Such an awesome gem found when driving on Magazine St. The guy who works there is super knowledgeable and friendly. He offered to ship our purchased items back to our house for a low price and even stayed open after 5pm to chat about artists. Very cool stop!

Google
Good selection of vinyl. Small store but there was a DJ playing music while I shopped. It was a nice vibe. I bought a Cajun record for $20.

Google
Great little record store that I'm glad to have stumbled into. Traded recommendations with the very friendly staff member whose name I failed to get, but he mentioned he pressed some of the records there by hand. Might have to go back again tomorrow before I leave!

Google
Sure packs a punch for as small as the place is! Stupendous vinyl selection, a rad t shirt rack, and a knowledgeable, friendly staff. Plus any place that sells local musicians' stuff deserves lots of love!

Google
A super legit record store on Magazine Street in NOLA. They have a turntable you can use for listening which is really cool. They had a live Marvin Gaye record playing when I came in. I found some awesome singles from the 80s and got them for a great price. They have a huge selection and the staff is really helpful! NOLA Mix Records rules.

Google
Let's place was pretty cool. I found a live Fleetwood Mac album that is usually pretty hard to find they have some pins that you can buy I bought a Stevie Nicks one I do think the pins were a little bit overpriced but I really wanted it. Interesting the art on the wall is interesting. I do think they could have a better variety and it would have been nice if the guy behind the counter would have even greeted us but other than that it was a nice store and it was a good place to go to while in New Orleans

Google
Great selection of vinyl records here and next to some delicious coffee shops. Large selection of New Orleans sounds. Surprisingly, there were plenty of Latin records (salsa, meringue), which are hard to find even in New York. If you're an audiophile and vinyl collector, make sure to stop by here on your way to the garden district.

Google

Yelp
I approached this shop about the possibility of trading some of my used cds that I no longer listened to for used cds in their store. The young man in charge that day said I should deal directly with the owner who would be on premises the next day. I came back with 9 of my cds & asked if the owner would consider a trade. He said that he did not usually engage in trades, but without hesitation he said sure and let me pick out 9 used cds for a straight trade. It took awhile to go through the shop's jumbled collection of used cds, but I ultimately succeeded. Overall a pleasant experience, although I will say that the vast majority of the used cds he had for me to choose from were not to my liking.

Yelp
Great selection of hip hop, funk and soul (and other music genres). I Found a couple of gems and not a long dig which I appreciated as I was on vacation. Lots of New Orleans local hip hop music and paraphernalia. Lots of underground music. Stuff not commonly found at other stores.

Yelp
A cool shop on Magazine street in the Lower Garden district. The guy running this place was jammin to some cool music, WAR, when I walked in. I was able to find a few good records here from local jazz based artist. I also picked up a cool baseball cap that was created by a local artist. Be sure to stop by this spot as you could potentially run across something pretty unique to the area

Yelp
The best of the 3 record stores I visited in New Orleans. A listening station, reasonable prices, and not oversaturated with re-issues like most records stores are today. I especially appreciated their "alternative 80s" section, which allowed me to discover several artists I hadn't heard of before.

Yelp
Awesome record shop with a great variety of vinyl from all kinds of genres. They also carry a bunch of fun music related items (saw a pair oh Pharcyde Lakai shoes that were dope). It's awesome that it's in a great area so you can make a day out of record shopping.

Yelp
Visiting NOLA and was in the neighborhood. Stores been open for 2 weeks, and they have a great selection and the quality of the records was amazing. Picked up some Iron Maiden and Al Green, naturally. Lay out is simple. Lots of genres with lots of local styles available.

Yelp
This record store was amazing! It was relatively small but it had an amazing selection of records. The music playing in the store was fantastic and the guy working there was very nice and helpful. We were able to buy 12 records for a very reasonable price. Totally recommend!

Yelp
It's a small store but the prices are reasonable. The person working was also super nice and chatted about other record stores in the area that I might like to check out. I'd recommend a stop if you're in town.

Yelp
Stopped by on weekend trip and found a couple good finds in the new arrivals bin Smaller selection but decent assortment of vintage rock vinyl at fair prices

Yelp
Cool (literally) little joint that feels like a blast from the past. We stopped in just to get an A/C break on our walk down Magazine Street. It was fun to flip through the records! Prices seemed reasonable although that's hard to categorize when it come is vinyl music nowadays. If you're a collector or appreciate still using a turntable, make sure to check this place out.

Yelp
Great experience, you can not believe how many records and what a great variety you can find here! Every time I go to a new place I look for the record store, this one was a big and happy surprise! And very reasonable prices. Five stars!

Yelp
Waited outside the store from noon to 12:45p today. Was hoping to check out the shop on our way to the airport, but nobody showed up to open. Hopefully everything is ok with whoever was supposed to be there, and we'll check y'all out next time we're in town.

Yelp
New Orleans is certainly not short of good quality vintage vinyl shopping options...but for me this one stands out due to its really well curated selection of high quality albums encompassing all sorts of genres and for the genuine friendliness of its attentive proprietor Ben. Being a Mad Men era music nut I was so overjoyed to find a fine copy of Sinatra's iconic 'In the Wee Small Hours' album at a truly fair price which is no small feat! A must stop for any true vinyl fanatic (or fanatic in training). I visited three times in two days as I was staying only a block away...but parking is easy and there are great coffee places (try Cherry Coffee Roasters just one block down...delicious!) as well as many other independently owned shops all around. A NOLA treasure for sure!

Yelp
This place has a great selection of records of most all genres that are all very reasonably priced. Lots of gems, rares, and local stuff. The owner is super nice too. I should have asked him if he had a bluegrass section.... No WSP either, Thats what I was looking for but cant fault the place. Other than that top notch. I left a happy customer with three Live Rolling Stones albums. Recommend this place to any vinyl enthusiast! Not a hipster/tourist trap like a lot of vintage shops in town.

Yelp
Love this shop. Wonderful selection of not only albums but t-shirts and art as well. The owner is very kind and is a huge supporter or local musicians. He often has live music and sells local albums along with everything else! I would highly recommend you stop by!

Yelp
Great neighborhood shop on magazine. The music selection is killer and the owner couldn't be more helpful. If you're looking for an hour to kill in the lower garden district, this is the spot.

Yelp
Was walking down Magazine trying to yelp a record shop to buy some time before the Mardi Gras parades. Seemed like most were too far away and then I got lucky and found this place. Spent a couple hours digging through the gold and listening/talking music with the owner. He's a great dude who helped me find a lot of what I was looking for. Grabbed 4 awesome records for 38$ what a deal! So glad I was able to stop by and check out this new record shop

Yelp
I visit this spot frequently and there is always a fresh new vinyl selections to dig through. The selections are well organized making it easier to run in and grab anything you may be looking for. And to top it off the owner is very knowledgable about what he has in his store, from the newest issued and reissued vinyl, to his large selection of used vinyl. I find the prices fair and all the used stuff is in excellent condition. The location is very convenient for anyone in the uptown area, and if you are not in the area I highly recommend paying a visit. The vibe is always positive, the sounds played definitely set the mode for digging, and on a couples of times I've been there, there were dj's spinning which was pretty cool. Anyone in the New Orleans area looking to grab some records should check this spot. You won't be disappointed!!!

Yelp
This is a great hidden gem. Large selection of used vinyl in all genres. I was surprised how reasonable the prices were. I spent $140 but I walked out with a LARGE stack of LPs., most in the $6-10 range. I highly recommend spending an hour or two picking here!

Yelp
My wife and I stumbled upon Nola Mix Records on a walk down Magazine St. We are really glad we did. I found an album that I've been searching for and other vinyl gems. The owner, Ben, is super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We live in Los Angeles and Ben shipped our vinyl albums to us in perfect condition. Next time we are in New Orleans, we'll definitely go back to Nola Mix Records.

Yelp
Awesome little record shop on magazine st.! I shop for vinyl often, and Nola Mix is a shop that I go to everytime. Very nice selection of soul, funk, disco, rock and New Orleans music. I love digging for records here. They have a great selection of rare and obscure regional 45's as well. Ben the owner is very knowledgable about the records in his shop as well helpful, and super friendly. If you're passing through the city and want to shop for records, then I highly recommend this spot.

Yelp
Great selection of vinyl and local art! Ben, the owner is so nice! You'll enjoy your visit!

Yelp
Nola Mix has quickly become one of my favorite shops in NOLA. A great selection of unique records you won't find elsewhere. Early hip hop, soul, funk, NOLA music and a rock section to boot. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The also offer DJ lessons and occasionally have cool events. Definitely worth a stop.
