What can I say about this hotel. The experience was absolutely outstanding. It was one of the few times I felt right at home. The lounge area in the lobby feels like the living room of your house. There’s a sense of peace that you can truly feel as soon as you step in. The service is impeccable . Super professional staff. The surroundings are beautiful with gardens around the main building . The pool is huge and the onsen are private and relaxing . Not too crowded. Rooms are huge and comfortable with absolutely everything, including skin Care. Beds were the best I slept in Tokyo ( and we stayed in very nice hotels) In a nutshell, I would definitely come back and stay more than two days because it is well worth it.

We had a fantastic one-night stay at NOL Hakone Resort. Everything was perfect from start to finish. We reserved the restaurant a day in advance, exactly as mentioned several times in the booking details — so people should really read the information carefully before complaining about the restaurant reservation or the hotel’s location! The service was outstanding — every staff member we met was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The onsen is small but very cozy and peaceful, with an outdoor terrace perfect for relaxation. Our room was spacious, spotless, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We honestly don’t understand the negative reviews. For us, it was a wonderful and memorable experience — we’ll definitely return!

Had a wonderful time. If you plan to walk to the hotel, it's a hike! They offer shuttle van services in a nice and comfortable van. Loved the room (standard japanese / western style room), so so spacious and comfortable. The bathtub is a cute round big stone tub! My room had a nice mountainous view, really nice to sip coffee/tea in the morning while seated on the little chair / table by the window. Breakfast selection was healthy spread. They have a private onsen with small cosy outdoor section. Do bring your swimming attire (no tshirts and shorts allowed) else no entry to the pool! They gave us a cute welcome little plastic tumbler too! Really loved my stay here.

Service and amenities were excellent but hotel transportation is inadequate for visitors to this area. You are basically relying on prearranged hotel food service unless you like Italian every night or else there is no reliable way of getting into Gora or nearby eateries safely especially at night. Uber or taxis are unreliable and non existence while we were there. We ended up buying food during the day and use hotel microwave to heat up our dinner.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at this hotel. The room was perfectly cleaned and warm, offering a comfortable retreat. We havn’t booked the shuttle bus service from Gora Station in advance but texted the hotel and they arranged it for us promptly—great service recovery! Using shuttle bus or taxi is highly recommend, as the local roads are not the best for walking. We booked the room with both dinner and breakfast. Regarding dinner, we feel that the negative reviews likely come from guests who missed the hotel's advance email that the reservation is required, the cuisine is not Japanese, but it was truly delicious and high-quality. The only minor note is that drinks are an extra cost, even with the dinner plan. The breakfast had a wide and delicious variety. Overall, a fantastic and highly recommended stay.

Very nice room and private onsen. However, if you want a calm place to enjoy with your partner I don’t recommend at all. Employees were pretty cold but it’s not a big deal. But shouting kids until night and from 7 am was really horrible.. I was shocked no one said nothing. Also the pool was also just a playground for loud kids so I don’t recommend at all.. There was multiple families who didn’t pay attention to their kids behavior so I think it happens a lot. Would not go back, we were happy to only have 1 night.

Whether I wanted a hearty meal or something lighter, everything was delicious and prepared with quality ingredients. Most importantly, the staff made the stay unforgettable. They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their genuine warmth and professionalism made me feel truly welcomed and valued. Oh, and the free coffee, tea and infused water at the reception lounge was a welcomed treat! Overall, this hotel delivers an outstanding experience — beautiful surroundings, lovely ambiance, wonderful accommodation, great food, and excellent hospitality. I can’t wait to return.

The room is spacious and very relaxing. The amenities are complete with a kata (robe) for outside wear and pajamas for inside. The lounge has free flowing drinks and coffee. The onsen and pool were also great!
