Noku Kyoto

Stayed in this hotel for a few days, and was very pleased with the location, quality and above all the staff service, they were very helpful and went above and beyond to try to make us feel welcome and happy. I had been looking for a particular snack for days and asked them where I could find it, they signposted me which I was thankful for, but was very surprised when they surprised me with some of the snacks at the hotel and also signposted me to a closer location. Reception staff English language was also very good which helped us a lot when discussing travel plans and best routes/transport to take. Thank you so much Emi Nagao, Miku Tanaka and Yann Mamonoff for an amazing service and for making our stay wonderful.

Noku was underwhelming hotel for the price. Paid 300 per night but the room was medicore. Its nice and clean and close to station in a good area. Room we stayed at had no view. Had a view of a wall see picture lol and had pool of water below of windows. We had much better hotel at osaka half the price. I was little disappointed. Room has air purifier and not sure why but maybe for good reason but i had to clean air filters myself as it was dusty. I dont think i can recommend this hotel for the price but if it was cheaper would been good hotel to stay. Spacious and nice clean entrance. I think there are better hotels for a better price if you look close in this area. I asked about no view in a room but no change was made but apology was provided.

Stayed here for two nights and loved it! The rooms were so relaxing and comfortable. I LOVED the tea set up they had in each room it was such a fun touch that made the experience different from other hotels. I also thought all the bathroom supplies were above and beyond! They had everything in the bathroom including hair ties, bath salts, and more. The staff was truly so helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed 5 nights at this hotel and had a great experience. Room was very spacious and the staff was polite and helpful. Location is excellent. Closed to the metro station but also a lot of bus stops nearby that we used to go to the temples.

Room was very spacious. The location is about a 10min bus ride away to Nishiki Market. The bus stop to many attractions was right around the corner. There is also a family mart and 7/11 on the same block.

An excellent hotel in a convenient location. Our room was large and had tasteful Japanese design elements. The room was quiet with very comfortable beds. We are on the 4th floor. The staff was friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was satisfactory but could be improved with more selections.

The rooms were spacious and had water, coffee and tea replenished daily. Located next door to a subway so easy to get everywhere. McDonald’s and 7-11 right nearby in a quiet area near the palace. As a family we had 2 rooms which were 2 floors apart unfortunately, but it worked ok for us in the end. Reception were very friendly.

A wonderfully comfortable stay with elegant Japanese décor that exudes warmth and charm. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, offering swift, seamless service that made me feel truly welcome. The Singaporean restaurant just downstairs is an absolute gem—bursting with rich, authentic flavors and a cozy atmosphere that makes it hard to leave. I’ll happily choose this hotel every time I’m in Kyoto.

I stayed here two out of the three nights in Kyoto and I was happy with my stay. I would recommend going with the Japanese style breakfast and not the western one, I'm just not a fan of the Japanese approximation of sausages. The staff was definitely very helpful and friendly. The room was pretty large-especially when compared to other hotels in Japan. The location was good too, you can't really o anywhere in Japan and not hit a convenience store but it's close to both the subway and bus-which we took and it's within walking distance to a palace or two.

My sister and I stayed at Noku Kyoto for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience! It is in a great location, located right next to a subway station as well as a bus stop (it may sound odd, but buses are often the most convenient way of getting around in Kyoto). The staff were so friendly and helpful. They have 2 breakfast options (western or japanese). We had the Japanese breakfast all three mornings -- we loved it so much! There are two options for the Japanese breakfast. The waiter is so kind and attentive. The rooms were lovely as well. Very clean and came with all of the luxuries of a more "well known" luxury hotel chain. They even provided matcha flavored snacks every day! Overall, we absolutely loved our stay at Noku Kyoto. Would definitely go back!

Very nice hotel. Only one I have stayed at in Japan. Excellent service and value. Beds were very firm and not my preference but clean. Nice park across street. Free wi-fi and smart phone came with our room.

Its a nice hotel right next to the subway entrance and there's an elevator to the subway across the street. The room is small and tight and our keys were finicky. Sometimes they wouldn't work and we'd have to go to the front desk to get them to fix it. The Japanese breakfast was very good. It was rice with thin slices of beef, miso soup, and a salad. I preferred it over the American which there were 3 types, one with pancakes, croissants, and cheese and ham toast. There isn't that much to do in the area. Everything is a little far to walk to so we took taxis and the subway. The Nishiki Market shopping is very fun and its about a mile or 2 away.

Fantastic customer service. Good breakfast just too too many options. Right next door to a 24 hour convenience store and across from a McDonalds. Also has a subway station right next door (exit 4). Definitely a great and safe place to lay your head.

the hotel and room are absolutely awesome. the breakfast and bar area are lacking. our room was gorgeous and super spacious. you can tell this is a boutique type hotel and i really like that when i travel. the staff was very friendly and spoke English, so that helped a lot. where i think this place needs an upgrade is in the restaurant and bar area. i was expecting a much better variety for breakfast, but instead got a lot of...bread! although the bar in the basement was stocked with a lot of different Japanese whiskeys, the place was a little dead and dark. i do recommend this spot to future travelers. the area is a bit away from the action in kyoto, but it's only a subway stop away.

We stayed one evening at this hotel for a day in Kyoto. Very good location near the Kyoto Imperial Palace and metro station. We found the staff very accommodating and friendly. As an added plus, the breakfast includes a choice between local or Western cuisine - a nice touch! Would recommend for an affordable stay.
