⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great vibe and setting—we sat on the patio overlooking the beautiful Boardman River. The atmosphere was relaxing and the service was excellent. We ordered the mussels and burgers. The mussels were fresh and full of flavor. The burgers, however, were a bit bland and didn’t taste especially fresh. Still, a great place for drinks and appetizers with a view. We’ll be back, just might try something else next time.

Last minute change of plans and decided to go to Nobo and it was NOT a mistake. The bucatini was the best pasta dish i’ve ever had. My husband also loved the muscles dish. Highly recommend.

NoBo Riverside is truly a gem along the Boardman River. From the moment you walk in, the warm and attentive service makes you feel like a welcomed guest. The staff goes above and beyond to make the experience seamless, striking that perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism. The food is nothing short of outstanding. The oysters are impeccably fresh, the prawns perfectly prepared, and the tuna carpaccio melts in your mouth with vibrant, clean flavors. Their risotto is rich and comforting, while the pasta dishes showcase both creativity and skill—every bite feels like it was crafted with passion. And then there’s the setting. With its gorgeous view overlooking the Boardman River, NoBo Riverside offers one of the most relaxing and beautiful backdrops you could ask for. Whether you’re coming for a casual evening or a special occasion, the atmosphere makes it unforgettable. What makes the experience even better is its location in the same building as The Alluvion, Traverse City’s incredible new venue for live music. Pairing a night of exquisite dining at NoBo with a show at The Alluvion is, without a doubt, the perfect recipe for an amazing night out. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend!

I was served these mussels. They were not very hot. Only half were cooked and fully open. You can see in the pic with the open mussel i pried open the orange meat-slime has not solidified/cooked and detached from the shell. I shared this with kitchen staff and manager who responded dismissively and defensively, only apologizing they were not cooked “to my satisfaction.” I showed this first picture, and the manager gaslit me saying that the liquid raw mussel is the sauce. They comped the dish for me, thanks. I would not be leaving this review if they were receptive to feedback. I had a nice cocktail. Morgan was a lovely server. The host was pleasant as well. I’m sure many of the menu items are nice.

Carin was absolutely incredible! Between dinner, dessert and drinks - this experience was beyond anything TC has to offer. Definitely a must if you’re in the area! The atmosphere was exceptionally cozy and such a vibe. A new fave!

A group of friends went to Nobo for restaurant week dinner and I was quite pleased! I’ve only been for a happy hour and coffee before. It was packed and they only offered the restaurant week menu as well as a wine pairing and cocktail menu. I had the arancini, pork belly and banana dessert. The arancini was massive, and the red sauce was great, but there could’ve been more flavor overall. The pork belly was fantastic with a hint of chili crisp and the rutabaga mascarpone purée was something I’ll crave! This place has so much potential and the space is great. I do hope to see their normal menu and to return as this was a great experience overall for restaurant week!

We found this place when trying to find a reservation through Open Table. We knew nothing about it before hand. We really loved our cocktails and food. Everything was prepared perfectly. We experienced prompt service and our server was great! The atmosphere was really nice too. Even though it looked pretty unassuming from the exterior, the dining and ambiance were notable in the best way.

Yelp
4 stars for my honey lavender latte made with house made syrup. They use Oatly oat milk which is my least favorite brand, but otherwise my drink was tasty. The avocado toast was inedible. The eggs were barely cooked. The greens were plain and undressed (bitter arugula). The tomatoes were soggy. The bread was thin and untoasted, so it got soggy really quickly. The avocado was a thin consistency (maybe packaged avo?), browning, and a super thin layer. They gave me a little side of fresh berries that seemed like they were packaged for a few days (strawberries a little sketch.) They were out of almond croissants and many other pastries (10a on a tues.) You order at the counter and they bring food to you. I found a paid parking spot in the lot right in front ($1.50/hr or so). There are lots of cute seating areas so this space would have potential if they fix the food situation. The pictures on their Instagram made it look much tastier than it was :/

Yelp
This is a really nice cafe in a new community-owned building. For families with young children, there were high chairs, changing tables (on the second floor), and surprisingly nice play areas. The food was reasonably priced for the quality, in our opinion. Veggie naan wrap, bahn mi, and lamb flatbread are all solid options. They also have ice cream, a bar, and coffee/tea, and they were showing a silent movie and Blue Planet on their TV's, which was a plus. Very pleasant experience, we hope to be back!

Yelp
Food- I have only had coffee and pastry. Today, I ordered affogato and a plain croissant. The lady running the register was super helpful and nice. She was just figuring out where everything was on the pos, she said, "I'm usually the bartender." Beautiful views of the Boardman River

Yelp
A wonderful addition to the Boardman area! We went for their grand opening where they generously gave out free coffee and pastries. The coffee was fantastic. It's a cool building with great decor and lots of seating. Looking forward to trying their food or a cocktail next time we visit.

Yelp
Very good coffee and cap. Great place to sit, to meet up, or to work. Located on 8th street, walking distance from most of traverse city.
