The staff are lovely, and it was a joy to find a place with gluten free and vegan food. But the menu is rather dull and uninspired. We had gnocchi and the noodles. Main issue, I was looking forward to a scrumptious cappuccino and it was tasteless even after I added another shot of espresso. It's like a restaurant made by someone who doesn't really like food. But I am opinionated, so maybe it's just not food the way I like it. Otherwise, the staff were nice, the location is good and the food is pleasant.

I understand that this place is not a brunch place, however, on the website it said it was now serving it so I went with a friend to have brunch and for $15 you do not get much...the presentation was lacking any effort, the food was too simple and portions were to small for the price. Definitely NOT worth $15... And to make matters worse, my friend's crepe had MOLDY basil! She made the server aware of it and the server simply said, "it might have something to do with the microwave. Would you like us to remake it without basil?" and of course my friend, disgusted, switched her meal for something else. The server didn't show any sympathy at all...Absolutely ridiculous. Will never return.

I was looking forward to having a brunch at this place after reading all the good reviews. It was about an hour walk from the place where I stayed in Montreal and it was so worth while! I really like this place, it is very simple yet modern, the food is fantastic and very interesting and authentic paintings are on the wall. And it is right across the street from the Fine Art Museum. Basically - everything I wanted from Montreal condensed in one place. I very much recommend this place

I'm allergic to gluten and I was very happy to find a place where I can get a gluten free sandwich. I actually think Nocochi is about the only one in Montreal. I ordered Sandwich Niçoise to go. You have a choice of a side salad or baked potatoes with your sandwich so I took potatoes. You should add extra 3 $ for gluten free bread which is ok cos it's normally very expensive in grocery stores. I really enjoyed the sandwich and I came back several times for my lunch. I saw they also have lots of large salads and gluten free pastries. They also have gluten free French toasts on their Weekend Brunch menu that sounds good to me. I find the place really nice and the waiters look very friendly so I'll definitely come back with some friends.

Ordered the chevre and spinach sandwich on gluten-free bread. It was tasteless and they were so stingy with the cheese. On top of that, they charged an extra $4 for the gluten-free bread. Definitely not worth it. The biscuits are always delicious, especially the naan nokochi. The tea is so-so. The service was terrible! We waited 45 minutes to be served while I could see that the servers were doing nothing, i.e. rearranging pamphlets. The server was charming which compensated for the lack of service, but overall it was a bad experience. I would recommend this place if you want to go out for biscuits and tea with your lady friends, but don't order anything else.

So many good things to say about this cafe. I have been here twice in the same trip while visiting Montreal and am already missing their delicious sandwiches, coffee, and best of all, petit fours. Nocochi has the BEST macarons I have had outside of France. They were perfect in every way- smooth, slight crunch outside, soft middle, and velvety fillings. Pate de fruit was also excellent. I had the raspberry, lemon, and currant. All tasted great. There was an interesting chick pea chocolate cookie with a tender crumb, a hint of chocolate flavor, and melt in the mouth texture that is a must try. For lunch the three cheese baguette (chevre, emmental, mozzarella) with tomatoes, black olive tapenade and turkey did not disappoint. Also, the Nocochi chicken sandwich was very good and flavorful.

Well.....$40 for two....I had french toast which was 2 small pieces of brown bread, cut in half. They were very soggy and turing into mush before I even put syrup on them. My girlfriend had two eggs, over easy with fatty bacon, a piece of ham and sausage. The potatoes were cold, the coffee was $3.....This place absolutely sucks! It is not worth the money, not even half of the money what we paid for. The waitress was very nice and helpful with a few unrelated questions we had....I hope she finds another job and gets out of this self-pretencious crappy restaurant. I actually feel very angry paying that much for below average food. Do yourself a favour and steer clear of this pseudo art neauveau cuisine...terrible!

TERRIBLE food and APPALLING service. The TOILET BRUSH in the washroom needs to be replaced. There were a lot of bits olive pits in my olive spread. I asked to have the salad dressing on the side -- it wasn't. The waitress never came to check on our table.
