No Brand Burger Stand

Stay local?? To get ripped off? Wow! Absolutely blown away. I understand price changes, but $57 for two burgers and two onion rings??? Did I accidentally end up in Paris? This is insanity and the very last time I will ever spend a dime at this place. The bag is so greasy, we literally have to have a kid hold it so it doesn't get the grease all over our car. This is really too bad.

Stopped here for lunch on our road trip. The tiny shack you order food in is so unique. Love the chalkboard menu full of options. The burger and burger salad were fresh, flavorful and cooked perfectly. The fries could use more seasoning and the garlic fries I thought I ordered were plain fries. Sitting at picnic benches worked well with the perfect weather.

The place has great burgers! If you don't like sweet relish make sure to ask for it off since all the burgers come with it. Burgers can be a little messy but they have so much flavor. I normally get the cajun bacon cheese burger. My grandma loves their milk shakes. Service is great, a couple tables outdoors, no indoor sitting but I see a lot of people picking up to go orders. I wish it wasn't so far.

I had the Blu bacon burger. The Bleu cheese was very good. We also had onion rings. They were good, but I thought the panko breading was a bit too thick and overpowered the onion. Very small location with a good amount of outdoor seating

Great locally sourced burgers, They were about to close up but they stayed open for us! The food is fresh and it is a fun little spot! Definitely worth stopping at if you are in the area! They serve fry sauce! Which gets them big points in my book! I got their special: California burger with grilled onions, fry sauce, French fries on the burger! Very good!

Had really good grass fed burgers. Our kids enjoyed the burgers and fries and you get plenty of food. Great value and great place for a quick meal. Ate outside in the sun and thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

great burgers from a hidden shack - juicy, saucy and fresh. got the jalapeno and Cajun cheeseburgers. jalapeno was better with the flavor pop with the spice complementing the fresh lettuce and onion well. Cajun burger was sopping wet before I was half way into it haha. street parking and parking lot available. outside tables only.

The place is easy to miss. We drove right by it, even with directions. But, that only enhances the quaintness of this little burger stand. Dine-in is really just a picnic table, but it makes perfect sense for the No Brand Burger Stand. I ordered the jalapeño bbq burger. It was fantastic. My daughters ordered plain cheeseburgers and really enjoyed them. As soon as we walked into the burger stand, we were greeted warmly and with enthusiasm. Such kindness you only really get in a small town these days. We deliberately went off the main highway to have lunch here. We were not disappointed. You won't be either.

I was up in McKinleyville visiting my Brother, and this place was on my mind from a couple years back. It was my favorite meal of my trip, and I knew I had to come back. Well............I made it back, twice, during my trip. Each time, I went with the Big Hoss (Double Cajun Bacon Cheeseburger, fries and a shake...current price $22.00). Absolutely amazing burgers! Huge, juicy, grass fed Humboldt beef. Everything works so well! A great burger! The fries were different than last time (last time was crinkle cut, this time regular fries), but still freshly fried and tasty. First time I got cajun fries (cajun seasoning salt) and then the second time I got regular. I had a strawberry shake my first time and vanilla the second. The fries and the shake were great! Overall, an awesome place. Its about the size of my bathroom, but I'll be damned if they dont crank out the best burgers not only in Humboldt County, but in all of CA. Can't wait until I make it back up there again so I can have another.

Waiting 25 minutes for a $20+ burger and undercooked fries is not a good business model.

I was looking for a place to stop to get a bite before driving home and man did I pick the right spot! I got a Double Bacon Cheeseburger and it didn't disappoint. The burger was phenomenal! The pattys were cooked to perfection and so juicy. Definitely making this a place to stop by frequently.

Best burger away from home, period. I have been her many times in the past and today had a burger and the onion rings. The onion rings were amazing crunchy deliciousness.

This was a perfect lunch while checking out historic downtown Ferndale! The Cajun burger, the double cheese with everything on it.. garlic fries! The food was amazing and cooked fresh to order. The ladies taking the orders and cooking were so sweet and welcoming! Amazing customer interaction. They kept saying they were "excited to cook for us!" So sweet! This literal hole in the wall is serving FRESH GROUND beef burgers as good as you can get it. Toasted bun was perfect. 10/10 we will be back when traveling through Redwood country!

it's probably the best burger I've had in Humboldt yum yum! Better than In n Out, worth the drive to Ferndale... and open on Sundays? Google said closed Sundays but was open when we were there. Will definitely come again!

Best fries and shakes in town. Nice front counter lady. Fun way to bond with your teenager too. They will happily hangout with you if you offer to bring them here.

No Brand is a solid little burger shack. This tiny eatery is about the size of a small shed, but they are cranking out some pretty good burgers and fries, day in and day out. Still here during and post covid19. They are open until 4 pm daily, call it in and get it to go. Humboldt grass fed beef burgers are the way here and prepared a variety of ways for pretty much any tastes. I went for a traditional bacon cheddar cheeseburger hold the onions, if you have ever had Humboldt grass fed beef its in a class by itself and this burger has great flavor and is juicy and well prepared, with fresh ingredients with mayo and mustard. Went with a large order of the crinkle cut fries and the order is huge and easy to split between two or more even. Light golden brown with a soft pillowy center and fresh made to order - again, very good and they come with the house dipping sauce. This little burger shack is on the east end of Main street, not downtown - slow down or you will drive right past it. Look for the sign and umbrellas with the tables - right next door to KHUM radio. Simple place that does one thing well. They use grass-fed beef and serve it in simple wrap in a brown paper bag. LOVE IT! It's all about the taste. So many places have a billion combinations of burger toppings that it becomes more about toppings than the meat. A good burger place should be able to rely on just the burger - but a good bun helps, too. The No Brand Burger Stand offers an authentic burger experience. Coolest thing about it is it really is a stand! FOOD: Very tasty. The burger itself was nice and juicy. I got the cajun burger with all the trimmings and the blend of flavors was wonderful without taking anything away from the flavor of the meat. I love the bun which was different. Not sure if it was an egg bread kind of bun or more of a brioche, but it was soft and rich while holding onto all the burger flavor. Great size burger, too. I got the single and it was definitely enough to hold over a big guy like me. My wife got the double bacon cheeseburger with no bun and no condiments - just pure beef, cheese, and bacon - and had nothing but nice things to say about the juiciness of the meat and the flavor of the burger. The fries were not crispy, but cooked well. For me, that's how I like it so I was pleased. If you're a double fry guy, then maybe not as much. But I was so happy with my simple and tasty meal. SERVICE: Friendly, quick, and personal. What more could you ask for? They wrapped everything well and the food was delicious. They included a knife and fork for my wife's no bun burger which you might think isn't a big deal but considering how many people don't do that, it is. COST: SO REASONABLE! You definitely get more than you pay for. It's not dirt cheap, but great prices for great food.

Best burger in the county hands down. Tip for those who (like me) think sweet relish is blasphemy; you can ask for no relish add dill pickle! The best! Don't forget the fry sauce with your frings (1/2 onion rings 1/2 fries)!!

The burgers were obviously good. BUT the older lady working there today was being very disrespectful to my boyfriend, she was very unprofessional and kept harassing him to date her daughter when he was ordering us lunch. Please learn some manners or at least not give out personal information to strangers while you're on the clock. (She was telling him where she worked and her shift hours...) this is more for her safety.

SO FREAKING GOOD! My husband has been here numerous times before taking me today and I ordered a Double Bacon Cheeseburger with Jalapeños and Fries. Don't forget to grab some of their fry sauce too. Everything was beyond amazing and the staff was so nice!

This is the most delicious burger I have ever Eaten! Thanks to the Humboldt grass fed Beef, I have been dreaming about this burger since returning home. I am saddened that I live so far away and can't have one right now. Onion rings, fries, and milkshakes here are not just delicious culinary confections, but works of art. I could go on for 19 paragraphs about how delicious the No Brand Burger Stand is, however I'm just going to strongly urge you to eat here.This Burger Stand is not one you'll want to drive past without stopping.

I've eaten here 6 times in the last 8 years but it was the first time since the pandemic. It was not as good as it once was. Service was poor and the burger was dry.

This place is a GEM. My family and I were on our way to camp in the Redwoods and decided to check out Ferndale on our way up. This spot looked interesting and the reviews don't lie -- the burgers were delicious. They were juicy and flavorful and a generous size for the price. We loved every bite. The fries were also good and the folks working were super nice. This spot is worth stopping for.

Slow down or you might the place. It's nestled in the corner of a long warehouse style building with picnic tables across from it. The burger joint is a small shack where you are only able to order. You can take the burgers to go or eat in the picnic tables outside. The burgers themselves were delicious! The meat was very juicy and flavorful. The only downside to the establishment was the fries and onion rings. They didn't match the quality of the burgers. Overall I left satisfied and happy!

Map in Yelp maps isn't right. It's across the Main Street. This place serves good burgers at cheap prices and great fries and onion rings. Sit outside on tables in the beautiful weather. Quality service. No one in our party left hungry or unhappy. Pro tip: the fries at 4.50 are big enough to feed 3. About 3x the size of a small fries and McDonald's. The onion rings are enough at $5 for about 5 large rings per 3 people each.

What a delicious burger! We had 2 cheeseburgers and the onion rings and fries. The burgers were the stars of the show. Huge hand-formed patties of delicious beef. Buns that were big enough for the large patties, soft enough to bite into without sending the filling squishing out, yet strong enough to hold up to the burger juice. Shredded lettuce . Very friendly service. We'll be back!!

Wanted to try new local restaurants during SIP and No Brand came highly recommended! I loved the feel of this place so much and the employees were so sweet! The double bacon cheeseburger was so delicious and huge! They use local beef and you can tell which we appreciate! We got an espresso milkshake and added chocolate and it tasted amazing! We'll definitely be back!

One of the best tasting home made burgers in the USA. The only better one I've had is the Ghetto burger at late Ms. Anne Price's (Ann's snack bar) in Atlanta. The burger patty was fresh and cooked to perfection, which just melts in your mouth. I had the Jalapeno Cajun Cheeseburger and would recommend it highly. This is such a big difference from the horrible Jalapeño burger I had at Yak's in Mt. Shastha just a few days back. Additionally, the price was very reasonable and great value for money

Probably one of the best burgers I have had. The bleu cheese bacon burger was so good. Best bleu cheese Ive tasted. I also had fries, onion rings and ring sauce which were very good as well. Have not tried a shake yet, but will soon. I love the sign on the door. With all the woke BS shoved down our throats daily, it's nice to see an establishment not bow down to the woke mob and the alphabet mafia.

Please! Please! Please! Bring back the best (not only our opinion!) BATTER FRIED ONION RINGS! Not the panko crust rings!! There is truly no comparison, and even though the bacon cheeseburgers are also the best around, pairing the two is truly gourmet! So sad to say the panko rings are a very poor substitute ... Delicious burgers and shakes. While vacationing we settled on No Brand Burger Stand for lunch and we weren't disappointed!! The service was fast and the food was amazing. No Brand has been my favorite place for a burger since I moved here in 2010. They had the juiciest and best tasting burgers in Humboldt. When my kids come to visit from Idaho and SoCal, they always want to go there for a burger. Well, I ate there 6 months ago with 8 of my friends, and we were all so disappointed... the burger meat was dry with no taste, nothing like they once were. Since my kids are coming in a few weeks, I thought I'd go give the burgers another try. But once again the burgers were dry, and this time the fries tasted stale. I'm wondering if it has changed ownership. So bummed!

Best burger in the world by far. Humboldt grass fed beef and when I say grass fed I mean the richest grass in North America. These burgers melt in your mouth with a explosion of flavor. This is not fast food and worth the wait. Just a simple outdoor stand with picnic tables. Pure joy...Double Bacon Cheeseburger absolutely the best, great shakes, fries,and onion rings.
