Nohga Hotel Kiyomizu Kyoto

Awesome stay in Kyoto! The room was super spacious, and we even got a free upgrade. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the concierge helped us book a local restaurant reservation. One of the best hotel breakfasts i’ve ever seen: set meals plus a buffet with fresh pastries, bread, and fruit from the hotel’s own bakery. The rooftop bar was beautiful at sunset and had amazing cocktails. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kyoto!

Pleasant room with comfortable bed and excellent shower. Service was friendly and the rootop bar was very pleasant with good cocktails and very professional service. The breakfast was "meh"-- all western foods and relatively few choices. Large batches of pre-made tea (only one kind) and coffee (bitter) dispensed from big carafes, like on an airplane. They charged extra for espresso drinks, which seemed chintzy for a $400!per night luxury property. Overall this is a nice but not exceptional hotel.

Did a lot of research on hotels in Kyoto and settled on Nohga Hotel. Wife and I were very impressed. Kind of a younger hip crowd but great for older guests as well. Rooftop bar, 24/7 washing machines, rooms, and same day inexpensive dry cleaning service were appreciated. Hotel is a little away from hustle and bustle, but quick taxi rides anywhere. Concierges Rimpei and Moe were fantastic. They answered all our questions and provided great advice and insight. Well done Rimpei and Moe!

From the outside, it is unassuming... but when you enter, you are greeted with excellent hospitality and the smells of a French Bakery on-site. The rooms are nice, clean, and well-appointed. What sets this hotel above others is the incredible care and priority they give to their dining options. Every venue, every menu item, and every cocktail was well-crafted, curated, and well-balanced... the tastes were soooo good! Service from the staff and the concierge was very polite, helpful, and informative... all with8n walking distance from many of the top sites in Kyoto. We will be back!

The Nohga is a beautiful hotel with a great customer orientated team .|The location is excellent with easy access to a multitude of amenities both for cultural and dining experiences . |The general fabric of the building is of a high quality .|The cafe style foyer though small offers comfortable chairs and it’s jewel in the crown is the on-site bakery where you can watch the bakers roll their magic dough ! . |The breads , sandwiches and pastries on offer are just delicious .|The bedroom was spacious and the bed / mattress critically comfortable . |The restaurant Cicon offered a variety of great plates, we shared the calamari starter ,a spicy pomodora with noodles and buttered spinach . We chose two glasses of the Californian Chardonnay which was delicate on the palate ,all very reasonably priced .|I had better mention the roof top bar which is a wonderful space to enjoy a drink ,chill and watch the sun set. |The Nohga Hotel , Kyoto is indeed a top class place to stay with a wonderful team determined to make your stay enjoyable , Arigato , guys ❤️❤️

Very comfortable and spacious rooms, great breakfast and dinner options. They were able to help me eat gluten free both for breakfast and dinner. They also have a cafe with delicious matcha and gluten free snacks. I gave it a star off because we used the laundry services which claimed to use a special system that did not need detergent but it left our clothes smelling funky which was very upsetting. My husband and I used different washing machines and both loads did not smell great.

Well licated hotel within walking distance to train station. Loved having laundry facilities. We enjoyed the delicious food at breakfast and at the Rooftop Bar in the evening. Helpful and pleasant staff made our stay comfortable and most memorable. Thank you 🙏🏻

i want to express my gratitude for the stay and the whole crew. from the first moment on we felt so comfortable. the team was so nice and everyone was always so helpful. we’ve been to many different hotels in japan and this was by far our favorite! the breakfast was the best we had in any hotel ever. the bread was freshly made and everything else was also very fresh and tasted amazing. we also had dinner 2 times in a row because it was so delicious. we also grabbed some things from the bakery shop in the lobby which was also very tasty. the rooms were spotless clean, the shower was amazing and the beds comfy. they have a smoking room on the first floor which is convenient. we were also able to wash and dry our laundry there every day, which we highly appreciate. i could also rent a straightening iron from the front desk as mine wasnt working because of the voltage difference. they also had a gym which was very pleasant. they also rent bicycles, but would plan ahead as they are gone quickly. all in all i would choose to come here again and again! thank you all very much for everything! can highly recommend.
