This is the most amazing place i have ever stayed. A truly magical retreat surrounded by beautiful rice field! The staff are incredibly warm and authentic, making you feel at home instantly. Rooms are spacious, clean, and beautifully integrated with nature. The atmosphere is peaceful, perfect for relaxation and self-reflection. They have 2 daily meditation classes, which are free to attend.

This place was a wellness oasis! You really become one with nature when you stay here with the beautiful views (and the bathroom being outdoors). The rooms were very spacious and had wonderful views of the gardens around. The beds were also very comfortable. The room is open at the roof to the patio so bugs will come in and out. We also had a little gecko friend sleeping in the closet with us. This was the one hotel we really did need to use the net on the bed but even still, got bit by a couple of mosquitoes. The shower had an opening at the top to the outside so that was another area that you had to be careful in. The breakfast was very good for it being included with the stay. The restaurant had breathtaking views of the valley and river below. I would recommend this stay for those who want to prioritize an environment that feels closer to nature and isn’t looking for something overly luxurious!

One of the most profound experiences I have had at Nirarta Center ! It felt like home. Truly one of the most amazing stays, and the most welcoming and friendly staff! The food is just amazing and they have the most fresh ingredients. Gluten free options available , Vegan Food, then most delicious breakfast. Meditation , Yoga , and different mindful practices are also available at the retreat center. They have a wonderful shala for hosting retreats and hosting any kinds of programs and activities. The place is surrounded with nature and beauty. It is the most peaceful place I have been to in Bali. I recommend this center to every living soul on this planet. 💚✨ Oh and they have a beautiful river pass to explore and have a swim.

Stayed 2 nights occupying 2 rooms in what was effectively a 2 story house with separate entrances to upstairs and downstairs rooms. Large stylish rooms with big balcony/ terrace and great views from upstairs. Comfy bed but could do with side tables and lamps.|Extensive grounds overlooking valley and very quiet. Good location in offshoot village to Sidemen close to several restaurants and lots of good walks.|Good breakfast ( not buffet) with healthy options that we didn't get elsewhere in Indonesia. Also had one dinner and lunch at restaurant which has wonderful panoramic view - both fine if not outstanding and there are many other eateries to choose from a short walk away.|Overall, this is a good choice if you are after somewhere scenic and quiet and are not worried about having a pool even if (like us) you do not come for the meditation.

Set in really beautiful grounds, with stream fed irrigation watering their own paddy fields, a huge variety of plant life, butterflies, and at night a chorus of crickets, frogs and the like calling each and reacquainting friendships. The buildings are set apart so there is a great sense of space (there are various standards of room; we ended up with two, one a basic with a very small double bed, still with wonderful views; and a second much larger room with big bed and big views). From our bedroom we had 360 views of the amazing Sideman hills and rice fields. Go before it’s criss-crossed with hotels and restaurants. ||The hotel is set in an offshoot of Sideman within rolling fields and hills. It’s on a dead end road so you won’t be disturbed by the far off traffic. Sideman really is the beautiful Bali that first got folks visiting the island all those years ago. ||It’s a retreat but I’m not into those vibes and the hotel plays that low key. That’s great, because you can come just to stay (there is a lovely building for yoga). ||The restaurant isn’t really a go to for lunch or the evening, it’s kind of just there, they could perhaps make more of it as it’s very modern and has simply amazing views (and the food was fairly good, not amazing though). If they upped the ante on the food I think it could be one of the best spots and could be a go to restaurant in its own right. ||Breakfast was so so. It’s a common issue - it’s western focussed rather than providing local food, and the western food isn’t that greatly prepared or presented: banana pancake, egg on bread. If you’re going to go western go full hog: smoothie bowls in coconut shells, overflowing tacos that sort of thing. Although when a meditation group arrived the breakfast got better (toast with jam) so they not only bought zen with them but an improvement in the chefs work!||Owner was very helpful. Lent us 100k when we didn’t have enough money to pay the taxi driver on arrival (make sure you bring plenty cash with you if you intend on using cash as the effort to get to an ATM that accepts an ordinary European Mastercard is not worth the effort). Also organised organised oat milk (needed as daughter can’t do diary).

Nirarta is heaven on earth. We stayed there for about a week and it was absolutely lovely. The environment is very calm so for us it was the perfect place to get some rest while making day trips by motorcycle around the Sidemen area. The rooms are very spacious, clean, beautiful, and each have an amazing view. The staff is super friendly and the food is delicious ánd healthy. The owners are very helpful and friendly as well. I also enjoyed the free meditation in the mornings, guided by the owner Peter. We enjoyed our stay here so much and will definitely be back!

I wanted to get away from the business of South Bali and stayed at Nirarta Centre for Living Awareness in their secluded river cottage. ||||It was absolutely beautiful with amazing energy. Totally surrounded by nature and the soothing sound of the river. It was paradise!||||The energy of this place is very special. ||||I had wonderful days in my secluded area. I enjoyed bathing in the sacred river, exploring the beautiful property and gardens, and watching all the beautiful butterflies and birds from the sitting area.||||The staff were very kind and attentive and even brought me breakfast to my room way down the hill. Excellent service, good food and beautiful environment.||||I wish I could have stayed longer. This was truly a wonderful and beautiful experience in the "real Bali".||||Thank you so much Dayu & Staff!
