NIVERA il gelato di natura

I have spent 2 weeks in Sicily, visiting different towns across the island and trying out gelato in each of them. For me this place is the best one! It has very unique flavours of gelato that I have not seen anywhere else and gelato itself is very smooth and silky. it was the only place where I returned for second portion :) and the staff is super cool!

Top ingredients make top gelato and granita. Less sweet than elsewhere, which is our preference, we really like the taste of fruit, nuts and any ingredient shining through. Grazie!

Both the gelato and the granita were outstanding. This is a small artisanal laboratory, they really use the highest quality ingredients. The flavour selection was fantastic. I'd have one every day if I could. Complimenti!

Small cute ice cream shop on the main pedestrian road in Scicli. Loads of flavours to choose from. They are milk based ice cream, fruit sorbets and also some vegan options. They have brioche, granite, ice cream, yogurt and fruit, cannoli siciliani, water and coffee. The staff was nice and the ice cream super tasty. The place is quite small and there are stairs to access the shop so not ideal with strollers or prams. They have a few indoor seatings and a number of outdoor seatings. They don’t have a toilet but they have a basin (if you need to was turn hands). They accept pets. Average price point.

The food itself was good and the place is really nice looking! But I give only 3 stars because everything is served with one-way plastic cups or spoons. I think nowadays it is important to reduce plastic waste and pay attention on sustainability. Additionally reusable cups (like ceramic) and spoons are also nicer and benefit the experience of eating delicious food.

Great ice cream — strawberry was divine.

One of the best ice creams I've tasted, you can really notice the craftsmanship of both the ice cream and the brioche. The friendly staff goes the extra mile to complete the tasting experience. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Most amazing granita and gelato ever. The granita al pistacchio di bronte was to die for; a dessert on its own. They have very particular gelato flavors all based on local ingredients using a lot of almonds, pistacchi, and ricotta. A must try!
