No. 5 East

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at No. 5 East. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The accommodations were spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, making it easy to relax and feel at home. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. Breakfast was delicious and clearly put together with care… a perfect start to each day! The overall atmosphere was peaceful and inviting, and it truly felt like a special place. We wouldn’t change a thing and would 100% stay here again. Highly recommend!

Let’s make it clear: we loved it soo much, that we told our fantastic and so kind and lovely host Vahid, that we want to move in - like - forever 😍 The house is incredible. Rebuilt with so much love for every detail. Every room is beautiful. They really share their home with you. You will love every second there and want to come back again and again. You can feel like royalty staying in this gorgeous 3 story mansion! Located in "The Gates" you feel safe and secure! The super hosts make you feel right at home! Immerse yourself in the well preserved history of the home, while enjoying updates that make you feel pampered. Breakfast is served daily complete with fresh fruits, cereal, granola bars, eggs, fresh jams for the croissants, and a selection of juices and specially coffees. The location is perfect for walking to nearby shops, restaurants, and pubs.

Such a beautiful and amazing accommodation. Just back from 4 days (3 nights) in Winnipeg and fortunate enough to stay at this gem of a property. It could not have been better. Very centrally located for where I needed to be and absolutely beautiful! Host, Vahid was incredibly nice and really went out of his way to ensure my stay was the very best. Breakfast was delicious and the shared space was very entertaining and fun to chat with the other guests. My bedroom suite was so comfortable with an amazingly comfortable bed and great shower (and heated bathroom floor and incredibly soft towels!) with everything I needed (lovely shampoo/conditioner, etc). Vahid was also kind enough to allow me to entertain Winnipeg family members (8 of us in total) for an order in dinner in the beautiful living room and dining room. It was perfect. The house is absolutely beautiful and charming and so well appointed. And I must say, the fish wallpaper in the downstairs bathroom was my absolute fav! Also loved being greeted my the dog, Chief, when I got back in the evening (and each morning at breakfast). All in all, a fabulous stay (10 out of 10!) and I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone visiting Winnipeg.

Enjoyed a wonderful 3-day stay at No. 5 East, a resplendent heritage mansion in an upscale neighbourhood right on the river. The interior is Old-World stately with gleaming dark wood and elegant decor. The room was spacious and the king-size bed, super comfortable. The hosts were lovely. Great location to everything -- within walking distance to shops and restaurants, and short drive to major attractions. Highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic! Beautiful and quiet home with plenty of shared space for games and visiting. Spacious and comfortable bedroom with large bathroom and shower. For us early risers there is a well stocked DIY coffee nook that had everything you could possibly want to make yourself a coffee just the way you like it. Serene outdoor seating area facing the river to watch the sun come up. “Chief” the dog makes the occasional appearance for a pet and belly scratch, the breakfast was excellent, gorgeous dining area and the hosts were incredibly welcoming. The neighbourhood has many character homes and an evening walk to see the unique construction and gardens in the area made for a pleasant outing. Very happy with the stay, highly recommend this B&B.

One of the Best Stays We’ve Ever Had! A few months ago, my wife and I had the pleasure of staying at one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever visited. Nestled near a peaceful river, the location was absolutely stunning and incredibly relaxing. The place itself was cozy, clean, and full of charm — perfect for a quiet getaway. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the amazing host. Their kindness, warm hospitality, and attention to detail made us feel right at home. Every morning, we were treated to the best breakfast we’ve ever had — fresh, delicious, and made with care. We created wonderful memories there that we will cherish for a long time. Highly recommended to anyone looking for comfort, beauty, and genuine hospitality!
