We spent a week at Nita By Vo, during our first visit to Cambodia - it definitely won’t be the last. It is a smaller hotel, but this ensured a level of personal service that we haven’t encountered elsewhere. It gave us the chance to get to to know the staff and without exception they were excellent - always ready with a smile and welcome.||We were met at the airport by the friendly and efficient Mr Chan. . He and the reception team were full of advice and ideas on what to do during our stay, helping us to make arrangements. They arranged an excellent tuk tuk driver ( Mr Sophen) who provided transport for us throughout the week. He provided clear directions on where he would pick us up during our visits to the various temples and sites was always ready with chilled water or a beer during breaks in our exploring. ||The hotel’s location was perfect for us. It is in a quieter area - away from the madness of Pub Street, but close to the temples at Angkor. There are lots of shops and restaurants in the immediate area. Tuk tuks are cheap and plentiful, so it was very easy to get around.||The roof top swimming pool is lovely and a great place to relax at the end of a long day. Our room was large, comfortable and very clean. Internet is excellent.||||Many staff members are learning English, so occasionally things were lost in translation - but it was never an issue - there was always someone around with whom we could communicate. ||We always gauge a hotel on whether we would return and in this case we would definitely do so. By the end of our stay the staff here felt more like friends - we were sad to leave! We have travelled extensively, but the kindness and hospitality we encountered here really stands out. ||We are now staying in a large corporate hotel in Bangkok, but unlike Nita By Vo, it has no soul. We already miss our base in Siem Reap and its wonderful staff.
