Nira Alpina

We have been coming to Nira Alpina for 10 years now and it’s been a delightful experience every time. Claudia and her team had been incredibly welcoming (shout out to Giannis). The rooms are spacious, great amenities including free use of the spa (sauna, steam room, various water features) and incredibly talented therapists. The included breakfast is generous, varied and delicious. Easy access to the slopes, connected to the Corvatsch gondola. The discounted lift tickets also give you access to Corviglia and free access to the bus network. Convenient parking if driving or free shuttle from the train station if coming from Zurich city or the airport. The hotel is located in Silvaplana, which is a cute village with many restaurant options, but also it is very easy to drive 10 min or take the bus to the main town in St. Moritz, where there is shopping and even more restaurant options. For ski rental, SkiService Corvatsch is an amazing shop right next to the hotel - we own our skis and get them serviced there every few years, as they are experts. Nira Alpina has it all, and is truly one of our favorite places to come.

Nira Alpina is a masterclass in modern Alpine luxury; thoughtful, intimate, and impeccably run. From the seamless train station transfers to the serene rhythm of daily life at the hotel, every detail feels considered. Its ski-in/ski-out location, directly connected to the Corvatsch tram station, is hard to beat, offering effortless access to the mountain. Breakfast was exceptional, and dinners at Stars were refined and memorable. The cocktail program, curated by Sabrina, was a standout! Beautifully composed drinks that linger well beyond the final sip. What truly distinguishes Nira Alpina, however, is the people. The staff radiate genuine warmth and pride in their work, creating an atmosphere that feels both polished and deeply human. A small note for future guests: the hotel offers a selection of pillows, which we would have welcomed earlier, and a larger waste bin arrived toward the end of our stay. These were minor oversights in an otherwise exceptional experience, one we would happily repeat without hesitation.

Hotel with very good restaurants and a fantastic bar, extremely friendly staff and very clean rooms.Ideal for skiing and hiking...you don't have to leave the hotel to get to the cable car that will take you up the mountain. However, the hotel's spa area, which is well equipped and structured, is accessible to children until 5:30 p.m., but guests... do not respect the fact that there are children inside and pose naked,without any embarrassment towards the little boys and girls inside who may be shocked. Avoid using it if you want to participate with children... and avoid aggression towards the child.

From the moment your train arrives in St. Moritz and Nira Alpina picks you up, you are in for a real treat. Every single employee who works here embodies true customer service and care. We enjoyed eating at Stars and the Fondue Popup on Wednesday, the massages and spa area were excellent and the staff were highly responsive and attentive. We were able to rent gear right next to the hotel and get a $47 lift pass from the front desk which made impromptu skiing easy. Claudia, the general manager, remembered every detail of every person and employee in the hotel and was genuinely thoughtful and caring at every turn of the trip. I cannot recommend this place more highly.

We stayed at Nira Alpina over the New Year’s. The place is just wonderful, every single person of the staff is helpful, friendly and with a smile on their faces. The kids club and their staff was adored by our children. The food was delicious and the breakfast room has spectacular views over the valley and the mountains. The best of all, the ski slope is at your doorstep.

Great hotel located right next to the ski lifts. It is one of the very few true ski in ski out properties in the area. The hotel is about 10 to 15 minutes from St Moritz, which makes it a much better value compared to the overpriced options in town.||There is a beginner slope right next to the hotel, which is perfect if you are just starting to ski. The wider ski area is better suited to intermediate skiers, with mostly red runs. That said, this hotel is also fantastic for non skiers, with incredible views, easy access to winter hikes, and beautiful walks straight from the doorstep.||The hotel has two restaurants. Prices are on the higher side, as expected in Switzerland, but the quality of food is excellent. The staff were outstanding, very friendly and knowledgeable, and gave us great recommendations throughout our stay.||Overall, I would definitely choose this hotel again over staying in St Moritz. You get unbeatable views, direct access to skiing and outdoor activities, and a much more relaxed and authentic alpine experience.

Right at the gondola. Excellent property. Excellent service. Comfortable rooms. The hotel staff said yes to every request we made. An exceptional 4-day stay. I highly recommend this property.

Ideally located directly opposite the ski lift to the Corvatsch 3303 peak, the hotel preserves a warm, family-style atmosphere, with managers who remember each guest and are always ready to help. Easy access to other ski areas and St. Moritz. Spacious parking for guests. Special thanks to Giannis, whom I have known for 12 years — an exceptional professional in hotel management and genuine guest care.

The service by Yiannis in reception makes me love this place and makes me feel at home. The food is also very good and best scrambled eggs! Would definitely be back. I hear the SPA is really good, haven´t tried it. Library in hotel is beautiful! Everything is very calm, clean and good energy hotel.
