"A Jaipur Classic Today’s Jaipur buzzes with plenty of modern restaurants serving international cuisine, but that wasn’t always the case—when Niros, which first opened in 1949, started serving Chinese fare in the 1960’s, for example, it was the first place in town to do so. Now, going on its seventh decade, the place is still a favorite for its classic décor, attentive service, and extensive menu, which takes you from northern Indian standbys like chicken tikka masala and veggie curries to dumplings, stir-frys, omelettes, and even mushroom stroganoff, as well as Indo-Chinese items like fried paneer in Sichuan sauce. There are extensive choices for both veg and non-veg diners, while the kids should like the old-school sweets like American Ice Cream Sodas and Knicker Bocker Glory sundaes."

I read online that from around 1949, Niros is serving authentic rajasthani dishes. But really experienced the authentic vibe when visited Niros recently and honestly, this place just hits different. It’s one of those rare restaurants that hasn’t tried to reinvent itself for Instagram, and I’m glad it hasn’t. The moment you walk in, you can feel the age, the history, and that old Jaipur charm. Nothing feels forced or modernized—it’s just… original. Ordered the laal maas, and it did not disappoint. Properly spicy, deep flavours, and not watered down at all. This is the kind of dish that tells you they know exactly what they’re doing. Paired it with different rotis, and each one was done well—fresh, soft, and perfect for soaking up that gravy. Service is calm and old-school, not rushing you, not overdoing anything. You can actually sit, eat slowly, and enjoy the meal without feeling like you’re in a commercial place. If you’re in Jaipur and want to experience authentic Rajasthani food in a setting that still feels real and untouched, Niros is absolutely worth visiting. It feels like eating at a place that has seen generations, and that’s rare these days.

Pretty good place with top-notch service. The staff was very professional. I wouldn’t call it outstanding, but food was definitely better than most places I’ve tried in Jaipur. This 75-year-old establishment has a lovely ambience, with beautiful murals on the walls and yellow tablecloths that add to its charm. The place was completely full, which speaks for its popularity. The food was good, and overall, it was a very enjoyable evening. However, it is a little expensive and not really pocket-friendly for regular meals.

Pink city has much to offer depends what one is looking for however smooth indulgence in traditional ‘Laal Maas’ is yours, then don't look further; it's delicious, juicy, and warm, spicy curry adds to the experience. Service is exceptional too. highly recommended.

The restaurant is famous for Lal Maans (spicy mutton curry). We had it with a couple of butter rotis. It tasted good but was quite expensive. After all, it's a fancy restaurant. The service, seating, and ambience is good.

A famous food joint frequented by locals, tourists and foreigners alike, won't disappoint in food, service or ambience departments, although somewhat pricy, and could be crowded in prime hours affecting wait times. Serves alcohol also, so that you can relax after a long tiring site seeing visit of fabulous Jaipur. Recommend.

We visited Niros first time. We ordered Rajasthani Sula, Lal Maas and Tandori. Really, Rajasthani Sula is not very soft just 9 tandoor boonless mutton pieces. Some pieces were not properly cooked. In the case of Laal Mass, we didn’t get authentic taste. Previously, we ate laal maas multiple times. But, this taste was not authentic (I may be wrong). Tandoori was good but not as good they charged. Price is too expensibe than proportion. Mutton was not best quality. I cannot find there anything special.

Our guide recommended Niros as an authentic restaurant with good food. He was right! This 75 year old establishment had a really nice ambience with beautiful murals on the wall, yellow table cloths. Every table was filled. The food was delicious - and it was a really enjoyable evening.

Pretty good place. Serving was top notch. Very professional. Ordered Laal Maas, Punjabi paneer tikka, Mutton seekh kebab. The curry was typically Niros. Won't say, awesome but definitely better than the most I've had. My fav still remains at Udaipur 1559 AD Cafe. Paneer n Seekh were fresh marinated n rightly spiced.
