Google
Outstanding experience. Every seat has a good view. Fun atmosphere and one of the few college stadiums you can drink. Great tailgating.

Sequoria Stewart

Google
Attend my son's 7x7 tournaments here. Considering it wasn't a college game, we did get the full experience. But overall it was a very nice facility. The boys had a Blast!! That's what matters:)...

Brandon Bowers

Google
Great historic venue for a football game. Attended UC vs. WVU last weekend. Concession lines weren’t super efficient but staff were friendly.

April Derden

Google
Had an amazing time!! Being a Mountaineer fan at an opposing stadium was awesome!! The Bearcat fans were so friendly and welcoming!!

Michael Davenport

Google
We went for an FC Cincinnati game and had a blast. It's really a great college stadium. The experience of the soccer game was awesome. The team was in last place and there was only one more game left in the season but the crowd was still strong and the game still fun.

Martin Schneider

Google
Nippert is still a great college football stadium and experience. With program popularity, seating is tight, to say the least. A must for any UC fan!

Brian Smyth

Google
what a great place to hang out and play ball or just walk around. It seems to be open and available all year round they just walk in off the sidewalk and enjoy the Astroturf. Played with my son and friends what I need to experience to get to play football on a football field

Eric McBride (McBride)

Went there in offseason has a great feel. Love the stadium

Yelp
Nippert Stadium brings back so many memories for me. To me, Nippert stadium is everything that is great about college football. It's not the biggest or the grandest stadium I've been in, but there's something about this place that is just magical. There's truly not a bad seat in the house, but I'll always choose to be on a lower level, closer to the action if I can. During a UC game, there's plenty of drink vendors surrounding the stadium, as well as the built-in concessions. The restrooms are generally well-kept (but there's high traffic during games, so I'm sure it can get crazy). I haven't had the privilege yet of visiting any of the new facilities in the new box seating areas. For me, it's possible that my positive feelings are fueled by my positive memories. Regardless, I always look forward to coming here and long for excuses to relive my college days.

Debbie S.

Yelp
Nice stadium on the smaller side, which has no bad seats. Close together, but ok for 3 hours to see Bearcats. Security was lacking as no one asked to scan our tickets.

Chris B.

Yelp
Cool stadium and campus with renewed area in uptown Cifton. Tailgating before Bearcats meet South Florida. Great atmosphere! BYOB. (Bring your own Bearcat).

Julie W.

Yelp
A bit of Cincinnati history. Home of the University of Cincinnati football team. It Has been the home of the Bearcats since 1901. Situated in the middle of UC's dense urban campus it provides a 'walk through' for many students going to classes around campus. Great game day atmosphere!

Michael B.

Yelp
What words can I use to describe this wonderful sports venue. Not a bad seat in the house. ONE of the best places to watch college football in all of the country.

Kelly Y.

Yelp
This is a great stadium. It is easy to get to from parking areas. Parking is plenty and not more than $10. The walk from parking garage to stadium is not more than 1/2 mile like Cardinal Stadium in Louisville. It is also on the bus route! My only complaint is that the seats are so very narrow. It is as if they jammed an additional 20% seat into each row. I don't even complain about airplane seats! So get used to being very comfortable with your neighbors at the games.

Heather L.

Yelp
I've gone to Nippert for UC vs UConn football games and never been super impressed. Now having gone after the remodel, I'm not sure what they much did. Improve the premium seating? Not a fan of the bleacher style seating. Most seats at least have decent views. What really makes the place is the atmosphere of the FC Cincinnati games, now that they are playing there. The Bailey is the best place to "sit" and since you're standing the whole time, the bleacher benches don't much matter. Checkout the Madtree tent for some great craft beer!

Megan T.

Yelp
As a UC alum, let me just say this 5 star rating is absolutely biased. I spent many hours and days sitting in the seats of Nippert either for a football game, studying with the sun going down watching the band practice and now watching FC Cincinnati. I love the UC campus so much I'm literally crying right now as I write this out. I think it's so amazing that UC has their stadium in the middle of campus and accessible at all times to students and alumni. I frequently like l come back and run the track at Gettler for a few miles and then run the stairs at Nippert. Anyways... LETS GO BEARCATS and FC CINCINNATI!

Courtney K.

Yelp
I don't mind Nippert Stadium. It's generally pretty clean and well kempt whether I'm there for a game or just to run the steps. Side note, only run the steps if you're serious and ready for it. With that being said, there are some inconsistencies with actually just... getting into the place. Sometimes it takes five minutes in with a sold out stadium, but other times it can take up to an hour to get in. This really needs to be amended because it's awful to go from tailgating to standing in a line for an hour and missing part of a game. On the other hand the staff at all of the food and beer booths are always super nice and in good spirits, which is awesome. All in all, I wouldn't say every experience here is fantastic, but none of this would ever keep me from going to games or events there. Just have to plan for a long wait.

Baron K.

Yelp
nippert statuim is such a great place they have such good food i wood recmond comeing back here agin letsssss go bearcats

Yelp
REVIEW: Major Sponsors' Box and Catering. I was a guest of the Nu-Psi Chapter of Kappa Sigma on 01/07/17; the fraternity members celebrated their new chapter by having their banquet in what I would call the Major Sponsors' Box. Being in the central part of a new build-out made me want to see a Bearcat football game. The sight-lines from this enormous, private hall were great. The banquet was at night but some lights were on, enough to see the field and the surrounding stands. My thoughts were, "What a great place this would be to see a game." The food for the banquet was pretty standard fare. Chicken and veggies, pork and potatoes, with cheesecake. Tasty but nothing more than high-volume service. Some parents seemed squeemish but I took that as "high falootin folly". Loads of space. Great bar. Seating. A full 5' wide balcony running outside the box at midfield. For now, YAY! I'M A FAN. My hope is I'll be back to enjoy a UC Bearcat game. Likely, not from this box. Booo Yeah!

Yelp
First in person look at the renovated Nipp. From what I could see, it's going to be a first class place to watch the 'Cats. My main reason for the visit was to check and see if my seats will be under the new club seats and was happy they will be protected from any pop up showers. No chance to see the new concourses since they're still fetched off but from what I could see, it's going to be a HUGE improvement.

Nevena K.

Yelp
This stadium has grown so much since I went to school here!! The bathrooms are clean and abundant, the concession stands are everywhere, there are vendors going up and down the stands and the kettle corn is delicious. There are scoreboards and graphics everywhere so you don't have to crane your neck anymore. Definitely coming to more FCC games!!!

Brian S.

Yelp
I kind of hate to give Nippert three stars since I've been going to games there for years, but after taking a year off to renovate, I have to wonder who validated the plans. Concession lines are crazy long, and the bathroom lines seem longer than before. What did they spend all that money on? Watching a game there is still great, but the amenities are still as lacking as they were before. I guess the investment all went into the club and suites area. Also not really thrilled that they switched the home and away sides and we now sit right next to the away section. Not really a great way to treat long time season ticket holders.

Dale H.

Yelp
Went to Nippert for my first FC Cincinnati game. The top tier of seats is closed and decorated with team banners. We sat in section 105 row 27 and were pleasantly surprised that there were padded stadium seats attached to the bleachers. This made it much more comfortable! View was great from these seats. There was a nice variety of vendors including Madtree Brewery and FC Cincinnati merchandise tents. Careful in the enclosed restaurant area - the floor is very slippery, though it had been drizzling outside. This was a very kid-friendly environment!

Shelley C.

Yelp
This review is based on a visit to the newly renovated Nippert Stadium and Suites. This stadium is really something wonderful! I have to say the view is pretty good from anywhere in this stadium and the view from the suites is amazing. The sound system is great, even sitting in the suite we could hear the announcers with no problem and the calls were all clear - so we could actually understand what they were saying :-) The suites offer inside and outside sitting, food and beverage service, private restrooms, and a dessert cart that comes around courtesy of The Bon Bonnerie (whaaaaat!!!) This is a great place to catch some Football, Go Bearcats!

Hollyann H.

Yelp
Nippert Stadium is truly something special. It's historic and different from any other college stadium. Going to a game here is exciting and fun, every view is a great view. The best part tho is being so close with everyone sitting around you and even on the field. Even when games aren't going on, sitting in the stadium reading a book on a nice day or watching drunk people play Frisbee on the field it in the middle of the night is always good and entertaining.

Stacey V.

Yelp
FCC!! FCC!! FCC!! If you are new to the city or just need to up your pride in Cincinnati, you absolutely must go to an FCC game at Nippert Stadium... i have just recently started to go to the soccer games and it's been fabulous. I'm a transplant to Cincy so my tie to the city has been pretty weak but after going to a few games I'm totally hooked and into soccer, although don't ask me about all the rules I'm still learning. Overall I would say the stadium is very easy to navigate and getting in and out is surprisingly easy. Usually after a large event traffic is horrible and leaving is a mess but I have found that getting home isn't bad. Drinks are pretty pricey but that goes with the stadium deal. Overall you must go to the stadium and enjoy a solid soccer game! I recommend sitting in the Bailey... but be prepared for lots of standing, cheering and maybe some profanity... if that isn't your style there are plenty of seats around to enjoy a good match! See you on the pitch!

Andrew N.

Yelp
Handicap parking is a joke and 8/10 of a mile from the stadium and being told or you can walk and then finding out the shovels out running when you leave at half time it's a shuttles I will never return to another event at this facility

Luke P.

Yelp
Nippert is ideal since there's isn't a bad seat; around 32,000 people fit comfortably. It's in the heart of the UC campus, so the crowd will often be students regardless of the event. The only real downside is that standing room views are obstructed by columns from most of the rails. I can't really fault them for that since it wasn't designed for standing room, technically. FC Cincinnati utilizes the stadium well. The western bleachers are occupied by the most rabid fan base cheering wildly throughout the game. There's a family section that doesn't allow alcohol. I actually prefer standing, so the standing room tickets are perfect for me. Go!

Alec D.

Yelp
Historic Nippert Stadium has an atmosphere unlike any college football stadium, especially when night falls in Cincinnati. The band charging down the stadium steps through the student section is a tradition unlike any other and really gets the fans started up. Because the stadium is nestled in the heart of campus and is built down in the ground, Nippert Stadium provides for a very loud and challenging environment for opposing teams. Be afraid.

Scott M.

Yelp
Packed tightly into the center of UC's main campus, it will be interesting to see how designers pack in a few thousand more seats while alleviating some of the issues Nippert has on busy game days. Namely, lower bowl seating views are obscured by standing players and personnel on the field. The field level needs to be dropped six or seven feet, but I'm told this is impossible due to the nature of certain subterranean utilities. Restroom facilities are overcrowded. It seems the stadium was designed for a smaller crowd. The stadium currently relies on a bank of port-a-johns that are placed behind the stadium. Some walkways are way too tight. Access to concessions needs to switch sides to leave more room around the walkways. Negatives aside, this is a raucous atmosphere on important night games. Everyone is tightly packed and visiting fans are spread thin in those "I can't see" lower bowl seats. It gets electric in here. Something that is completely lost no matter who the Bearcats are playing when at Paul Brown. Beers are a reasonable $7.00 and are served at the stadium which I'm told is a rarity amongst collegiate athletic venues. Seats on top of Dieterle should also be an element of the redesign- Wrigleyville style.

Jonathan E.

Yelp
Went here for a FCC game. The tickets we were given were club level ... fantastic view and accommodations!

Emily T.

Yelp
great venue in central campus @ UC. Loving the partnership with FC Cincy to keep it busy year round :)

Kelly M.

Yelp
The best stadium in college sports just got even better! The new addition is perfect, adds so much space and blends in decently with the old. There isn't a better place to see a football game. Go Cats!

Vince M.

Yelp
Has continued to go downhill..dirty restrooms, not enough restrooms, slow vendor service...a real rookie run operation

Anjelica N.

Yelp
If you're from Cincinnati, I think you can truly appreciate how great Nippert is. If you grew up on St. X or Elder football, Nippert gives you a more grown-up feel of those revered high school stadiums like "The Pit." It has the intensity of college football with the intimacy of the big-city-but-small-town-feel of Cincinnati. Also, it doesn't hurt that there's really no bad seat in the whole stadium. You can see everything from anywhere. Access concessions and restrooms at any section.

John B.

Yelp
I've been to a few games here and have enjoyed them all. The view is good from pretty much everywhere. One of the only negatives is that, at least this last time I was there, the bathroom was inexplicably about a million degrees. Open a vent or something. Anyways, there are certain sections of the stadium that are more appropriate than others depending on your sports enthusiasm. The student section, of course, is the most wild and if you can't stand up for most of the game, you might not want to get tickets there. The UC side is mostly comprised of UC alumni and the UC marching band. As many of the alumni are a little older, you might find this section much tamer and more people sit than stand. There are of course exceptions. This past time I was on the opposing team side (there the press box is), and it was a mixture of everything from recent alumni to families. I stood most of the time but there wasn't really anyone behind me. *Check and see if there is a theme for the game (Black, Red, or White Out). It is often listed on the ticket, but is probably on the UC website or facebook page. It's kinda cool to see the whole stadium wearing the same color. *I recommend tailgating beforehand in the Sigma Sigma Commons. There is usually a ton of people drinking, hanging out, and reliving their college "glory days". *I have no idea about rules for what you can and can't bring in to the stadium. I do know that there is no glass bottles, so if you sneak any of that stuff in, make sure its plastic. * I also have no idea as to concession stand costs, but assume they are par for the course with most college stadiums. *As far as parking goes, I always park a little far away on the streets and this helps keep me out of the nasty post game traffic. *This stadium is always open except when it is used for practices. That means you can go on the field and just play (lots of people throw frisbee/footballs), run, or watch the practice. How cool is that? No go run some stairs!!

Bill E.

Yelp
As Brian Kelly has stated Nippert Stadium is the Wrigley field of college football. This is a really old stadium, but there is no bad seat in the house. Sure the pavilion can get crowded with lines for your favorite beverage or food, but just a great place to watch a college football game, especially when the Bearcats are winning like they are now. The Bearcats really should play all there home games here and not at PBS, here gives them such a huge crowd advantage especially from the student section which I can proudly say I have been a part of the past few years. Sure parking can be a hassle, but I always get free on street parking and while I might have to walk a half mile or whatever nothing beats getting into the stadium and hearing OH-OH-OH- Lets go UC.

Bob F.

Yelp
OOOO oohhhh OOOO oohhhh ::clap clap clap clap:: UC!!! If you are here and you don't here that chant going, it's a damn shame. This is one of the best football stadiums in college football. It is a tad small and whoever designed the small concession areas obviously didn't expect the team get as good as they have. But aside from that, totally worth it. The roar from 30,000 fans that close is amazing. They have an excellent selection of beer too. Wait, what? Beer? At a college event? Oh yes. Cincinnati is German through and through and you can't take our beer away from us. And if you only get a chance to get down here for any of the other events hosted here like some of the high school football games, that's ok too. Just an excellent place to watch fooball!

Tim S.

Yelp
I love when a college football stadium is right in the heart of campus, and Nippert Stadium is no exception. For pregame, there was so much going on. It was neat just to walk around and see the marching band performing over here, and over there are families enjoying games and bouncy castles. Everyone was in high spirits. Before the game we ate in a restaurant that's just beyond the north end zone. There's good food & beverage selection in there and a lot of tables. We sat in the upper deck, but still felt like we were very close to the action on the field. Our seats were unfortunately just bleachers without backrests. The east side of the stadium has a much larger concourse with space for fans to walk around comfortably. We took a loop of the stadium and by the time you get to the west side of the stadium, you're walking single file in very cramped quarters. Stay away from that side if you have any sense.

Devin C.

Yelp
There are only a few stadiums who can claim a rich history of football similar to UC's Nippert Stadium. The fourth oldest playing site and the fifth oldest stadium, Nippert Stadium is one of a kind. While the stadium is small comparatively to other Division I schools, especially in a BCS program, Nippert has an atmosphere that could rival most stadiums in the country. One of the most amazing things about this stadium is how it is literally in the middle of UC's campus. There are gorgeous buildings all around, making this football stadium feel like it is in a particularly urban setting. Because the stadium is small, there is hardly a bad seat in the house. Fans who are up front are quite close to the game. UC students are allowed to use Nippert Stadium when the field isn't in use for athletic events (games or training). This makes for a wonderful study spot or place to play a game of pick up football. The concession areas are small, and the bathrooms are a little spread out for my taste, but this is what you receive with older stadiums. Nippert Stadium should be one place to visit if you're from the Cincy area. Whether it is at a game or not, the aura surrounding the stadium is just something to experience.

Jordan C.

Yelp
While UC basketball is in a rebuilding phase, Bearcat football emerged last season with arguably its best season in school history. If the Bearcats keep this up, they might need to think about a new stadium, because last season tickets were hot at the long time UC home known as James Gamble Nippert Stadium. With three sellouts in the last four home games, 35,000 seats doesn't seem to be enough for UC anymore. The Bearcats have played at Nippert Stadium since 1902, making it the fifth-oldest college football venue in the country. UC played its first game in 1902 at what was then known as Carson Field, but it was dedicated in 1924 as James Gamble Nippert Stadium following the death of former player Jimmy Nippert (grandson of P&G's James Gamble), according to GoBearcats.com. In 1991, the press box was added and the current capacity of 35,000 was also reached with the addition of Shank Pavilion, the upper deck level on the East side of the stadium. The Varsity Village renovations in 2005 brought new and improved seating in the North endzone, as well as new locker rooms, a huge scoreboard with video screen, and FieldTurf. Nippert Stadium also served as the home of the Cincinnati Bengals in 1968, while it currently is the home turf for high school powerhouse Moeller. It's a very nice stadium for its size, and the atmosphere is great on game day, but it's about time for the Bearcats to be thinking upgrade.

Karly S.

Yelp
I love being a Bearcat and going to the Stadium for football games! I love being a Bearcats! This is my 4th year at UC!

Dana A.

Yelp
Went here for the Nippert "grand re-opening" and it was really nice. It is a smaller stadium compared to the only other two I have been in (The Big House and The Swamp). I liked how small it was, all the fans were really friendly, it felt like home. It was very clean (of course it is brand spanking new). You can drink beer here which is cool. The restrooms were clean and I didn't have to walk far. Our seats were really good. Even though it had been raining everyone was really happy. It would definitely be a good place to take kids to a college game. Not chaotic at all and very easy to navigate. There are lots of restaurants within a very short walking distance (less than 10 minutes) on Calhoon and McMillian streets. The campus is also very beautiful if you get a chance to walk around. Can't wait to go back!

Robert L.

Yelp
I graduated from University of Cincinnati and my parents are professors here at the university so I could be bias but this is a great venue for sports. It's not a large stadium by college football stadiums but its designed really well. I love to games here both UC football and now Cincinnati FC. UC Bearcats fans are not as rabid and intense as some other schools, its a more chilled out atmosphere. If you from Ohio or the Cincinnati Area or another away fan that wants to catch a game, you should do it this is a really cool place to watch a game. It is a historic stadium because its one of the oldest stadiums in the country for college football.

Spencer P.

Yelp
The oldest college football stadium in the country. The atmosphere is thunderous and with all the new renovations has become a beautiful art piece. A must go to for any football fan.

Steve S.

Yelp
Great Stadium located in the heart of the University. Every seat in the house has a great view and the atmosphere at game time is electrifying. I would recommend attending at least one game if you live in the Cincinnati or are visiting. Tickets are affordable and the football program is growing, ranked in the top 25 for the last few years. With the school having three players in the draft this year I can only see the program getting better in the future. Go Bearcats!

Rob J.

Yelp
No better environment for the Bearcats to play. It's unfortunate that any games have been played at PBS. Hopefully the money can be found in the future to make some necessary upgrades to the space.

Katie B.

Yelp
Experiencing a UC Football game is like no other. with the stadium in the heart of the campus the Bearcat pride in the crowd is second to none. can't wait for the new stadium to be finished! Roar

Brian W.

Yelp
I was at the FC Cincinnati game and waited 30 minutes in line at the concession stand. Very disappointed they need to allow bottled water to be brought in or find a way to speed it up. I missed the fist half waiting to get a drink.

Troy S.

Yelp
I Recently went to the UC Temple game at Nippert. The stadium itself was the main attraction for me, as it is one of the oldest in the nation. Make no mistake, the venue itself is pretty good: with only about 34k seats, there really isn't a bad one in the house. I had "limited view" seating and they were great, field level corner end zone seats. I also only paid $10 bucks for them. I also appriciate the rare opportunity to drink at a college game (having gone to OSU and been to a few others, I was tired of drinking pepsi all game). For value and classical college football feel, nippert scores around a 4 star. That being said, it was a laughable college football experience. Keep in mind, this was a nationally televised game on Friday night, and having your program on prime time with no competition should spark some excitement from your fan base. Arriving about 45 minutes prior to kickoff, I was expecting to see a vibrant, crowded tailgate in the area surrounding the stadium, complete with super fans and drunken fight songs. Instead, I saw a scattered and rather indifferent crowd peacefully making their way into the stadium with little sign of tailgate parties having taken place before. The closest thing was a collection of bouncy castles and childrens pickup football games. About 70% of the stadium filled at kickoff. They were doing a "red out" and most fans were in some sort of red, although how hard is it to pack a 34k stadium on national tv? There is only a small student section in one of the end zones, which was full of kids smacking plastic blow up sticks together, not really making much meaningful noise. The fans seemed like they were at a baseball game, not a football game. Cheering and making noise while UC was on offense and silent as the grave when the D took the field. Also, I'm not sure if it was just my section or what, but no one really seemed to pay much attention to the game on the field unless a scoring play happened. Half of the student section left at halftime (still a close game) and the stadium was near empty to start the fourth. It seemed more like a social gathering than a college football game. The food was okay, but nothing special. There was one decent bathroom on my side of the field, otherwise it was portable toilets (really!!!) when nature called. All in all, this seemed more like a high school football game than a division one college football game. This is the same fan base that claimed to rival local powerhouses such as Kentucky, Louisville, and Ohio State. Again, the value is awesome for college football, even the beer is sort of cheap ($7). Just don't get your hopes up to see a good college footbal atmosphere, that is, unless a school with a large, travelling fanbase is visiting.
