We went to the Sunday High Coffee/High Tea. Let's face it - for the price, it was a massive disappointment. The staff member was lovely, but obviously hadn't been trained in the menu or service plan. Drinks promised by the website and menu weren't delivered. Food came out chaotically and we didn't understand why - we hadn't finished the first part before the last part was delivered? Both courses had liquid based portions, but there were no spoons made available? We were charged for drinks that we were lead to believe were included in the price. A drink order was taken and during the 15 minute wait for those coffees to be made, another staff member asked if we would like coffee? One person's inability to eat prawns meant that no one got prawns - an unexpected outcome. The savoury food was tasty, although some of the sandwiches were on stale bread. The sweet food was ok - great to look at and well described, but mostly tasted of sugar, not many other flavours. The scones were similarly ok, but they were made with raisins which wasn't advertised and we didn't finish them as a result. Would not recommend at this price - was worth about 30% of bill.
