NOHGA HOTEL UENO TOKYO

A cool boutique hotel in a quaint neighborhood just a short walk away from UENO station. Location is great to get around and also to take the Skyliner train to the airport. There are lots of cafes and restaurants too. In fact, a PRONTO cafe just next door which is very convenient. As well as many convenience stores. Hotel has a cool modern design and great vibes . Staff is helpful and tries their best to please. Room is compact and yet feel spacious and functional. The shower is super great and bed is so comfy. We found it a bit dark at night tho. Breakfast was so so good although the queue can be a bit long during peak hours. Breakfast ending at 10am was a bit early we felt. The hotel restaurant has great food and service. We had our new year eve dinner there and it was wonderful. Overall, a great hotel that ticks most of the boxes . Highly recommended

Relatively new hotel with modern decor. Really liked the vibes/design of the hotel and room. We found the room pretty spacious for Tokyo, def enough space to open two luggage. Under 10 min walk from JR Ueno (plus no need to climb stairs) so that was good for us with the luggage. Hotel is on the less bustling side of Ueno, but still very convenient for us to access the busy Ameyoko side of Ueno. We didn’t dine there but we always saw lots of locals dining at the lobby bistro, so I would think it must be pretty good.

We stayed at Nohga Hotel Ueno for 4 nights in the deluxe king room, and I’m so glad we did! The room was spacious enough for two of us with three pieces of luggage, offering plenty of room to move around. We enjoyed the bath, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Pillows are soft, it would be nice to have a variety of pillows. Housekeeping is minimal due to their eco-cleaning services which is good, although one of the cleaning days, the housekeeping staff didn’t replace our dirty towels which we left in the bath tub. No big issue though as we just asked for new ones when we got back. The hotel staff are all exceptionally welcoming and friendly, and I loved the calming scent in the lobby—it really set the tone for a relaxing stay. The breakfast buffet was a highlight. It was delicious, with high-quality ingredients, and definitely worth the price. Be sure to book in advance for a small discount! I looked forward to breakfast every morning, and the Japanese set was an absolute must-try. The hotel is in a quiet, calm neighborhood, which was perfect for unwinding after a busy day. It’s conveniently located near Ameyoko and Ueno Station, making it easy to explore the area. I’ve already recommended this hotel to friends traveling to Tokyo and would love to stay here again on our next visit. Highly recommend it!

Wonderful experience with very friendly staff! The room was clean and tidy. I especially enjoyed the welcome drinks! All the daily products such as lotion, face cleanser and toothbrush are all very high quality. I especially like the design of the room which the toilet is separated into dry and wet sections. Highly recommended!!!

It was a great pleasure to stay in Nogha Hotel, the location is excellent with just about 10 min walk from Ueno JR. The information desk is helpful in advising us to take the elevator near exit 2 so we did not need to carry the luggages up the stairs. The hotel is clean and nicely designed.  The most attractive part of the room is the B&O Bluetooth speaker. There are many restaurants around the hotel which we can find many delicious choices.

Hotel location is greater, close to the station, easy to get to other attractions. Staff are nice, welcoming drinks are offered. They provided free amenities, you can get some facial cleansing products at the lobby. The hotel is new and full of Christmas vibe, great place to stay.

Absolutely loved our stay at NOHGA Hotel Ueno! The hotel has a stylish and modern design with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The attention to detail, from the high-quality amenities to the beautifully curated decor, really stands out. The location is fantastic—perfect for exploring Ueno and beyond. It’s an easy walk to Ueno Park, museums, and plenty of great restaurants and cafés. The on-site restaurant is also excellent, with delicious food and a great ambiance. Overall, an incredible stay with a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and style. Would absolutely stay here again!

Great hotel! Within walking distance of Ueno Station, which is a perfect spot for exploring Tokyo, as several subway and train lines run from here. At the same time, the hotel is in a very quiet location, you can hear very little of the hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel itself is clean and new, matches the description. The staff is also great, very helpful and extremely polite. They offer luggage storage before check-in and after check-out and several bikes for rent.
