I was in Ashville for the birthday celebration, which had me and my 10 friends touring and participating in experiences that spoke specifically to the black experience in Asheville. Alexandria, the owner of Noir Collective AVL, was extremely welcoming, which made our time in her store all the more special. Everyone looked and brought something out of this excellent spot, including art, jewelry, books, t-shirts, hats, etc., that reflects the creativity of the artisans she showcases. Not only is this cool storefront a must-see but it is also located on "The Block," a historical site in itself. When I return to Asheville, I'll be back at Noir Collective AVL.
