve us a different tea without telling us. After this, we requested a different tea and they had run out of that as well, despite only having about eight teas on their menu. The waiters didn't apologise for purposefully serving us wrong drinks. The only reason it's not 1 star is the food and drinks were good quality.

Worse place ever ! First time in rome from UK and treated us horribly. Put another table pressed against us. Sat us away from fan boiling heat. I asked for hot latte, give me a warm/cold not drink able and asked for bill 4 times. Ignored. Avoid this place if your tourist.

I just gave 1 star at first but the restaurant claimed that I was never there. Therefore, I am editing my comment: I went there with my 3 friends on a very day rainy day in May 2024. We ordered aperatives and waited 30-40 minutes. Then, we asked if we could go inside because it was raining like cats and dogs. The answer was ‘YES’. After 20 more minutes, while were sitting inside and STILL WAITING for our order, another waitress came and said that we must order main meal to be able sit inside. We were pissed off and left. Don’t go there. There are much better places than this place.

The 9.5/10 location is very special, having previously been an interior designer's house converted into a restaurant. The food is 9/10 very tasty, sophisticated and quality, absolutely to try! The service is kind and attentive to the customer.
