We were a large group of eight people including two children. The food was delicious and hot. We had the chicken skewers and vegetable rolls. My husband and I had the duck curry and chicken pad thaï. The curry was creamy and savory. As for the pad thaï, it was delicious and slightly different than some of the ones found in North America. The taste was more authentic, not as sweet. My daughter had the dumplings (starter) as a main course. There was also a kid's menu, but it was fried chicken fingers and rice. My friends had the vegetable Pad thaï, the grilled chicken curry and the prawn dish (forgot the name). The portion was a good size. Perhaps we were hungry, but there was no food on the plate!

Me and my family have visited this restaurant. What a great experience! From the start, they let us book a table at 20:45, which is very sweet of them, since their kitchen closes at 21. After they sat us down, they helped us with the menu, which was very helpful! The wait for the food was not that long (about 10-20 minutes). The food was absolutely delicious! Everything we had, we ate and left no crumbs on the plate:) And during all of this, our waiter was very nice and super friendly! He definitely put a smile on our faces. Overall, we’re very happy with how we were served and will definitely come back here once again!

The Pad Thai is delicious, with a nice plating. The taste tends to be sweeter than the real Pad Thai. If would be better if the food is served hotter.

What can I say food was absolutely delicious, service was top notch.

Small, very busy restaurant with fantastic service, the food wasn’t quite what I was expecting, perhaps I ordered the wrong thing but I just didn’t find it that authentic. The tempura prawns were definitely more panko and the Thai curry sauce was very thick and clawing, I ordered with medium rare steak but unfortunately it arrived more rare and unrested resulting in the bloody juices leaking into the coconut cream sauce which just looked very unpleasant. On a positive the crab dumplings (I think that’s what they were) were really tasty and again the staff were all really friendly.

Arguably the best Thai dining experience in Edinburgh! Nok’s Kitchen delivers authentic, vibrant flavors in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Excellent value for money, with quick and friendly service. Don’t skip dessert—they’re a must-try! Alcohol-free beer is available, and reservations are highly recommended.

Google
First time at Nok’s kitchen, amazing food, and brilliant service, took our 12 year old son for a special family occasion and he loved the sizzling stir fry, very good portion sizes. Definitely recommend the shared starter, and my partner was raving about his nutty curry, will definitely be back

Yelp
Nok's was good. It's so small so they couldn't fit us in for table. We landed on take away and got green curry, pad thai and chicken satay. Good spice level, packaged well for take away and really good flavors.

Yelp
Unfortunately, they couldn't accommodate us due to the fact they were busy. Additionally, we didn't have a reservation. The restaurant was very cute and the hostess was friendly. Given the crowd, I assume it's a great place to dine. The food looked very authentic from what we could see.

Yelp
We happened to be staying near the Royal Mile in Edinburgh and wanted some good Asian food. NOK did not disappoint. Service was wonderful and the ladies were so attentive. Food was delectable! Wish I had this restaurant back home!

Yelp
On my first visit here, we blindly walked in hoping for a table but they were completely full. After being turned away, we came back a week later with reservations. Make sure you make reservations, which get filled up quick as well. And let me start by telling you that the reservations to eat here is damn worth it! Upon entering, the space is quite limited with seating, but decorated very classy and nice. It has a bit of an old school charm about it. As soon as we were seated, our glasses were filled with water. Might I add, they were amazing at refilling our water throughout dinner. Between the two of us, we shared the Beauty Crab (£6.95) to start. I was immediately drawn to this appetizer from the presentation from photos. The best part is that not only was the crab stuffed curry in a crispy roll beautifully done, it was even more delicious! The three savory cones also had a nice kick of spice, crunch, and flavor making an amazing combination. We also shared two entrees: Chicken Panang Curry (£10.95) with Jasmine Rice (£2.95) and King Prawn Pad Thai (£11.95). If you made me decide which one I liked more, I truly couldn't even pick. Both dishes were divine and truly authentic to Thai cuisine. I have to say that the Pad Thai is an absolute must here for the exquisite presentation from the banana leaves to the flower-shaped carrots. This is the level of quality you find at Chinese weddings from the way they handcrafted the edible decors on each plate. Definitely one of my favorites in Edinburgh. While it's a tad pricier than other Thai spots in the area, the quality and craftsmanship of the food makes this place worthwhile.

Yelp
One of the best Thai restaurants in a very touristy area! Loved it! Pad Se Ew very good with prawns.

Yelp
Reservations are KEY for eating anywhere in Edinburgh! We got very lucky and arrived right at opening and were able to stay without feeling rushed, which was much appreciated. Our meal was really good-- we had the chicken satay to begin, and finished with green curry and thai basil. Both dishes were excellent. I personally wish they were spicier, but it's all down to personal preference. The restaurant is small but beautifully decorated. We dressed up just a little (snappy casual) and didn't feel out of place. The food was a bit more on the expensive side for Thai and what we're used to, but hey, can't complain when it tastes good!

Yelp
We had been sampling Thai food throughout the UK. Nok's Kitchen was solid - not a blow you away experience. We started with the crab curry "cones" and chicken roll. Chicken roll was dry - needed a bit of sauce. Crab "cones" were probably the best dish of the meal with seafood flavor backed by a nice curry flavor. For mains we split the panang curry (red) and soft shell crab curry (yellow). Both were solid - panang maybe a bit too much coconut milk mellowed out the flavor. Both didn't have a ton of depth and for 3 pounds would expect more rice because one wasn't enough to split. Good serve and overall experience!

Yelp
We stopped in here after walking all around the city all day, and as our first day in Edinburgh had no idea you had to have reservations before you could think about eating dinner anywhere. They said if we ate within the hour we could stay, SOLD! Such tasty food, small place, friendly staff. We had pad thai and a curry. It was so good, especially after our long day out, really hit the spot. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Stockbridge- but make a reservation!

Yelp
Really great Thai food and service. We walked in and they seated us even though their reservations kept them full up. Loved the Panay Currie, Cashew chicken and the Mossamon Currie.

Yelp
Arrived to a yummy late lunch of noodles and chicken in a spicy broth with a side of spring rolls and chai. Great pick me up after long walking day. Prices and service great! Love the stylish feel to this small jewel.

Yelp
It was late at night and they were super crowded, so we ordered takeaway. The food was absolutely delicious! I will definitely eat here on my next trip to Edinburgh.

Yelp
The best Thai food I think I have ever eaten. This cozy, busy place is worth making a reservation.

Yelp
Prawn phad thai, contained 4 prawns, too few for the amount of noodles, and was very greasy. Peanut topping very chunky and sparse. Overall, not impressed at all. Veg spring rolls, small, bland with store grade chilli dipping sauce. Chilli chicken was very battered and greasy also. Overall a fail. Will not be back.

Yelp
If there was ever a reason to go back to Edinburgh, aside from the obvious fact that it's absolutely gorgeous there, it would be hands down to eat at Nok's again. One of the best Tom Kha (coconut soup) and Tom Yum (hot & sour soup) I've ever had in my short life. It's unfortunate that I didn't get to try more, but on a cold windy and rainy night, those soups saved my life... I'm still craving/thinking about it three weeks later! FYI - make a reservation, no matter the party size. The restaurant is average size but it gets packed really quick and there isn't exactly a waiting area.

Yelp
Awesome Thai food! Had the pad Thai and cashew chicken. Both were very good and the service was good too!

Yelp
Delicious food , presented beautifully. Great price and service. I recommend this restaurant to everyone .
