Updated: Nix did an average job overall at my newly constructed home and I would not recommend them as they have poor customer relations & attention to detail. They neglected to label 3 of the 8 ethernet lines & 1 of the 12 speaker wall panels were missing the wiring. I called to get them to come out to complete the job and their assistant told me they don't always label their wiring and for me to file a warranty claim via the builder or they could come out asap and redo their work and charge me again for it. As of now, Nix is not cooperating the builder to complete the job or take responsibility.

We are going into our 10th year in our home that we had custom built. Our builder had used Nix to supply a beautiful 6 panel Mahogany front door. I am not a current customer and only a prior customer by default (through my builder). Yesterday, June 3, 2020, I had reached out to Nix Door and asked if I could borrow a front door while I resurface the finish on my existing door. Without hesitation Greg had asked for a few measurements, hinge locations, bore for the latch and the size of the door. He let me borrow the door for as long as I needed it for. So after about 10 years and using a marine spar varnish on my Mahogany door and completing yearly door maintenance. The door has very minor cracking at the seems and a few on the raised panels. Those cracks are about 1/32". If I hadn't used a substandard top coat two years ago I wouldn't have had to remove the finish at all. The door faces the South West (almost the worst direction for any door). My Mahogany door still looks amazing after 10 years from Nix with the exception of the minor damage from the sun. After this finish I expect to get another 7 - 10 years out of it. If not Nix Door is where I'll find our new door. Talk about customer service. Something that has seemed to have disappeared from many companies. But not at Nix Door and Hardware. Greg quickly called me back even though I was not a customer and I wanted to borrow a door from them. As a potential future customer, this speaks volumes as to what the staff are like at Nix Door and Hardware. Oh and I was expecting a hollow core door. What I got was an actual exterior (really nice) door. My wife was more at ease knowing that the temporary door has the same security as our actual door. If you are in the market for doors, windows, sky lights, fire places and door hardware and I thought I saw cabinet hardware there too, you really need to check them out. The quality looked from upper mid range to high quality, depending on your budget. Thanks again Greg and Nix Door. Here is an update on the refinished door. As you can see, the door is still in immaculate condition after almost 10 years. Keep in mind that I performed regular maitenance on the original finish. But being that the door faces the Southwest the sun will be brutal on any door. Most doors may only make it 5 years. This is a great testament to the quality of material and cratmenship that goes into the products one can find at Nix Door. The photos are of my reserfaced , almost 10 year old door, that I finished on June 15, 2020. Thanks again Greg and Nix Door.

Scheduled an early as possible appointment and received a phone call that Adrian would be at my home in approximately 30 minutes. Adrian arrived almost to the minute. He spent just a few minutes diagnosing the problem and was able to fix in just seconds. VERY courteous young man and very careful to vacuum and clean area where he worked on my fireplace. Highly recommend Adrian with Nix to respond and repair a gas fireplace insert. Thank you soo much Adrian!!!

We had a bad noise issue with the fan in our year old beautiful LED electric heat fireplace. Today, Adrian Hernandez came out and replaced the fan and we're back in business. Nice and quiet operation. I want to personally point out that Adrian provided the best customer service that I have seen in a long time. He gave us a call one hour prior to his arrival as requested. He was friendly, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. He made the changeout within an hour, answered all of our questions, cleaned the glass and area when he was done. I'm in a service business and he is the type of tech that any company would greatly benefit from. Thanks NIX for sending Adrian today.

We received great service from Adrian. We just moved into a home we are renovating and we called Nix. We were scheduled in very quickly to have the gas fireplace checked out. Adrian was able to clean, service, start up and give us information about our unit. Great customer service all the way from scheduling to completion.

We purchased a house from Lennar Homebuilders in the Bridgewater community in March 2024. NIX installed our electric fireplace in our living room as a subcontractor for Lennar. When we had been in the home, for six weeks, my family and I were watching TV and we heard a cracking noise and looked over and the interior glass on the fireplace shattered (this piece is locked into place behind the glass piece that we have access to). When we immediately reported this to Lennar, they told us that NIX can cover it under warranty and to reach out to them. We have been playing phone tag for Diamond for a month and finally we were able to discuss this situation today via phone. Diamond and her boss, Josh Allison, stated that the secondary glass piece is not under warranty and essentially we have to replace the entire fireplace at our own expense. WHY? Why do we who just purchased a brand new $400,000 home have to replace a brand new fireplace when the outside of the glass is not broken, meaning that we did not damage the glass. The inside glass shattered. How can we not receive a replacement at their cost? Clearly this was a defective item. Even after I explained to Josh at NIX that we never even turned on the fireplace one time since living in the home and we have only been in this brand new home for 3 months, he said it's not his issue and do I want to take money out of his employee's mouths? Huh?! I want my 3 month old fireplace to work and not be shattered like it is and we should not have to pay for defective glass. Josh said that he could not cover the glass because I could have removed the outer piece of glass and damaged the inside and put the outer piece back on. That makes no sense. We didn't even use the fireplace, but he suggests that we would have done all that to create this issue for ourselves and have a broken fireplace and then go through all this to report it. NIX, do the right thing by your consumers and replace your defective glass.
