"Niseko United is a massive mountain made up of four interconnected resorts on the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido. It is renowned for its unique dry and fluffy powder snow, created by cold air from the Eurasian continent flowing over the warm currents of the Sea of Japan. By the end of February 2024, the mountain had received more than 270 inches of snow, making it a prime destination for skiers. The interconnected layout of the resorts makes the extensive terrain feel accessible, with runs for every level, including 25% advanced black runs, 34% intermediate red runs, and 41% beginner green runs. There are 31 lifts, including several gondolas, and each resort offers its own ski and snowboard lessons." - Alison Fox Alison Fox Alison Fox is a Travel + Leisure contributor.
