This was a hard one to review i obviously enjoyed my time there because i was watching my favourite team, but the actual stadium was a bit sub par. On the website there was strict rules on the bringing in of food and drink, which we later on realised we should’ve just brought in as their was no bag checks and it was 30+ degrees Celsius. This would’ve been ok had there of been lots of refreshments stalls located around the arena or even lots of japans beloved vending machines but there was not. I must say it was borderline dangerous the conditions some people were in due to extreme water loss in the heat and no way to get drinks. When half time hit the cue to the very few (we’re talking less than 6 for a stadium of 67,000 people) refreshments stalls understandably had monstrous cues, so long that it was impossible for everyone to get drinks before half time ended which ment fans were having to make the choice between seeing their beloved team or suffering from heat stroke. I truly see no reason why it is set up like this, they must be losing out on money with this as I know people were desperate to buy stuff. The arena seating is perfectly fine but it’s a bit awkward when it comes to the pitch due to the wide running track that runs around the arena, which for a multipurpose stadium that is mainly used for football feels like a design flaw but that really was the least of my worries. I can’t comment on the food and drink quality as I never got a chance to get any. With just a handful more refreshment stalls this would’ve been a lovely arena as it was such an amazing space, but it’s hard to appreciate that when you’re severely dehydrated.

With a capacity of over 70,000 seats, this is the largest stadium in Japan and the home stadium of Yokohama F Marinos. It takes about 15 minutes walk from Shin-Yokohama station, and there are many restaurants, cafes and convenience stores between the station and the stadium.

One of the largest football stadiums with a capacity of 75,000. There are plenty of food trucks and takeaway food stores. There is no roof over the 1st to 19th row, so keep your eyes on the weather before you book.

Nice stadium built for track. A little far away for soccer but great food and a great atmosphere.

Paid a lot of money for Liverpool tickets and arrived at the ground to find half of the food and drink outlets were closed. It was extremely hot and humid and there was literally no where to get water without joining a huge queue that didn’t seem to move. I joined the queue at 6:15 and was still waiting at 7:15. I gave up. I don’t know why this was so badly organised with the stadium management knowing that 65,000 tickets had been sold. It was dangerous not to provide supporters with the ability to easily get water. It definitely put a dampener on watching my team for the first time in 12 years.

Brilliant stadium, so much for fans to do and options to eat and very easily accessible from Shin Yokohama, atmosphere is great. Views from the seats are not great is the only downside. Also since no one mentioned and I wondered before, there are no bag restrictions, many people brought in huge backpacks and there were no issues at all

2023.04.08 Watched a great game at the Stadium. We were a bit late for the food trucks outside as there were many people queueing for everything. Tourists should be there at least three hours before the game to enjoy the atmosphere and food. The food we bought were very good! Make sure you don't miss the player introduction in night games. Amazing light effect. The fan were superb all night. The stadium is so big.
