I simply can’t say enough nice things about this staff and especially Eric C who was amazing guide through our evening. We have a table of 7 for a college graduation with several Nobu 1st timers and he was beyond patient and kind. He and colleagues handled all our needs with grace and precision and it was a very memorable experience for ALL the right reasons. Incredible food and drink from the Grand Cordon, the crispy avacado rice, the spicy albacore cut, the prime beef filet cooked to perfection with a citrus sauce and finishing off with an affogato and hazelnut crisp. Incredible experience. Thanks so much to Eric and his team!

Google
Love this fresh seafood and sushi vibe. Every time I come to Arizona its a great experience with exceptional food. I recommend if it’s your first time and you are looking for a new place to checkout. One of my faves!

Andrea Handler

Google
Ridiculously over priced, Nobu is delicious! We sat at the bar for happy hour and had most of the happy hour menu. It was great. The rolls were typical rolls but the hot dishes, like the chilean sea bass tempura was uniquely creative. The staff was extremely attentive with a shout out to our very friendly server, Bari. Thank you for the anniversary treat. If you want an excellent meal and are willing to pay, try the happy hour.

Google
Lovely evening in the bar area. Attentive service, good recommendations, tried a few different things. Even for nobu it does feel a little pricey but … here we are. That last bit of tuna, correctly instructed to eat it as prepared, was delicious.

Google
Great experience! The food was fantastic and so was the service! I have been to Nobus around the country, and this is one of the best!

Google
This was my first time to Nobu and certainly won’t be my last. *first timers, this place is NOT cheap* We tried the chefs menu, which is a curated menu. Your server interviews you to find out what you like and don’t like or any allergies. Based on that, they work with the chefs with your inspiration to curate a 8 course family style menu that is absolutely to die for. Every single thing I ate, the next dish took the top spot for my favorite. I couldn’t name a favorite! We added some dessert on the end and washed everything down with Lychee and elderflower martini’s and Japanese whiskey. The vibe is just right, packed restaurant with a cool and chill lounge house playlist. Everyone is dressed up and the servers and staff are top notch! Definitely a place for a special occasion, friends dinner, date night, or just good food!

Google
Special treat for my birthday. It’s a nice place and so would advise you dress up a little. The food is good, service is fast and attentive and the atmosphere is quite trendy and upscale. I got the Nobu old fashioned cocktail which was very nice, an assortment of sashimi and rolls, prime rib, the cod and for desert I would recommend the date cake. The price is high but not crazy, so I think it’s a good value for your money.

Google
I order last night from Nobu , the quality of the food was terrible , very fishy, they are very expensive. This picture as you can see how a meal for 100 dollars looks like . They completely lost they sense of quality and prices . Never again in my life will I order anything from there . Not recommended to anyone who appreciates real sushi

Yelp
OMG!! This was the first NOBU that I've tried and it was . I did not have a single bad dish all night. I'm a guy who isn't into much raw fish but man....I tried some this night. The ambience and customer service were top notch. Our server Quan was an amazing host. He definitely knows the menu. My wife and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary here and can't wait to come back.

Yelp
So I finally made it over to Nobu. The atmosphere is very plain and stark and comparison to the one in Malibu. It felt more like I was in a cafeteria than a restaurant. We had a reservation and got seated quickly. The waiter was great as well as the rest of the service with the exception of what was going on with the kitchen. I ordered the cucumber salad and my friend ordered a dragon roll. I was finished with my cucumber salad by the time he got his dragon roll. So we ate separately. for the main entrée, I ordered the snow crab in the spicy cream sauce. It was delicious! However, again my food came first and I was completely done eating by the time my friend got his main course, which was the sole. And he loved it. But we pretty much ate separately the entire time. Rather awkward. I ordered the bento box, delicious. My friend ordered some layered thing with pistachio. He really enjoyed it. When we shared with our waiter our thoughts about how the food came out, he explained that it's because the kitchen makes things separately, yada yada yada. It was an excuse. They did comp us the deserts. I guess at some sort of consolation. I don't know if I'll go back.

Yelp
Nobu Scottsdale delivers the incredible food you'd expect from other Nobu locations. I've been coming here for a few years, and the quality is always top-notch. We always order the black cod with miso (perfectly cooked and flavorful), the prime filet toban yaki (incredibly tender), and the yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño. You can't go wrong with any of their maki or nigiri either. If you enjoy tea with your meal, make sure to ask for their tea list, which is in the dessert menu--a nice touch that's not always obvious. Service is generally attentive and professional, but one time we came for a birthday celebration, and despite promising candles with the dessert, they forgot to bring them. We didn't bother asking, but it was a small letdown in an otherwise great experience. 4.5/5 stars overall!

Yelp
I've dined at Nobu a few times in LA and something notable is their top tier service and attentiveness. However, I couldn't say the same with Nobu in Scottsdale. Perhaps they were overbooked and understaffed on Christmas Eve, but it was painfully slow. We probably waited 30 minutes before we were able to put in our order, then another 30 minutes before getting water and drinks. It was a long wait before each dish that came out and made our dinner time less enjoyable. Food was still great but in the end there was not even an acknowledgment on their part for the slow service.

Yelp
It's worth the hype. We tried all the popular dishes-- yellowtail sashimi, crispy rice with tuna, rock shrimp tempura, and black cod with miso. Everything was mouthwateringly delicious! The standout dish is the crispy rice with tuna. I've had crispy rice at many different restaurants and it doesn't look like much, but the crispy rice here is one of the most tasty bites I've ever had. The meal is coursed out, and they only bring the next course when you are finished with the last, which made the experience very relaxed and enjoyable. This was my first visit to a Nobu, so I don't know how it compares to other locations, but we were thoroughly satisfied and look forward to visiting again.

Yelp
A perfect birthday dinner! The food was delicious all around. I started out with the yellowtail jalapeño and the red snapper appetizers which were both tasty. The black cod from the hot menu was the best cod I've ever had in my life. The sweet sauce on top really made the dish. I also had the toro sushi roll along with the soft shelled crab one. Both were on point. Dessert was the mochi ice cream, which again, was the best I've ever had. The service was excellent. We had a younger man who was very attentive, particularly to my gluten issue, even going so far as to add an extra little gluten free dessert dish to my mochi for my birthday. It is invaluable to have a server that you trust with dietary issues. Overall, a wonderful evening and experience.

Yelp
We went to Nobu for a friend's party, and that was the first and last time we would go. We're not big sushi people to begin with, but we were grateful they had alternatives on the menu. We got the dumplings and the chicken. The dumplings were "smoked," but you wouldn't know it by eating them. The flavor was nothing special. The chicken was a small slice of chicken with sauce on the side. The sauce was good and the chicken was cooked well, but not so good it would bring us back or keep us talking about it. The service was ok. The girl was pleasant, but at times it seemed we were an inconvenience. It took them about 45 minutes to prepare two slices of chicken- so those that ordered it ate after the rest of the table was finished. The menu is confusing and the experience is misleading. They told us it was family style, but few of the plates are actually a shareable size if you want to leave the restaurant satiated. The restaurant is beautifully designed, but is also incredibly loud and hard to have a conversation across the table when the dinner crowd picks up. Glad to know what Nobu is, but we're voting no for next time on nobu.

Yelp
Amazing as usual. I've been to the LA location before and this was just as amazing. We got the yellowtail sashimi, tacos, a spicy scallop roll, rock shrimp and the lobster ceviche and it was all so good and fresh. The ambiance is amazing obviously and the cocktails were incredible, the mango passion fruit martini is my new favorite. I will say the portions are small, we went to in and out after since we were still hungry even after spending over 200$. Still a great vibe for date night!

Yelp
We are feeling fancy!!!! 5-star across the board, from the ambiance to customer service and of course, the food!!! We started with the yellow tail fin sashimi, it melts in your mouth. Followed by their hot miso soup! Their special sangria has a kick, super tasty! now here's our main entree, the wagyu flambé, crab tempura and prime rib.... soooooo good! The wagyu melts in your mouth, super tender. It's worth every penny!

Yelp
I don't like sushi, but my dining partner did and he absolutely loved everything here. I got the wagyu dumplings and crispy rice soup, which were both delicious. However, what I would return for is the lychee and elderflower martini! Service wasn't exactly overly welcoming or friendly, but they were efficient and got the job done. Ambiance was classy, typical Old Town upscale restaurant, and nothing less than what you would expect from a Nobu.

Mark J.

Yelp
Food is strong. Bartender we had was very good and she has been there since the start. Other bartenders seem to hang out and don't seem to be working. Was interesting. Love the food and atmosphere. Prices on some things are strangely off and more expensive than they should be. When I pointed out that one of the shots was 2-3x another high end restaurant we were told that corporate decides. And that Toca across the street was more expensive for same drink. Well...went to Toca right after and same shot was $20 less.....they seem to be lagging the market and they need better management. I chatted with manager and he could care less.

Yelp
We had our Christmas Eve dinner here this year. We ordered: baked crab roll, baked lobster roll, crispy tuna rice, scallop and shrimp nigiri, toro scallion roll, prime tenderloin yakimono, and shrimp and lobster in lemon sauce. All delicious, but the lobster was slightly overcooked. Staff was friendly, the ambiance was consistent with other Nobu spots. However, despite the great flavors, I feel Nobu is overrated, banking more on its name than delivering an exceptional experience. I've visited New York and Malibu too; for the price, other places offer a more memorable dining experience. I'll visit the other locations in the future, hoping another Nobu location will change my mind.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. We went on a Sunday evening, to celebrate a birthday. It wasn't that busy at all and we got seated right away. Our server was really informative. He explained a lot about the items on the menu and why they were special. The menu had a lot of items, from appetizers to salads to rolls to grilled items. Every one can dine here. It's not exclutsively for sushi lovers. We started with the recommended Lychee martinis, a Nobu staple. It was very sweet and it tasted like lychee juice. Could be a good thing or a bad thing, based on your preference. It was okay for me. I won't order it again. Then we ordered the yellowtail, another Nobu staple. This dishes was the best thing we had there. The flavor profile was light, refreshing due to the citrus, and had a kick due to the jalapeños. The king crab tempura was also good, but for $56? I didn't think it was worth the price for the portion. We also ordered the next three dishes that were recommended to us by the server. We got the spicy garlic scallops, prime filet toban yaki, and roasted cauliflower. The scallops were our least favorite dish. They came out a little under cooked and they were heavily sauced, which was a shame. I would not recommend. The presentation of the prime filet was the highlight of that dish. They present it in this smoked dome glass and the dish comes out sizzling. However, that was about it. Nothing else memorable about it. The cauliflower tasted the same as the scallops. I wasn't sure if they tossed the cauliflower in the same sauce, but both of those dishes were similar in flavor profile. Definitely would not recommend. At the end, the bill was $300+. I expected the meal to be expensive but for what we ordered?? It was definitely not worth it. If you have always wanted to go to Nobu, I would say try it . If you want to go there to try the food, I would skip this place unless you don't mind the high price point for their items.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Nobu for a long time now and unfortunately I think it fell short of expectations. I left feeling like I could've gotten better tasting/quality of every dish we ordered somewhere else at a lower price point, and that we've had better dining experiences overall. I won't hit everything on the food, but I thought the bluefin toro was disappointing. I asked the waiter what cut and he confirmed o-toro, but it definitely came out looking and tasting like chu-toro. I'm unsure if he didn't really know the difference, if he was intentionally being misleading or if this just wasn't a great piece of fish but I probably wouldn't have ordered this as such. The rock shrimp tempura reminded me of the Firebird's Fired Up Shrimp happy hour dish, so it was good but nothing to write home about (however, I think that's on us for ordering in the first place and maybe expecting something different than what it was). All in all, everything was just OK; sometimes we have meals like this where we can rave about each dish or where each one seems to keep getting better than the last, and this just wasn't it. As for ambiance and service -- I felt like we waited a while to get our first dish, and then after that, everything came out really fast and altogether. For dining at a place like this, it would've been nice to have been paced out a little better; it felt like we were being cycled through and needed to get going for the next people. With that, we went on a Friday night so it was packed and we were seated at a booth very close to both tables on either side of us. That's no surprise for a weekend night in Scottsdale, but it just made for a less intimate date night.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour and borderline 4 - the sushi was really soso, rice was a bit mushy. Service was attentive which is why it's a 4 but the vibes are definitely on point

Yelp
This is not my favorite nobu location. The sushi is bland and the prices are expensive. I have had way better sushi. Portions are small. This is a pass for me.

Yelp
Great ambiance and food was delicious! Rock shrimp tempura was amazing. Dumplings were good as well! We enjoyed our visit!

Yelp
The restaurant was beautiful and located right next to a parking garage which came in handy as it was really hot the day we came. I had made a reservation on open table and was sat immediately upon arrival. I was surprised at how busy the place was already by 5:30pm. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and I am a big fan of a great bathroom which they definitely checked all the boxes. It was too hot to sit on the patio but it did look like a great option when not in an AZ summer. As for the food, it was good but for the price I was not totally sold. I also got some new items off the menu that I hadn't had before and it was hit or miss. The two wins, the rock tempura shrimp - always so good! The second was my cocktail. It was a mezcal drink but the perfect amount of Smokey where it was not overpowering. The two items that I thought were good, just not great were the tartare with caviar - the sauce was the reason I wasn't a fan, the wasabi made it taste a little horseradish to me which I personally don't like, but that's just preference. The second was the lobster roll- I did get it tempura style. It was good, but not $50 good. Overall I would come back again but I would definitely stick more to what I know and what I feel is worth the price (like the shrimp!)

Yelp
My boyfriend took me here for my birthday. We were greeted quickly and the hostess asked whose birthday it was, I told it was mine and she wished me happy birthday. Once we sat down the server greeted us and went over the drink menu. My boyfriend had one of the signature drinks, kiwi del sol, which was lighter than we thought and was good. I had the pina martini and lychee and elderflower martini during dinner. We went with the tasting menu that consisted of 7 courses. Yellow tail sashimi Barracuda sashimi(can't remember name) Salmon sashimi A tempura item Grilled shrimp with veggies and sauce Ribeye with butter truffle sauce Assorted maki and sushi rolls The whole menu was delicious along with service.

Yelp
I'm a Nobu follower - wherever I go and there is a Nobu I will dine here. Never having been to the Scottsdale Nobu I came in on a slow weekday evening and sat at the sushi bar where there were no other diners. I dined like a queen on a meal of sashimi and nigiri leaving significantly lighter in the checking account. I should never have come here ravenously hungry. It is not wise. But I dined fantastically! I ordered only two food items - the yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño and a delicious Chilean sea bass filet. Everything else was at the whim of the sushi chef. I just simply agreed to continue eating because everything I ate was delicious! Never once did I touch the soy sauce as each bite was a melody of flavor that sang a song of bright citrus and gentle heat. The textures of soft buttery fish intermingled with crunchy jalapeño, salt, and at times food I didn't recognize. Every bite was better than the last and since the sushi chef was a master it was a perfect ramp up. The service was incredible. Frequently waiters would stop by to clear plates or ask if I wanted a cocktail. I found everyone to be very friendly and lovely. It is a good size Nobu and while most people sat outside that particular night I was very fond of the sushi bar. I didn't care for the bar stools as they made me sink too far back and were not great for shorter people, but it is my only complaint. I loved this Nobu as much as I have loved the others.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this location since Nobu Los Angeles was amazing just a month ago. But Scottsdale Nobu lacks the same caliber of service, decor (the dining room feels like a cafeteria), and food presentation (I'm tempted to show photos of the same dishes up next to each other but won't). Upon arrival for a 7 pm reservation to celebrate a birthday, our party of four was seated at a bench type table along the perimeter of the dining room even though there were several round tables available in the main area. Our server greeted us with a drink menu, but with underage kids in our party, we were interested in food menus. After almost 10 minutes waiting for our server to return, I finally asked a hostess in the dining room for menus. Rather than bring them herself, she told us that the server would bring them to us. I specifically asked if she could bring them and she declined. So we waited several more minutes while our server proceeded to stand at a counter and then help other tables before eventually coming over to us with two menus for four people. An issue with something so simple at the start of our evening was odd and off putting. The standouts throughout our evening? Brady and Liz. Both Brady, who delivered our food, and Liz, who bussed our table, were amazing. These two, along with the water refresher and one other girl, deserved the entire tip since our server was absent during most of our meal. Overall, this Nobu should take some lessons from the LA location if they want to live up to the hype. When you have a reputation for delicious, expensive Japanese steak and sushi, you need to meet the fine dining expectations of both excellent service and amazing visual presentation.

Yelp
Had reservations for a Tuesday evening. Not too many other patrons when we arrived so we had our choice of seating area. Been to the Vegas location a few times and this one was just as nice. Menu was concise and straightforward, which I appreciated. Started with the Toro Tartare with Caviar and Salmon Karashi Sumiso. Absolutely delicious! Couldn't pick which one we loved more. We went with Nigiri and picked almost every option. Sushi was well made and was so fresh, which was to be expected from this establishment. Not being quite full, we added on the Toban Yaki. This dish came out sizzling and smelled so amazing that I wanted to lick the steam coming from it! Of course this dish was to die for as well. The A5 was very tender, sauce was on point, and the veggies made it all come together. Overall, had a wonderful experience and our server was attentive the whole time! Definitely coming back again.

Yelp
Nobu, a name synonymous with culinary excellence, needs no critique, for there simply isn't anything negative to say. From the moment you step into this gastronomic haven, you are enveloped in an experience that transcends the ordinary, redefining the very essence of dining. The ambiance at Nobu is a symphony of elegance and sophistication. Every detail is meticulously curated, creating an atmosphere that exudes an aura of unparalleled luxury and refinement. It's not just a restaurant; it's a sensory journey that begins the moment you cross its threshold. The service at Nobu is nothing short of impeccable. The staff, guided by a profound understanding of hospitality, caters to your every need with a grace and attentiveness that is both genuine and heartfelt. Their expertise enhances the dining experience, ensuring that you are guided through a culinary adventure unlike any other. And then there is the cuisine. Nobu's menu is a masterpiece, a fusion of traditional Japanese flavors and innovative culinary techniques that elevate each dish to a level of artistry. Even the basics, such as edamame and miso soup, are transformed into sublime delicacies, evoking a sense of nostalgia for the authentic tastes of Japan. While every dish at Nobu is a triumph, there are personal favorites that stand out. The Waygu dumplings, a testament to culinary creativity, are a divine indulgence that lingers on the palate, leaving an unforgettable impression. Even the least favored dish, the wakame salad, is approached with honesty and transparency, with the waiter forewarning diners of what to expect, demonstrating a level of integrity that is commendable. The crowning jewel of the dining experience is the bento box dessert, a culinary gem that encapsulates perfection. Within this box of delights lies a matcha ice cream that defies description. Its unparalleled richness and depth of flavor are a revelation, a taste sensation that leaves you in awe of the culinary genius that crafted it. In conclusion, dining at Nobu is not just a meal; it is a transcendent experience that awakens the senses and nourishes the soul. If you have ever wondered about a premiere Japanese night out, wonder no more. Treat yourself to the extraordinary world of Nobu, and prepare to be transported into a realm of culinary excellence that is simply unparalleled. This is not just dining; this is artistry on a plate.

Yelp
Is it worth eating at Nobu as a vegan? Maybe, for that one time experience of devouring mainstream promoted foods. I'm honestly still craving the spicy miso eggplant and the crispy rice with avocado. It was super delicious and flavorful. The flavors from each dish melted on my tongue. I wasn't a fan of the vegetable toban yaki! It was salty but the plating was beautiful along with the flavors of the grilled shiitake mushrooms.

Yelp
Friendly bartenders and great drinks. They have an exactly one hour happy hour that has a solid mix of good food. The sea bass and sushi are all awesome

Yelp
The decor: Beautiful. Spectacular. Stunning. The food: Beautiful. Spectacular. Stunning. The staff: Amazing, darling! No, really, Nobu was absolutely great. The food was delicious, the restaurant was gorgeous, the lychee martini was pure perfection, and the staff were attentive and on top of it. It's been days and I can still cannot get that sea bass out of my mind. It's haunting me. As well as the amazing wagyu with truffle. Oh and the sushi, so fresh, so delicious. It IS expensive (we did the omakase that was $200 a person) so I recommend keeping it to special occasions. Or be like us and randomly go just for fun on a random Tuesday because why not!

Yelp
My son invited me for my bday dinner and as soon we walked in the restaurant I loved the atmosphere the energy of the service. We had a 6 courses and every course was unique and delicious. We had an amazing time. I definitely come again

Yelp
Had my birthday dinner here, we ordered the Bluefin Toro Nigiri, and the Kinmedai Nigiri. I've had much better Toro cuts from Sake Haus & Kaizen downtown. We then had the Creamy Spicy Snow Crab and this was very heavy, flavor was good, but the dish should come with rice to serve with the cream. Drinks were good, we had the Nobu Special Reserve sake, Scottsdale Cooler (rum, pineapple, yuzu), and the Frozen Lavender Lemonade. Dessert was the highlight, our Date Cake was perfect - rich, and flavorful. Inside is beautiful, and service was attentive.

Yelp
Famed nationally recognized fine dining Japanese This Asian inspired restaurant is eponymously named after well-known celebrity chef Nobu Matsahisu and is co-owned by Robert De Niro. restaurant serving gourmet level dishes. I had a nice meal with my family here during the holidays. Since my daughter is a pescatarian for the most part we were looking for someplace that was upscale with a unique dining experience. Nobu definitely fit the bill. As expected the service was top shelf. Tge food was creative and chef inspired but the portions were ssmallish and the prices were definitely on the higher side. Between the three of us, we ordered three plates to share family style. We had one mock tail and two soft drinks and our bill was close to $300. It was the very nice experience, but please be aware that you will not have huge portions here and expect to pay top dollar for your night out . For the most part, it was worth it in my opinion.

Yelp
It's simple... if you value being scene and posting that you ate @ NOBU well that's your choice,,, the sushi is below average...the ginger is just God awful... I thought I knew what I was getting into.. when you realize what you spent you should be upset...

Yelp
It was a little unassuming driving to this Nobu location as it's at the mall. It's a perk with the parking though. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time for larger groups but I ended up getting this to go this time around so didn't get to check out this location. As for what to get, be sure to get their infamous miso cod. This time around I ended up getting the edamame, toro roll, tuna roll, house special roll, and handrolls. The ingredients always taste fresh and super light + their presentation is always so nice to look at. Ordering in advance was super easy and was on time to what was quoted.

Yelp
stopped by for a quick bite and the food and service was nothing short of exceptional. the Pina Martini was refreshing and perfect for a hot day. the fish was also very fresh and tasty, my favorite was the fluke with garlic chips! i also absolutely loved the ambiance, very beautiful restaurant and lovely staff. i would highly recommend stopping by with a group or a cute date night!

Yelp
I'm not enough of a foodie to speak intelligently about the food. Someone ordered for us off the Omakase menu. Everything was great. Lots of nonalcoholic mocktails to choose from. My uncultured butt would have been fine at the Tokyo Express but if you have refined taste, treat yourself here. No kids menu, but they recommended the shrimp tempura for our 2yo and it was a great choice for him. It was enormous and he loved it.

Yelp
We've visited Nobu Scottsdale twice for special occasions - my husband's birthday and our anniversary. Each time, the food quality and knowledgeable service have been exceptional, making it our favorite spot. Looking forward to future visits with friends and family. Food 4/5, Service 5/5, Ambiance 5/5

Yelp
I love this Nobu location. It's way prettier than the Las Vegas location. This one has a nicer vibe. The sunlight comes in during the daytime. I love their lounge area when you first walk in. It's beautiful. They have the best tuna sashimi! It's always so fresh. I wish I could eat it everyday! I came here recently with a big group. It was my second visit to this location. We ordered around 10 different dishes, and the total was over $400. It's pricey but at least it's good quality and the ambiance is amazing. Our servers were awesome! They always came to check on us. They even surprised my friend with a birthday dessert. I will definitely be coming back on more special occasions!

Yelp
The food was amazing! Every, single dish was delicious and beautiful! The Salmon KSM was our favorite. In fact, we went back two days later (prior to a dinner reservation elsewhere) just to pregame with another Grapefruit on the rocks and the Salmon KSM!!!

We got this last minute reservation luckily and we're able to be seated on the patio. Our server was knowledgeable and went over the menus for us. We ordered some sake and miso soups to start. We also had the tempura shrimp, the sea bass, and the ribeye. We finished with dessert and espresso shots before our night out. Originally we wanted to try the banana foster but they were out. We went with the date cake instead, as it was recommended by our server. I really would love to come back just to try the banana dessert. I highly recommend this place

Yelp
Food was better than some Nobu locations I have visited! And waitstaff were amazing and attentive. The only negative was the hostesses (and there were many of them) gave away our table, refused to hold it for 5 min, and then made us wait 30 min for a new one. We made lemonade form lemons and didn't let us bring us down from enjoying our family time!

Yelp
Worst Nobu location compared to Malibu's and Newport's location. I always do a Nobu trip whenever I am in Southern California, and was excited that there was a Nobu in Scottsdale after moving in the area for school. However, I feel like the two times I've been here.. I had to wait for everything- from getting seated even though there were a lot of available seats, to getting the server's attention, and even for the food or drinks to come. The quality of the sushi rolls were also just underwhelming... For anyone who is interested to try this location and not do valet, there's parking offered by the mall.

Yelp
Incredible service, incredible food, incredible experience with the tequila ordering when three people come to your table. I wish I remembered what that was called, but it was pretty neat. They also gave us our seating of choice which I truly appreciated.

Yelp
Last night was my first experience at Nobu. Now I'm mad at myself for walking by the past years and not giving them a chance. Now I have a lot of catching up to do because there are so many things I want to try. My friend and I sat outside for a patio experience. We were immediately greeted with a drink menu. I was impressed with the non-alcoholic beverage options since I'm not a drinker. My friend loves her libations and happy to see a variety. She opted for the drink special for the month and I settled with the strawberry lemonade mocktail. Loved the drink setup but did not enjoy the drink. I settled for Ginger Beer for my next option and was pleased. Next we received the menu overview from cold to hot options. I was impressed by the level of service as I felt we had 2 servers who were extremely attentive. They did not miss a beat in recommendations and providing an overview. I ordered the sea salt edamame which was not warm as told but it was pretty good. I had the crispy rice soup which was amazing. My friend ordered the salmon or fish tacos which she enjoyed. Then we both had the rib eye. It was topped with crispy onions and laying in a bed of better. It is pre-sliced so you can enjoy it with chopsticks. For some reason that too was not warm or hot but it was still good we both enjoyed ours. For dessert we had the bento box which was served with warm chocolate molten style cake and green gelato dazzled with small chunks of strawberries. I will definitely be back for happy hour or dinner very soon. I want to try the sushi and many other things on the menu I want to try. You will be highly impressed with the service from the moment you walk through the door.

Yelp
Had a great experience for a Christmas dinner this year. Once in a blue moon experience. The service is exceptional and the food is overall very good. Everything is beautifully and thoughtfully prepared. I've done a lot of high end sushi and just didn't find this to be worth the price though. It is ludicrously expensive and there is only so much you can do to sushi to make it worth this price - this ain't it. This is a place to go so you can say you been. There is nothing to return back for. You can get everything here for half the price at other high end sushi/Japanese restaurants. I was heavily underwhelmed by the cocktails (except the smoked tequila old fashioned) and seafood soup (nothing special at all).

Yelp
We were here officially for a conference but it is also entirely possible that we are really here to eat at Nobu. The reputation reached even in Denver and we could not wait. In short: it did not disappoint. Our server: the perfect balance of respectful as well as a great guide to the menu. Some 'outrageous' dishes including the wagyu dumplings and the yellowtail jalapeño: do not miss. The rest of the food was also outstanding. So what if this meal puts you in the poorhouse? The journey was worth it.

Yelp
I had high expectations before arriving at nobu and left unfortunately feeling VERY underwhelmed. The food was pretty good. We ordered a variety of dishes all together soon after arriving. The service started out well but slowly became egregiously bad. I was the only one drinking out of the group and got the infamous lychee martini. It was mediocre. I have had much better lychee martinis for a better price point. Our first dishes were the shishito peppers and oysters. The peppers were fantastic and the sauce had kind of a unique nutty flavor I throughly enjoyed. The oysters were great quality but the toppings were downright bizarre. Micro greens on oysters seemed very odd to me and did not go together well. The whole group agreed the oysters would've been much better without the toppings. They were all very odd and didn't compliment the oysters well. We had the yellowtail sashimi next. I did not eat it but those that did partake said it was decent. The Brussel sprouts were probably our favorite dish along with the lobster/shrimp dish. We also ordered 2 sushi rolls and some nigiri. As I stated in the beginning of the review we ordered all of our food together after we received our first round of drinks. We got the dishes relatively close together but had to ask three different waiters/staff members for soy sauce which seemed a little ridiculous. After around an hour and a half we still had not received the sushi. Nor had our waiter checked on us in at least 30 minutes. At this point the restaurant had thinned out substantially so it couldn't really be blamed on being busy or the kitchen being backed up. I went to the hostess stand and asked to speak to a manager. The woman I spoke with told me of course and she would speak with her immediately. We ended up getting the sushi soon after but the manager never stopped by. The waiter didn't apologize for the wait nor for a lack of checking in or give any reason on why two sushi rolls and some nigiri took over an hour and a half to come out. We were super disappointed with the service and staff for such a high end restaurant. A simple check in or acknowledge of our wait time would've made a big difference. I joked that I have gotten better service at a chilis and it is true!! I don't know that I would ever dine here again quite honestly and would probably choose about any other restaurant in Scottsdale for a birthday dinner. While the food was tasty the service downright sucked and soured my friends birthday.

Yelp
Horrible!! Terrible service. Brought another tables food to our 2 times. Scallops worst I ever had. Corporate restaurant quality failure. Management totally not engaged in customer service. Don't waste your money or time. Never again will I go to a NOBU in the world.

Yelp
Probably top 5 places to enjoy people watching and the food is pretty amazing. Crispy rice tuna is the best anywhere... I'm pretty sure the location attracts some of the best talent in Scottsdale. Fat Ox/Ocean 44 may be close rivals but the food is better here!

Yelp
We went to Nobu to celebrate our friend's 40th birthday, and Oh boy, glad that we tried this place!! We initially planned to go to Taco Madera, just across the street, but ended up sitting in the world-renowned Japanese restaurant Nobu. Despite being a crowded Saturday, we were lucky enough to get a table for our walk-in entry. We were seated at the sushi counter, and the experience of having our food watching the skillful chefs preparing and decorating sushi plates was just unique and outstanding! None of us are sushi lovers, and it was our first time trying Japanese, so we sat utterly clueless about what to order. But, our server gave us some great recommendations which we enjoyed having so much!! We started with mocktails Yuzu strawberry calpico, Spicy lemonade, and Lychee Passion, which all needed extra honey syrup. Since we were starving, we directly ordered the main entrees, Shrimp and Lobster with Spicy Lemon garlic sauce, Dover sole with crispy spinach, fried okra, and finished off with a bento box for dessert. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful! The service is slow, it takes time and you get that because the place is crowded. It has such a great ambiance, so we actually didn't mind the wait time.!! It's an upscale restaurant so be prepared for the bill too
