Small but surrounded by beautiful nature

The ruins of Nishio Castle are located in the south of Mikawa plain, Aichi Prefecture, the former Mikawa Province. Nishio Castle was originally built in 1221. At the end of the sixteenth century, TANAKA Yoshimasa became the castle lord of Nishio Castle. He rebuilt Nishio Castle as an early-modern castle.

Tiny, but cute! Entrance to this tower is free (remove your shoes), and entrance to the museum next door is also free (but no information in English). If you can’t read Japanese, you can look around both in under 15mins, but they’re nice.
