NIVERA il gelato di natura

VERY good artisanal ice-cream. I’ve enjoyed the most the one with ricotta&figs. Must try when in Scicli!! Will not be disappointed. P.s.: the canoli are 🤩. The cream is out of this world. Yum yum!

We have been travelling in Sicily and I had the best gelato here. I had several fravors and my favorite was Moscato. Definitely I will come back to taste more flavors.

I have spent 2 weeks in Sicily, visiting different towns across the island and trying out gelato in each of them. For me this place is the best one! It has very unique flavours of gelato that I have not seen anywhere else and gelato itself is very smooth and silky. it was the only place where I returned for second portion :) and the staff is super cool!

I really liked the fact that they use a saisonal calendera and only use fruit that is in season. So you might not always find the same flavours and I think that is a good thing that we need go get used to again. We had Granita with pistachio, almond and Jasmin flower. I found the almond and pistachio granita a bit watery compared to some other places but not to sweet. The jasmin/cinnamon/lemon granita Was very special. To some it might taste like perfume or soap but it tasted exactly what the jasmin flower smells like. I am half arab so I am used to soapy flower taste like neroli and rose and I enjoy it really much. So if you are into those perfume like tastes give that granita a try. Atmosphere and view of the baroque town and church is very beautiful, especially after sunset. Take a seat and enjoy. The only downpart is that everything is served in single use plastics and paper. The owner stated it was compostable but like all the "compostable plastics" it still takes energy and effort (more than you would think) to do so and is overall not recommended and not a substitute to ceramics and glasware.

Was not sure how to evaluate but basically the granita limone is super good but also super different from others. More bitter, you can feel also green pieces/zest. Not at all a bad granita, actually super good for those who prefer it but it is different! Il gelo di limone was amazing.

Small cute ice cream shop on the main pedestrian road in Scicli. Loads of flavours to choose from. They are milk based ice cream, fruit sorbets and also some vegan options. They have brioche, granite, ice cream, yogurt and fruit, cannoli siciliani, water and coffee. The staff was nice and the ice cream super tasty. The place is quite small and there are stairs to access the shop so not ideal with strollers or prams. They have a few indoor seatings and a number of outdoor seatings. They don’t have a toilet but they have a basin (if you need to was turn hands). They accept pets. Average price point.

The food itself was good and the place is really nice looking! But I give only 3 stars because everything is served with one-way plastic cups or spoons. I think nowadays it is important to reduce plastic waste and pay attention on sustainability. Additionally reusable cups (like ceramic) and spoons are also nicer and benefit the experience of eating delicious food.

Exceptional quality ice cream. Very special and original local varieties.
