No. 5 East

Such a beautiful and amazing accommodation. Just back from 4 days (3 nights) in Winnipeg and fortunate enough to stay at this gem of a property. It could not have been better. Very centrally located for where I needed to be and absolutely beautiful! Host, Vahid was incredibly nice and really went out of his way to ensure my stay was the very best. Breakfast was delicious and the shared space was very entertaining and fun to chat with the other guests. My bedroom suite was so comfortable with an amazingly comfortable bed and great shower (and heated bathroom floor and incredibly soft towels!) with everything I needed (lovely shampoo/conditioner, etc). Vahid was also kind enough to allow me to entertain Winnipeg family members (8 of us in total) for an order in dinner in the beautiful living room and dining room. It was perfect. The house is absolutely beautiful and charming and so well appointed. And I must say, the fish wallpaper in the downstairs bathroom was my absolute fav! Also loved being greeted my the dog, Chief, when I got back in the evening (and each morning at breakfast). All in all, a fabulous stay (10 out of 10!) and I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone visiting Winnipeg.

Enjoyed a wonderful 3-day stay at No. 5 East, a resplendent heritage mansion in an upscale neighbourhood right on the river. The interior is Old-World stately with gleaming dark wood and elegant decor. The room was spacious and the king-size bed, super comfortable. The hosts were lovely. Great location to everything -- within walking distance to shops and restaurants, and short drive to major attractions. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing experience at this place!! It was spotless, beautifully decorated, and felt like a cozy home away from home. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged to ensure comfort and relaxation. The host was incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive from the moment we arrived. Offering great local tips and making us feel truly cared for. And the breakfast... wow!! delicious, fresh and beautifully presented each morning. If you are looking for a perfect and memorable stay with top-notch hospitality, this is the one:)

Absolutely fantastic! Beautiful and quiet home with plenty of shared space for games and visiting. Spacious and comfortable bedroom with large bathroom and shower. For us early risers there is a well stocked DIY coffee nook that had everything you could possibly want to make yourself a coffee just the way you like it. Serene outdoor seating area facing the river to watch the sun come up. “Chief” the dog makes the occasional appearance for a pet and belly scratch, the breakfast was excellent, gorgeous dining area and the hosts were incredibly welcoming. The neighbourhood has many character homes and an evening walk to see the unique construction and gardens in the area made for a pleasant outing. Very happy with the stay, highly recommend this B&B.

One of the Best Stays We’ve Ever Had! A few months ago, my wife and I had the pleasure of staying at one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever visited. Nestled near a peaceful river, the location was absolutely stunning and incredibly relaxing. The place itself was cozy, clean, and full of charm — perfect for a quiet getaway. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the amazing host. Their kindness, warm hospitality, and attention to detail made us feel right at home. Every morning, we were treated to the best breakfast we’ve ever had — fresh, delicious, and made with care. We created wonderful memories there that we will cherish for a long time. Highly recommended to anyone looking for comfort, beauty, and genuine hospitality!

My Spouse and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was clean and cozy, the service was excellent, and everything was well organized. A special thank you to Vahid for his kindness, professionalism, and respectful attitude — he truly made our experience even better. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely be coming back!

Very nice hidden gem. Historic property with gracious hosts, Vahid and Marcia. Attentive and friendly. Rooms are spacious. Baths are spacious. All the floor space felt very luxurious. PLUS lots of public space as well: On 1st floor there’s an expansive social room; dining area and huge comfortable kitchen 2nd flr has a TV room and a coffee bar with fridge and microwave for all to use. 3rd floor has the great rooms! Great place to relax and enjoy by yourself or in the shared spaces. OH! And it has a large covered deck for dining outside or other liesure activities.

Very well looked after. Lovely rooms, a place to have tea and coffee, 24 hours daily, also soft drinks. Great breakfast, generous.
