We had a wonderful stay at this resort. The property is beautifully maintained, with lush surroundings and a very relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, offering great comfort throughout our stay. The staff were exceptionally warm, courteous, and always ready to help with a smile. Food was delicious with a good variety of options, and the amenities like the pool and common areas were well maintained. Overall, it was a perfect getaway to unwind and recharge. Highly recommended for families and couples alike!

We had a wonderful stay! The service was excellent, and the scenery is just beautiful. We really enjoyed the swimming pool, and the breakfast was absolutely awesome with a great variety. A major highlight was the Ayurvedic massage—it was truly outstanding, and I feel better than ever. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!

Soft lighting, tranquil surroundings, and exceptional service created an unforgettable experience. Dining and thoughtfully curated cuisine added to the romance, while the attentive yet unobtrusive staff ensured everything was flawless. An ideal destination to celebrate love and create timeless memories.

This place is right in the lap of nature. If you want serenity, this is the best property to be. The staff is polite and quiet helpful. The rooms and the amenities like pool etc definitely require renovation. While the ambience is marvelous, the below par upkeep of the property makes you feel that you didn't get your moneys worth. A 3.5 for me, I paid 16.5k per night, while the food and hospitality was awesome, for that much, I was expecting the property to be much more well maintained.

Once upon a time this was a lovely upmarket small hotel owned by Relais and Chateaux (you can still see the remains of the branding). I suspect that the photos on the website that enticed us to book date back to those days. Sadly it is now, as others have commented, quite tired (think worn scratched floors, paint missing, tiles cracked, rust showing on metalwork etc). We nevertheless really enjoyed our stay. Our room was good enough with a decent bed and linen, plenty of space,a good shower, it was well cleaned and had a wonderful balcony looking out over a cardamom plantation and across the valley. Watching the monkeys swing through the lovely tall trees right by us one evening was a trip highlight. The gardens are lovely and nicely maintained, the food was great and the staff helpful and welcoming. We didn't find the drive up too difficult and it was a small price to pay for the lovely location. The room rate was probably about right being c 30% less than we might have paid if the property was properly sorted. We would rather have paid more and had the hotel advertised on the website but still don't regret our choice.

Our recent family stay at Niraamaya Retreat, Thekkady was truly delightful. Traveling as a group of nine, including two children, we found the experience exceptionally warm and welcoming. The property itself is serene and beautifully maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and nature. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant—always attentive, friendly, and eager to help with any request. The children especially enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and personalized care. Overall, we had a wonderful time and left with happy memories. Niraamaya Retreat is a great choice for a relaxing family getaway.

Stayed with my family of 9 at the property Date of stay : 07/12/25 to 08/12/25 Positive: 1.Manager of the property very helping and pleasing(That's the only reason I rated 2star) My little one Bdy was celebrated at the property, manager made sure all arrangement is perfect. 2.Food was very good. The below mentioned negative review I have already mentioned in the property feedback form as well. Negative: 1.The room maintenance was poor. 2.The property’s location and the condition of the road leading to it were not good. 3.The pool was not cleaned, even after informing the staff. 4.Room service staff did not show up despite raising a request. 5.The property did not offer a good view. 6.The path from the reception to the room was very steep and lacked proper steps or transfer facilities.

Unforgettable Stay at Niramaya Thekady – Huge Thanks to Parakash! My stay at Niramaya Thekady was amazing, and a big part of that was thanks to Parakash, who went above and beyond to help me book all my sightseeing and reservations. I came in with no clue, and he made my trip smooth, fun, and truly memorable. The food was delicious, the property is serene, and the drive to the hotel was an adventure in itself – I drove myself and absolutely loved the winding roads and scenic turns. Highly recommend Niramaya, and if you meet Parakash, know you're in great hands. 100% recommended!
