Nobile Hotel Copacabana Design is an excellent choice for anyone wanting a comfortable stay near the beautiful Copacabana Beach. The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is tasty and extensive with an extended time of 6:00–10:00. There's not much at the hotel in terms of amenities outside of the comfortable rooms and breakfast buffet, but the surrounding area is perfect for exploring the beautiful city of Rio De Janeiro. The staff is also incredibly helpful. There was a plumbing issue in my hotel room, but the staff quickly moved me to another room and offered me several kind gestures as compensation for my inconvenience. All-in-all, it was a great stay!

Dishonest Front Desk At around 5:40 p.m., I checked into the hotel. There were two staff members at the front desk — one male and one female. After completing the check-in process and receiving my room key, I went to my room and found that it was located on a very low floor, and the window faced the street, making it quite noisy. I returned to the front desk and politely asked if it would be possible to change to a room on a higher floor. The female staff member who helped me check in was about to check the computer when the male employee, Nicolas, immediately said there were no available rooms. So I went back to my room. However, I found it strange that he gave me this answer without checking the system. Out of curiosity, I looked on Booking.com and found that there were still five rooms of the same type available. I went back to the front desk and asked again why Booking.com showed available rooms while they insisted there were none. Nicolas firmly said there were no available rooms and added, “We’ve been here all day; we know exactly how many rooms are left.” Up to that point, neither of them had actually checked the system. I then went back to my room and booked another room of the same type on Booking.com. When I returned to the front desk to check in again, surprisingly, there was suddenly a room available. When I questioned why there hadn’t been one earlier, they said the room had “just been cleaned.” It is worth noting that it was already 6:30 p.m. by that time, and I highly doubt that many guests would check out that late, especially since less than 20 minutes had passed between my first request and their later claim. I am not trying to cause trouble — I simply feel disappointed by such dishonest and disrespectful behavior toward guests. I have traveled to many countries and have never experienced anything like this. I have been traveling in Brazil for nearly 20 days, and until now, every Brazilian I have met has been kind, warm, and polite. I sincerely hope that the actions of a few individuals do not tarnish the positive image of Brazil as a whole

Great hotel in a fantastic location very close to Copacabana Beach with many restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are very modern, clean, and comfortable. The included breakfast is tasty with lots of variety. The staff will happily assist you with any questions or requests. I extended my stay an additional night because I enjoyed it so much. All-in-all, a great stay!!!

I booked this hotel expecting a four-star experience, but what I got was closer to a *ONE STAR MOTEL*—if that. The conditions were unacceptable, and the attached photos speak for themselves. Room Conditions: Cockroach Infestation: They were present in our room (on an upper floor, no less) and seemed to be throughout the entire building. Black Mold: The showers were covered in it, and after requesting a room change, we toured multiple options—each one was worse than the last, with more mold, humidity, and malfunctioning AC. Toilet: The caulking around the toilets was discolored from what appeared to be sewage backup. Comfort & Cleanliness Issues: The "king-sized bed" was just two twin beds pushed together with a very, very, very uncomfortable mattress topper. Our sheets weren’t changed for nearly a week, and when we asked, the staff acted like it was an unreasonable request. Their attitude was consistently poor, regardless of how we communicated. The entire building was uncomfortably humid, and the air conditioning barely worked. Failed Resolution Attempts: After enduring days in a filthy room, we asked to switch—only to find every alternative was equally (or more) disgusting. When we requested to be moved to a different hotel entirely, management refused, directing us to contact our credit card company instead. Without phone service in Brazil, we were stuck there for the remainder of our nearly two-week stay. To add to the frustration, I requested a partial refund for the stress and unacceptable conditions—which they outright denied. Avoid this hotel at all costs. The photos and details here aren’t exaggerations; they’re proof of a property that neglects basic hygiene, guest comfort, and customer service. You’ve been warned.

We were robbed. I had 1700usd on the safe and came back to find only 900. They told me they were going to check the cameras but didnt give me a further answer. No one did nothing. That's the worst of it of course, but I have to add that the first room they put me in had an awful smell, the safe didnt work and neither did the lights. Not recommended at all.

Great location just five minutes walk from Copacabana Beach and easy access to all the beach bars and restaurants lining the sands but slow check-in and room a bit spartan with no kettle! Buffet breakfast was OK and staff were generally quite helpful and friendly.

Albeit some remarks of reviewers here of receptionists being unhelpful etc, I think in my case it was quite the opposite. After talking to them nicely and making an effort to speak in Portuguese and Spanish, they were able to help me with checking in smoothly. The hotel is very strict with Check-in times hence patience is very much needed since all their rooms are booked. The hotel is also in a good spot since it’s just a stone throw away from Avenida Atlántica and the Cardeal metro station. Also, über transport is very much utilized here and safe. All in all, a very relaxing, educating and a fulfilling introduction to Brazil and the Latin american continent. ||Room is clean and the sheets are comfortable. There is no quilt so just make sure to turn on the timer as it can become very cold.||It’s just a short walk to the beach and food stores are nearby. My favorite is the BigBi where they sell cozinha and chivitos for quick bite. There’s also a metro station in front of the hoteL.||Ample amount of police in the area but just make sure to dress down and not wear any jewelry. The place is also flood lit with lights||Good starting point for a walk traversing Rua Barata Ribeiro until you reach Rua Siqueira and then take a left turn to reach Nossa Senhora de Copacabana and back. Lots of souvenir shops in the area||Buy the drinks from the nearby convenience stores, Pão de Açucar or the Zona sul. Look for restaurants offering Buffet a Kilo||The hotel had a renovation in their reception area so it’s more improved and I think they are preparing for more visitors in the next few weeks. By the way, I’d like to thank the receptionist (the pregnant lady) I forgot to ask her name but she really did made sure I can check in earlier since she saw me so jet-lagged and tired after having a 20+ hours of travelling from the middle east. Thank you so much dear if you are reading this.

I've written my review on Hotels.com as well because that is where I booked the hotel. I will be copying and pasting it here. I planned to stay from 3/6/25-3/9/25. Google isn't working for me to upload photos. I did however upload photos on Hotels.com. I posted the review on today 3/20/25. The hotel room was disgusting. It was extremely humid in the hotel between the lobby, the restaurant, the hallway, and in the actual room. There was also trash sitting on the window sill in one of the hallways. I saw it because I initially went to the 3rd floor but my room was actually on the 13th floor. The room was small which was fine for me because I was solo. I noticed some stains on the ceiling. I'm unsure as to what they were. I wanted to take a shower and noticed there were no face towels. I called the front desk and asked for some. After I called, I checked the bed for any dirty sheets and found both dirty sheets and dirty pillowcases. I called the front desk back for the sheets to be changed. The front desk told me to ask housekeeping when they arrived. When housekeeping arrived, I tried to explain the situation as best I could. She misunderstood the initial request and brought toilet tissue. I went to grab the towel from the towel rack to show her, then the towel rack broke off. That was the last straw for me. I packed my suitcase back up and checked out. I asked hotels.com for a refund. They had to ask Nobile. Nobile said no, which is absolutely ridiculous as I didn't receive what was expected. I'm currently disputing the charge with my bank. Book at your own risk. I later stayed at the Mirador Hotel and at Olinda Rio. Would definitely recommend both hotels.
