No. 14

I am not one to go out of my way to leave negative feedback, but my experience in this store warrants it. I’m not sure how this place operates successfully due to the complete lack of customer service. Me and my husband walked in looking to find a dress for a special occasion, the two ladies behind the register just stared at us. No “hi!”, “welcome!”, nothing. Rarely do I need or ask for help when I’m shopping, but a nice warm initiation goes a long way, or even a “let me know if I can help you with anything!”. Instead, we were made to feel like we shouldn’t even be in the store. We didn’t even get a “have a nice day!” on the way out. You never know who is shopping in your store, and who will turn into a returning customer. The most important part of owning a small business is the customer service. Nice merchandizing and marked up Amazon clothing will only get you so far for so long. Definitely a lot to learn here in terms of service, won’t ever be back.

Great chic boutique! So cute and the ladies were nice and friendly. Loved it. I was visiting and took an Uber to the boutique. A bit outside of downtown but worth the drive. The available selection was diverse and good quality. The fall merchandise was very nice and perfect for the season transition.

For anyone thinking of ordering online from out of town, DONT. Their sizes are all over the place and don’t measure true to size even though their sizing charts online say they do. No one at the store even seems to care. I have messaged the store on three separate occasions asking if I could come in and swap out sizes when I am road tripping through Pittsburg and they never respond. They definitely read the messages because they post on their Instagram stories responding to other peoples messages about “how wonderful their clothes are” but they aren’t willing to help out someone from out of town just trying to find their right size. For the record, I have always been a small my whole adult life, I ordered two sweaters, a skirt and two dresses in my order all in a small. One sweater fits, the other is tighter than spandex, both dresses I can’t do up at all, and the skirt is absolutely huge. Like I said, sizing is all over the charts.

What an amazing boutique. Their selection is so classy!! We always purchase for each season and get so much wear out of each wardrobe piece. I highly recommend stopping in!!

Just stopped in today! The store is absolutely beautiful very neat and organized. The sales woman was super sweet and very helpful.

Beautiful selection of clothes and really organized! I just can’t fathom the price of these pieces. Every single dress is priced over $100. I know good denim jeans aren’t cheap, but $120 PER jeans is so upsetting. Basically don’t walk in here without expecting to drop $500 for just 5 pieces 🙁

Really cute boutique with great brands. I am local to Pittsburgh and do some shopping in person and a lot online - their customer service is top notch. Anytime I've had to reach out, I receive a super quick response and they continue to keep tabs on my issue until it's resolved. It's easy to do business with them knowing they care about their customer's experiences.

I bought a lovely dress at No. 14 boutique today. The shop is beautiful, clean. and organized. The women that works here is not welcoming or kind. She treated me like I was annoying, too young, and a burden. When an older women walked in after me she was greeted and given a fitting room. I work retail and this is not how customers should be treated. The only reason I bought anything was because the dress was stunning. If it wasn't for the dress I wouldn't have gotten anything. I will not be returning. I guess I should have worn diamonds and drove a Mercedes LOL.

Beautiful social media presence and love the idea of the founders being Mom and Daughter. please do yourself a favor and don't buy from this company, their customer service is horrible! They don't ever respond your emails for weeks, phone call was answered but very dismissive. They want your money but customer service socks!

No. 14....what can I sayyyyyy?!!!! This is a really great boutique to satisfy your style cravings...of which I have these ev.er.re.day!!!!! You walk in and your confronted with a fabulous setup, great merchandising, and friendly and really helpful salespeople! I'm never disappointed when I go there, except I wish they had longer hours, but that's Pittsburgh for you. No complaints, but plenty of praise for the owners. The lines they carry are mostly mainstream, but they definitely have an eye for what's trendy. I'd like to see more independent and local designers in the store, but my style cravings are sated and No. 14 definitely has me always coming back to see the new goodies, and this former Illadelphia stylist is totally pleased with them!

Will not be back. Cute clothes though rather expensive. What discourages me from returning is the snobbery and poor customer service. I should not feel like I am a bother when entering a store. I recommend Hazel Gray Boutique where they treat you like you are the only customer and have equally, if not superior, quality of clothing.

I wanted to love this place. The space is beautiful, but I have to agree with the other reviewers saying that the workers were extremely snobby and didn't even say anything to us when we came in. The most they did was smirk and look us up and down. Would never go back!

I love this little shop. It's the best place to go if you need any kind of outfit for an event, particularly a wedding or a nice night out. They have tons of options and you can ship easily online or visit them in person. They ship SUPER fast and are incredibly reliable. Prices are a bit high for the quality of some of the clothes but overall it's a great place to go for clothing and accessories.

Let's be honest, I'm clearly not always a fan of businesses opening up in what I consider gentrification. With that said, I've loved this place since they've opened. The decor/set up is inviting, cozy and a bit on the shabby chic side which I adore. They have pieces that I feel like you can't really find anywhere else in the city. It seems the store is very meticulous in what they choose to carry. Some things are pricey because we're talking designer but others are reasonable and what you'd expect to pay at a big box store but instead you're supporting a small, local business. I've never bought anything here for myself but have made several purchases for my daughter and friends for birthdays, holidays, etc. Even if you just pop in for a look-see, trust me you won't walk out empty handed.

What a darling and cool designed boutique clothing store! The 2014 Cookie Tour brochure described the store as "a trendy feminine boutique offering clothing, gifts and refurbished furniture." Although I did not really pick up on the refurbished furniture aspect of the store, it might be because I was captured by the cool clothing and even cooler design and layout of the space. The owner clearly put a lot of thought and time into the design of this store and its space. Funky, edgy, feminine, reasonably priced. I walked out with a great modern cut, black leather like vest with a furry black inside. It is a unique item I am glad to add to my wardrobe.

Great store and experience! Was excited to finally get to the actual store as I've been an online fan for a while but wanted to actually try items on. Many more items in store than I expected. Cute as can be and so clean and crisp! The owner was there and gave me some tips and helped me find some great pieces. Good brands and priced appropriately.

The second I stepped in I automatically gasped at how beautiful the interior was! It was STUNNING. I went in here to just browse, and found a top I absolutely loved but sadly it did not fit my body as I have a really large chest. The sales associate was honest and asked me if I would realistically get good use from it. Her honesty and willing to not push me to buy was refreshing. I kept on browsing and left with two items that I absolutely loved! Their selection is amazing and fresh, with local designers and more popular ones like free people (my absolute favorite brand) . Although I am from Chicago, the sales associate handed me a business card and suggested their Instagram to follow up with their items and order online! Loved loved loved !

I absolutely adore this little boutique! I am very into the whole "shopping local" concept, and every time I visit this store I am tempted to purchase almost every item I see. Maybe it's the gorgeously decorated walls, or the sun streaming through the large windows, I'm not entirely sure. But there's something about this place that just makes me so incredibly happy. I want to live in this boutique! I love the combination of antique and contemporary pieces in this space. When you walk in, there's a gorgeous wall to your right that's a mixture of brick and plaster. Today I learned that the owners actually knocked down four layers of wall to reach the brick. While in the process of doing that, they had the vision to leave some of the white plaster on top of the brick to make a truly interesting texture on the wall. It's so stunning! I can't say enough positive things about this space. The color scheme is absolutely on point with all the whites, teals, and baby pinks. And the furniture is modern yet refined. Fantastically done. The clothes here are wonderful. I pretty much want to buy every single thing in the store. Also, if you're looking for a gift, this is a great place to go. They have candles, stationary, and jewelry galore! Also, they have sales pretty often...and who doesn't love a good sale?! Overall, this is one of my favorite boutiques in Lawrenceville. I will continue to come back to No. 14 boutique again and again!

O.M.G. I LOVE No. 14! I've followed them on Snapchat for a little while now but never had a good reason to buy any of their fun clothes. I have an event coming up and figured it was the perfect opportunity to support this local, women-owned business and get a fabulous dress in the process! To my dismay, the dress I loved on Snapchat was out of stock by the time I made it to the store but I was able to find another just-as-fantastic dress to ease the sadness. You definitely have to be quick on the draw if you see something you like on their social channels -- It's obvious that they pay careful attention to detail when curating their sales floor and there are only a small handful of each piece available. It is a boutique, after all! The store is decorated beautifully and the girl working was friendly and helpful even though I probably annoyed her when I asked her more than once if she was suuuuuure that pink dress I wanted was spoken for, haha! I felt at home browsing the racks and admiring the little touches they've accented with. I didn't feel pressured to buy or like I was being hovered over like other boutique shoppes I've patronized. I am definitely adding No. 14 to my short list of places for great dresses, unique work clothes, and for splurging on me, myself and I!

I've been dying to go to this store for a while after hearing about it and seeing them on Instagram. The decor and aesthetic are amazing with feminine touches. It reminded me of cute boutiques I used to go to when I lived in Seoul. They have cute clothes and I didn't think the prices were bad, but there isn't a huge selection which is understandable for the size. What I was disappointed in was the customer service or lack there of. We were never greeted or spoken to at all. For a small store it's impossible that they didn't see us, they just ignored us. The only time were acknowledged was when I checked out. Sorry to say, I don't know if I'll be back...

My best friend and I checked out No 14 Boutique around Labor Day. I think this boutique has a great curated little collection that's perfect for the girl who wants to be work appropriate while still looking feminine. However, though my friend and I had plenty of money to spend, the sales associates only paid attention to a presumably wealthy male shopping with his younger girlfriend. We were both interested in a couple pieces but felt so slighted that we walked away with nothing. I would give the store's assortment 5 stars but their customer service only 1 star.

Adorable boutique! They have their concept and identity down. It's decorated beautifully, with an all white aesthetic and pink accents. It's totally girly. If you're looking for feminine, floral and fitted items, this place is definitely for you. The prices range from average to high. I'm always a fan of raiding the sale section, and found a white skirt for $36! I would have bought this awesome BB Dakota jacket if it had been my size, curses! It's not an extensive array of clothing, but you can tell it's carefully curated. I'd say it's definitely on the trendier side, with some classics, like t-shirts and tanks. You'll also notice a couple higher end brands, like Ted Baker clutches. If you're in Lawrenceville and love a little retail therapy, this store is for you!

Absolutely love this place! This store is very well designed and has a great set up. All the clothing is so trendy and well made. Although it is a bit pricey, it is worth it for the quality. No matter what the occasion is, they will have an outfit for you. Before going you can check out their instagram or snapchat to get an idea of what they currently have in store!

My sister and I were really looking forward to checking this store out for a long time. Great location, great store aesthetic, and cute clothes (although rather pricey for the quality). However the customer service was very poor. I even tried making friendly conversation (with whom I later found out was the owner) and I was simply brushed off and I immediately felt unwelcome. I normally would be willing to pay high prices for clothes as cute as this store's, however since the stores costumer service was unfriendly we walked away empty handed and sadly won't plan on returning in the near future.

What a great addition to the neighborhood!!! So happy that this great little boutique joined a few of the others that I have come to love and frequent. We first stumbled upon them with our regular trips to La Gourmandine, and I was eagerly awaiting their opening. Once the boutique finally opened, it was easy for me to get hooked on shopping here. The owners, a mother/daughter team, are absolutely wonderful. So friendly and definitely have made the effort to create an optimal shopping experience. I We have been in numerous times to date, and there are always pieces that I have to have. Price points are more than reasonable too in my opinion. They have had some very unique pieces in too - and some great necklaces (and other little accessories). If you want to avoid the large chains and get some unique pieces and excellent service, you should definitely come here. It's a great place to update your wardrobe :)

A chic and trendy boutique that is geared towards 20-30 year olds. The owner really knows how to keep her clientele hooked! You can shop via Snapchat and text the store to buy/put items on hold. I suggest following her on Snapchat, so you get an idea of what is in the store. All of the associates are extremely helpful and the clothing is reasonably priced. I hope this boutique stays around for awhile.

This is a really cute neighborhood boutique with a mixture of on trend and unique clothes. The average price for each article of clothing is about $80. The sizes weren't consistent throughout the store so I had some trouble at first when trying on clothes. I ended up purchasing two items; one size small and another that was a size large.

Although it's small, it's very impressive. The girls who work there, along with the owner, are super sweet and helpful. I love this place and even when I don't buy anything, I always have a good experience. Plus, the way the girls update the store's social media rocks. (Buying stuff via text after seeing it on Snapchat is genius)! Cutest little shop in Lawrenceville!

AMAZING!!! After finding this place through Instagram, I had very high expectations when I first visited...and they were met!! It is much bigger inside than I expected and is filled with awesome fashion finds and even some cute things for my apartment. The shop owner was so friendly and took time out to talk with me about how I liked the shop and how I heard about it. I can't wait to keep going back to see the new items. We need more businesses like this in Pittsburgh. It was absolutely amazing! The prices were not too bad either. The first time I visited, I had just been to Anthropologie. I almost bought a candle there but was glad that I waited because at No. 14 Boutique I got one that was much better quality for a cheaper price. Not only that but I felt good that I supported a local business.

Great little boutique with lots of cute clothes. You will definitely find something to buy. There was a wait for the waiting room and I kept finding cute items to try on. There's a variety to choose from- casual to cocktail. Definitely will visit again when I'm in the area.

This boutique is absolutely ADORABLE! The rustic look with all of the light colors really draws you in. I've followed their Instagram account for awhile now and it seems like they always get new stuff in so you could go there week to week and see completely different stuff. Even the items they use to accent the place are for sale and get updated frequently which sometimes makes it feel like a whole new store. The clothes are super cute but they are a little pricey. Also make sure you are 100% sure you want any items you purchase because they only give store credit for returns. Which makes complete sense since they are constantly updating the store with new items.

Searching for an amazingly cute outfit? You've come to the right place! I don't think I could dream up a more perfect store than Number Fourteen! Even though I live in DC, Number Fourteen is worth the drive! Definitely check this place out - it never disappoints!

After months of complimenting friends on their outfits and asking where they got them, all to reply "No.14!", I finally ventured to LVille to see what all of the fuss was about. Upon entry, the store is adorable, bright, full of character and while the pieces aren't exactly my taste (a little too girly, frilly, trendy- not structured, classic enough for me) everything was displayed beautifully. The 1 star rating came in as a direct result of the awful customer service. The owner nor any of her employees so much as said hello - and not just to me - but to anyone that walked in, with the exception of maybe one person, who was clearly a regular. They simply stood behind the counter and talked to each other. No "how can I help you, what are you looking for, we have this new piece, I think you'd look great in it." To call myself a professional shopper is an understatement - I can make excuse to buy just about anything. But I couldn't bring myself to want to purchase one item at No.14, because I thrive off of customer service. Not saying that I crave special attention, but acknowledgement would be a good start. To be fair, I gave the store a second chance - deja vu - same snobby attitudes. I actually saw an outfit that I liked, it was new, and hadn't been put out yet, but was behind the register (with the employee, of course). I asked her if I could try it on/how much it was. She said I'd have to come back another day once it was officially put out. How about, let me call my manager, and see if she'd like to make a sale to a new customer? Needless to say, I am happily taking my money elsewhere.

We were super excited for this shop to open, went in right away and while it is beautiful in there (they obviously put a TON of money into the space), everything is cheap. Yes prices are low, but things fall apart right away. And to top it off, the girl had such a stuck up attitude! We would have given it a second chance, but she can't even say hi like she means it, why would we?
