My husband and I stayed three nights at the Nobis Hotel last month. We booked our visit using Starwood points, so we didn't really look around for other hotel options. On balance, we were pleased with our choice, though I wouldn't recommend the place with any real enthusiasm.
The best part was the location. It was right in the middle of things, across the street from the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, about a block away from Tivoli Gardens. The train station was so close we were able to walk with our luggage without breaking a sweat. We didn't get in a single cab during our visit--we were able to walk or bike everywhere we wanted to see.
The hotel was clean and attractive. There weren't a lot of common areas, but the little lobby was neat, as was the cute lounge space by the elevator. Our room was small but pleasant, the bathroom nice, the bed reasonably comfortable. Everything looked good, newly renovated with a cool, modern aesthetic.
Service was pretty minimal. You have to go up a set of stairs to get to the lobby, and when we arrived, there was no one there to greet us or help out with our luggage. Check-in was fine, though this was the first hotel we've booked through Starwood that didn't offer points or drink tickets. We didn't really see much of the staff over the course of our visit. We just kind of checked in and checked out, with no interactions in between (though I should note, of course, that there was housekeeping, and it was fine). I don't need to be followed around by smiling butlers spraying me with rosewater or anything like that, but this was an expensive hotel (category 6, which meant we laid out a lot of points). I guess I was surprised by the indifferent service.
Still, we weren't unhappy with Nobis. It was a solid hotel with an unbeatable location, and I'd stay again if I found myself going back to Copenhagen. I just don't have any particular affection for the place.
