A favourite for us. Not suitable for caravans. We had to unhitch and push our camper-trailer in as turn points can be tight (we were on site 6). Heaps of wildlife and the beach is stunning!

This campsite is an absolute dream. Having the rainforest next to the beach is quite a sight. Fishing was okay, Dart seem to come in the evenings, butmas livebaits the only got me hooked to sharks. There are many Sharks there, and not just the little ones😅 A shame that so many people don't respect the rules of these places and start fires down at the beach. Most peole aren't even able to put the fire out properly. Sand will not put out the fire!! Hope the rangers enfoce that a bit more.

So! We rocked up because we were confused as to how we book a site, however, we drove thru the site and noticed about 10 spots free. We read a review from this time last year that the entire site was fully booked, but they managed to stay without hassle overnight in a space. Which is what we did! We were wary and were obviously happy to move if someone were to come and claim the spot! So if you do decide to stay here with no booking, no problem! I guess people can spare to be careless and keep their reservation as a safeguard for them but putting out other travellers .. 🙄

Beautiful camping spot where the rainforest meets the sea. Toilet block is clean and well kept. No bins so must take your rubbish with you. $7.45/ night - very reasonable & well worth it to maintain park costs. Must book online in advance.

Booking online. $7.25 / person. Different size spots. Check as some spots are too small for caravans. Lovely beach. Saw 3 Lace Monitors. No cassowaries. Close to Cape Tribulation camping and souvenir shop etc.

Such an amazing place. All spot at 10m from the beach. Less than 15 spots all spread out. Clean toilets. The beach and the forest is absolutely beautiful. For the price definitely can't be it. I wouldn't be surprised if during winter they are fully booked weeks in advance. Went there in November and not a problem to book 2 days in advance.

Beautiful separated sites amongst the rainforest and right near the beach. See the photo of the sight map to choose how close to the toilets you wish to be. Or if you want a site that everyone else walks through to get to the beach. We saw a dramatic scattered cloud sunrise on the beach followed by an impressive rainbow just before the rains hit! It was a magical rainforest experience.

Well maintained campground and toilet. Site 7 had a nice flat tent pad but also the main beach access path running through it, so probs not the best pick if don't wanna meet all the neighbours. The sites are heaps closer together than you'd think from the map. The whole campsite is only a few hundred metres long.
