NOFO Hotel; BW Premier Collection, a Design Boutique Hotel Stockholm, Sweden

"Housed in a building from 1780, this charming boutique hotel is 300 metres from Medborgarplatsen Metro Station in Stockholm’s trendy Södermalm district. It offers a peaceful inner courtyard and free WiFi. The rooms of Nofo Hotel are decorated in one of three themes: Parisian Moulin Rouge, Urban Castle or Nordic Minimalism. Each have antique furniture, Persian rugs and luxury beds. Many rooms offer views of the courtyard or Katarina Church. Nofo Hotel is less than 15 minutes’ walk from Stockholm’s Old Town, and the Götgatan shopping street is just a few blocks away." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

I don’t normally review hotels as most of the ones I stay at are mere variations of “the same”. NOFO is an exceptional exception to that rule. As soon you step into the foyer you realize you’re in for a great experience. I had a Carnaby Street room that was cozy and overlooking the serene “park” across the road. Breakfast well above par. My new favourite hotel in Stockholm.

Very, very nice staff. Cozy hotel and very clean and nice rooms. If you wake up easy because of noise, you should ask for a room away from the street. We had the dog with us, and got a nice dog bed, food and water bowls.

Staying at this hotel was definitely the best choice I could have made. Its location is in a beautiful area, close to the city center. You can walk, but I mostly used public transportation; it’s very close to both bus and metro stops. What’s even better is that it’s not in the middle of the touristy chaos. Instead, it’s in a more upscale, tranquil neighborhood. Behind the hotel there’s a large park with a church and a cemetery, which allows for lovely greenery views from the room and waking up to birdsong in the morning was simply magical. The breakfast was outstanding. Although it’s a buffet, everything was homemade and high quality. It could get a bit crowded but enjoying such a breakfast in the open-air courtyard is something I doubt I could find in any other hotel. I didn’t get a chance to try the dinner or drinks since I had other reservations, but I’m sure it would have been enjoyable. I stayed in a compact double room; future guests should consider that the smaller room category might feel a bit tight. This was such a pleasant stay that it made me want to return to Stockholm again. It truly deserves the highest rating from start to finish.

I had Christmas buffet for a group of people at that restaurant in the hotel. The room was really cozy and located in the wine cellar. Buffet contained big variety of food, which was really delicious and the service was also really nice. I highly recommend the place.

We recently stayed at NOFO Hotel and overall had a very positive experience. The room was trendy and nicely decorated, with a cozy atmosphere. It did get a bit too warm at night and there was some noise from outside, but I still really liked the room. The breakfast was outstanding. It was easily one of the better I’ve had, with a wide selection, high-quality ingredients, and great coffee. There is limited parking available if you reserve in advance. I booked a spot by email on the day of arrival. Although the hotel confirmed the reservation, someone else who was not a guest had parked there, so I couldn’t use it. The staff apologized. There were no alternatives, so I parked at an indoor parking about 400 meters from the hotel. We also had dinner at the hotel, which was a great experience. The sharing dishes were especially good. The only downside was the oysters, which tasted too sour because of the garnish. Everything else was very tasty. The hotel has a cozy and trendy feel. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely consider staying here again next time I’m in Stockholm.

Hotel NOFO is a true gem in Södermalm. The hotel’s mix of historic charm and modern comfort creates a welcoming atmosphere, the rooms are spotless and cozy, and the breakfast is excellent. Its location is ideal for exploring one of Stockholm’s most vibrant neighborhoods. A special mention goes to Bella at reception, who was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of her way to help me understand the area and discover great local spots. Her warm and professional approach made our stay feel even more memorable.

Staying here is quite an experience :) The hotel has a burlesque vibe that's just delightful. It's located right in the city center and this helped a lot, as we traveled with our 7yo daughter. Heads up, you need to book the hotel parking space separately. If you can't find any, there is a public one 5min away so all good. The staff was nice and the breakfast was delicious - they even had carrot cake and godis :).

This is an amazing boutique hotel. If you’re into uniquely designed spaces and being delighted by unusual (somewhat quirky) decor this place is for you! The staff are amazing. The outdoor courtyard doubles as a quiet and relaxed lounge by day and a buzzy wine bar / restaurant by night.

Yelp
One of my favorite hotels ever. The single room was absolutely perfect. Cozy and comfortable. I loved the window bench. The breakfast is delicious. The courtyard is just lovely and the wine bar has wonderful selections to wind down after a busy day. I will be back.

Yelp
We stayed here for 3 nights and it was so much fun. It's a boutique hotel with each floor themed as a different location around the world. The attention to all the details made our stay super special. We had a mishap with some laundry and the staff was so helpful until we located it. They have included breakfast each morning that is an amazing spread, as well as an onsite wine bar every night. It's a nice walk through neighborhoods to get to Gamla Stan and Kings Garden areas. The rooms don't have AC but they provide fans which ended up being just right. It was our anniversary and they made a cute little welcome gift to kick off our celebration! Would absolutely stay here again!

Yelp
This is a great hotel that is quiet, quaint and the staff goes well beyond to make you comfortable. Note that they do not have air conditioning and if it is warm, be ready. They do provide fans for the room if that is the case. My original room was very hot and with small wi does. They tried hard to give me a cooler room. They were super thoughtful and caring. Also, they have a great breakfast in the morning for free. Very good and high quality as far as hotel breakfast goes.

Yelp
This is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. It is clean and comfortable and beautifully designed and decorated! The courtyard is amazing and you might be lucky enough to get the hammock, if not, don't worry because there are multiple sitting areas that are just waiting to host you. The staff is so friendly and helpful and the breakfast served in the morning is beyond our wildest imaginings! If you EVER stay in Stockholm, put this on your list as it is close to public transportation, within walking distance of great restaurants and pubs, but far enough away that you don't need to hear all the partying.

Yelp
We stayed here for five nights, and had a wonderful experience. The location was perfect in that it was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy areas, but also had plenty of nearby trendy cafes and restaurants. We very much enjoyed staying in Sodermalm, and Nofo Hotel was close to the transit system, which was easily accessible and convenient. The hotel staff were friendly, the room was clean and stylishly decorated. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom spacious with a great shower. Really though the breakfasts stole the show; included in our stay was the buffet style breakfast, which was more than we could even have hoped for. We definitely plan on going back to Stockholm, as six days was not enough time to see everything we'd like, and we'll absolutely stay at Nofo Hotel again!

Yelp
This place is amazing. The rooms and staff are fantastic and the themes are very cool, but my god, the breakfast. The rooms could have lice (they definitely didn't), the staff could've ignored me the whole time (they absolutely did not), and the theme could've been Chernobyl post meltdown and I still would give this place at least 3 stars for the breakfast alone. I don't think I'll ever start my morning as happy and full as I did those 4 beautiful mornings I spent at NOFO. Take me back.

Yelp
There are only a handful of wine bars in Stockholm that I take seriously (or any city for that matter), and NoFo is one of them. It is kind of a quiet place, with a warm feel and an inviting wine-list. Not too much prestige around the wines, but still, I can see that the staff/ owner are wine-lovers. Two things about the bar really made an impression on me: the friendly service (they even helped me carry some heavy stuff in) and the champagne list. There were only three champagnes on the list and only sold by the bottle (a minus on not having any champagne by the glass), but they were good champagnes, with a capital G. Larmandier-Bernier, Francis Boulard and Olivier Horiot, wonderful producers all of them. And the most expesive bottle (Horiot's Sevé) was 700 SEK, that is a very good price level for Stockholm. As the only sparkling by the glass was a Prosecco, I opted for a glass of white wine, a Chardonnay from Loire. For the bar's defense, the Prosecco was at least not entry level, but it still had the overly fruity taste that I personally find a bit disturbing. It was not bad, but just not my style of bubbly. I encourage others to of course try it. And try you can! The bartender was friendly and professional enough to let me taste the wines before making my choice. My Chardonnay was served to the table, perfectly chilled and in a nice Orrefors glass. Otherwise, there were around three whites and reds and one rose wine by the glass. This is not that many, but as long as the choices are good, I don't mind. Also, I am hoping that people will find this place, so that they have a chance to expand their selection. As for the ambiance, the place does not stand out that much. I really like the bar, with all bottles nicely presented on the table. It kind of feels like being invited to someones kitchen. I also love the peaceful inner yard; it is great sitting there with a glass of wine on a warm summer evening. The problem with that is only the Swedish weather, but on a nice day it is fabulous. All in all, I am pleased by the new, friendly addition to the wine-scene in Stockholm. NoFo is definitely a place where I will bring my friends in the summer when they are visiting. Then I will perhaps be able to have some of the wonderful champagnes by the bottle.

Yelp
PLEASE NOTE: THIS HOTEL IS NOW CALLED NOFO - name change effective approximately 6/5/15 (was previously called The Columbus Hotel). Enjoyed a wonderful stay in this old and extremely quaint hotel. I'd wholeheartedly recommend a room with a beautiful view of the churchyard - very quiet and lovely and punctuated by the ringing of the bells. No elevator to my knowledge (42 steps up to second floor) and bare bones bathroom. Courtyard is wonderfully European (potted plants, brick and cobblestone, bicycle and lamps) and the complimentary breakfast spread fabulous. Very nice staff, too. Located on trendy Södermalm - I highly recommend it.

Yelp
Staying here now, and we love it. Just came from a hotel with a really good breakfast, but this place's breakfast was even better! Slightly unusual as it is in the back of a courtyard, but it is worth. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. European hotels often do not provide ice, but the staff at midnight made a special trip to get us some. Weaving through the halls to the room was funky, but loved it, and the room was not only comfortable, but it had quite the elegant Nordic look. Highly recommend this hotel!
